And lastly "this is not in the spirit of the challenge" - I don't see the 'spirit' mentioned in Rules. Thats the difference between the 'Letter' of the Law and the 'Spirit' of the Law. Not everything can be quantified into rules, some things you have to 'feel'. There are many ways to level without dying, and all of them are impressive ways, but NOT all of them are Iron ways. The Spirit of the challenge has been steadily diminishing for years.

The Spirit of the challenge has been steadily diminishing for years. Feelings. Whats the difference between "rules" and "feelings"? Oh yes RULES are objective and are set out in a way that everyone has a strict list to go by, boundries set. FEELINGS are subjective, therefore different people will have different points of view based on different morals, emotions and personal tastes or goals, right or wrong. No one has a right to force a "feeling" or "spirit" on anyone else, write it in the rules so everyone can have an objective to go by, or keep your "feelings" to yourself. When i say this im not just talking to you ironworgen, hopefully im talking to a broader audience, well the ones that have not BLOCKED me anyway. Funnily enough that happened after my "Choosing an Iron race, based on Facts not Feelings" post. Actually I think there is no challenge anymore or the challenge morphed lately into "how to get to max level through ANY means without getting flagged". There is still a challenge for many, many people, i for one thoroughly enjoy it. Yes the challenge im sure has evolved and progressed far from what you knew back in cata. Many many more people are involved and enjoy the experience, sorry to hear you do not anymore. Yes the challenge is how to get to max level whilst staying green flagged within a ruleset.

Many more people are NOT involved than back in Cata and the number involved in Legion has decreased further. Saying the challenge has evolved and progressed is incorrect... it has devolved and regressed if anything.
As Lyssan said: Actually I think there is no challenge anymore or the challenge morphed lately into "how to get to max level through ANY means without getting flagged".
The spirit of the challenge is gone and when suggestions to have tighter rules to maintain the spirit of the challenge are made people poo-poo them. Being more busy with work and enjoying playing Hearthstone are the major reasons I've been gone lately but these things have contributed as well.

I think there will always be a lulll in these kind of challenges after a new expansion. Once people start getting bored of the legion content I'm sure the numbers will increase again.

... We must play with what Blizz provides us, if it means getting killed, we avoid it. If it means we get a free lunch we should ban it? Hunters will love that encounter, other classes (like rogues) probably won't be able to benefit from it. Before specs, pallies were virtually unplayable as iron, now it is one very powerful class. Bliz changes the game as they want, we just try to get to max lvl with minimal gear, no dying and a few other restrictions. ... I care to disagree. I played a pally all the time. Now it's just not fun any more. Before specs it was not impossible. All my Pallys died due to errors on my side, bugs or DCs. Only one died from "regular ironmanning". If my eyesight had been better (it never will be) I would have gotten one to max before Specs came and ruined the fun. See you when Classic hits.

The white vendor weapons you can get at 60-70 will be with you a long time, there are some at 100-110 but they are grey and are only 2-3 DPS higher and are a rare grey drop.

Well, for now I can’t even reach level 21 starting as Allied race. First attempt : Agrro 4 mobs, decided to fight => rip (level 20.25) Second attempt : Charging a mini quest boss => 3 shoted => rip (level 20.80) I’ll retry more carefully. On side note : I enjoyed very much my second attempt : Zundalari troll warrior, fury spec and Loa +4% critic rate (proc). I’ll with a healing Loa. The 1 starting gold was invested in 2 2H weapons and 1 (sic) item on chest I can already say it’s changing drastically the game and I love it.

Where was that “hunter” xp exploit? I’m not a hunter, just curious.
