Hi there! Never even knew these challenges existed until I saw one on Youtube recently.
Decided to give it a go, I've started a Blood Elf Warrior on Chamber of Aspects EU. Looking forward to some challenge in the game again ^^
If there's an Ironman guild on CoA EU (I couldn't seem to find the suggested one on /who) I'd be happy to join if someone threw an invite my way, the character name is the same as the forum name, Sharyat.
I only have one question regarding Warrior. Do people recommend a one-handed weapon and a shield, or a two handed weapon if it has higher damage? Thanks!^^
Good luck to all other challengers out there:)

Oh, Warrior. One of the hardest (and since MoP most boring) classes for the challenge. xD
I would say use a shield and weapon at the beginning and later on switch to a 2-handed for more damage, since you only have 1 damage skill. You could also run around with both and switch them witha macro (if that is still possible).

Always use a two-handed weapon, you need all the rage you can get. Also, if you're not very fond of the Blood Elves I would suggest re-rolling to NE.

And for the Flip-Side, Defensive is more important than Offense. When fighting a difficult mob ... with more defense and less offense, you can always come back to a mob later. with more offense and less defense, you will more likely die, and can't come back later (unless you count reincarnation). There are surely situations when a two handed weapon will make sense, but most of the time, or when in doubt, I would suggest using a shield (mho).

Ironworgen, I used to think the same as you - that defense is more important than offense, but for warrior it's just not true. With a one-handed weapon the rage generation is so small that you are forced to auto-attack most of the time and the auto-attack damage is small. The only time 1h+shield is better is when fighting against more mobs but you should really avoid this scenario.

I've been saying this since heroic strike stopped granting bonus damage with 1h weapons. There was a time when 1h/shield was viable but that time has passed.

At higher levels (91+) 1h+shield is the preferred setup due to Shield Barrier but until then 2 handed is better.
