Ster's thread got a bit side tracked, so thought I'd do a short version of what he did and add my thoughts.
Level 1 to 60 - pick zones you are familiar with. Be above the level of the mobs in the zone (fight green mobs)
Level 60 to 61 - explore outlands (stay at max height). Finish any content in Azeroth to get to 61.
61 to 70 - Can one shot stuff in Azeroth if you have content left. Outlands is toughest place to level. Not a lot of tricks. Clear out each zone before going to a higher zone. Try to get above the levels of the mobs you are fighting. Always be watchful for extra adds. Be patient. Skip any quest you are unsure of. Don't do cave quest in Zangarmarsh, it has a glitch. Ster's post has some ideas as well.
If you get to this point, you can easily get to 110 if you are willing to take your time.
70 to 71 - quest in Borean Tundra (or Howling Fjord if you are more familiar with it) You can explore Northrend if you find the questing too difficult.
71 to 77- Isle of Quel'Danas Dailies. Very easy. Close to one shot everything. This will take a couple weeks. You will only have 20ish minutes a day of stuff to do.
77 - 80 - quest in Northrend. Will only need two zones to hit 80.
80 to 81 - explore northrend. Head up to PvZ daily quests in Hillsbrad Foothills. Do Cub Daily in Winterspring and the seal daily in Howling Fjord. Start argent Dailies.
81 to 85 - Storm Peak and Ice Crown will be very easy at this point. Lots of dailies as well in both places and argent crusade dailies.
85 to 86 - Hit the 3 scaling dailies (pvz, cub, seals) You can do these 3 dailies all the way to 110 at this point. Explore all Cata zones (fly high).
86 to 90 - You can quest in Cata zones easily now. At 87 Fireland dailies and Tol Barad dailies can be done. Group dailies in TB can be tricky until 88. I'd skip on some classes until 88.
90 to 97 - Explore MoP zones (fly high). Fireland and Tol Barad dailies will last a few more levels. Start MoP dailies at the Arboretom in the Jade Forest, the Half Hill dailies, and the 3 dailies in Vale of Eternal Blossoms by the Serpent's Spine Flight Point. Careful with Aboretom and Half Hill, some of those dailies, especially early on, can be dangerous. Just do the ones you feel are safe.
97 to 100 - Quest and get treasures in WoD zones.
100 - 110 - Garrison will offer quests: (I copied this from Lyssan's Post)
- Dwarven bunker - 1 quest (level 2), one scaling daily (level 3) ***GET THIS ASAP. GREAT DAILY QUEST THAT SCALES***
- Lumber mill - 5 scaling quests (at various building levels)
- Barn - 3 scaling quests (one at each building level)
- Trading Post - 1 scaling quest
- Stables - DOZENS of scaling quests available at building level 1
Can keep questing in WoD and finding treasures where you feel it's safe. Keep hitting repeatable dailies. See Ster's write up for ideas on questing in Legion zones. Worst case scenario, you can do dailies to 110 if you don't feel safe in Legion.
So that's the easy route. Some people will prefer a more difficult route. Main problem with this way is some days you will only have 30 minutes or less of stuff to do until the next day when dailies reset. My advice for those days is start leveling a different toon so you can stay busy on the days you don't have much to do. Trying to go to zones you aren't ready for because you are looking for something to do isn't a great strategy.
Best of luck! Hope to see many more people hit 110!
