When this challenge began, back in 2012 I think, the tracker was a very simple thing. It was a spread sheet where you entered your data, updated from time to time and wrote when and how you died. There was - I believe - no fetching of data from Blizzard. It was all a honour thing and a personal challenge. Could we try and revive this spirit, now Classic has gone live? I'm not going Iron Man for some time yet, as I want to experience the world and the professions and have (I already have had) tons of fun. But when the hype has died down, when I've killed all the elites and gotten all their gear, gotten each and every recipe, run every dungeon etc. Then I'll pull out my Iron Man Classic. See you in Azeroth!

I learned about the challenge in 2012, but there already was a tracking website (wowironman I think or something along those lines). I agree it'd be nice to have something as simple as a spreadsheet but we've seen many ppl trying hard to find any loopholes (like when pet battles started). With the new armory it's really hard to see things about a toon, while it was easier back in 2012. I prefer to have some proof from Blizz than not have any

Deat Xaya. I'm afraid you're right. I remember when the tracker began. People were doing fine, and then, when they died, they were suddenly red-flagged. They had been playing in green/blue gear, re-dreessing in greys/whites before they logged out (which was what Armory looked at then). But death somehow took a snapshot of their status. I feel sorry that honour is not enough.
