I just spent the last half hour testing and re-testing the invisible mob in the Zangarmarsh cave. I have always had a theory that it was AoE attacks that aggro the mob and I am nearly certain this is true now. I ran back and forth repeatedly through that section of tunnels both fighting and out of combat and NEVER got aggro from the invisible mob except when I used Blood Boil (my AoE) If a hunter turns off thunderclap, warlock removes shadow shield from their Voidwalker or any other class avoids AoE attacks they should be safe in my estimation. Also learned that the "mob" must be a Marsh Dredger/Lurker even though it can't be targeted because at one point it cast the entangling roots spell on me. If one of you Iron hunters with a high level scout could go test to confirm it isn't just a hunter issue that would be great I confirmed Brittle's theory with Dvorette--I took my pet's AOE stomp off, and voila--no invisible mob aggro. Seems like we have a workaround now--and maybe Blizz will fix this bug for good someday?

Zone: Arathi Highlands (extreme top left corner) Mob: Zorn - Level 28 Rare Spider Was doing a "rare hunting" circuit of Arathi and was killed at level 36 and full health (1716 HPs) by 5 ticks of a 12 dmg poison dot from Zorn who was nowhere to be seen. I had just checked Zorn's spawn location and found nothing so had moved a few yards away to check the map to locate the next rare to hunt when I saw I had started taking 12 points of damage from a DoT. I assumed it was from one of the other low level spiders in that area and didn't think I was in any immediate danger... and then dropped dead! I'd heard no combat sounds and after checking the combat log confirmed that the "only" damage I received was indeed 5 ticks of 12 dmg from Zorn's poison DoT. After checking on Wowhead I discovered Zorn can glitch and phase between Hillsbrad Foothills and Arathi Highlands whilst in the middle of combat so I guess that must have had "something" to with what happened. The comments on Wowhead suggest he's less likely to phase if you attack him when he's on the Hillsbrad Foothills side so I suggest people try from that side of Thoradin's Wall first if they intend to hunt him. Oh well, at least there's some small consolation in dying to a glitch rather than one's own fault.

Darkshore: Shatterspear Shaman - www.wowhead.com/npc=32860/shatterspear-shaman#abilitiesIf he drops his totem, kill it immediately. had two on me and had two totems out. they do 97 damage each tick. at level 14-16 that is a good chunk ofyour health... stat squish math error?

1. The quest A New Adornment in southern Ashenvale has quite a few level 24/25 Furbolgs surrounding the quest NPC (level 26). If you decide to do this quest, be very careful -- or wait until someone else comes and kills them all, and wait for the quest NPC. The quest NPC has a shorter respawn timer than the guards. 2. The Last Stand in Ashenvale. The NPC fighting the demons asks you to kill 30 of them, but a lot attack the quest NPC (I'd stay near him if you decide to do this quest), spawning from the corners of the buildings. There's a high chance multiple will attack you at the same time if you use AoE spells. 3. -- I'll update this post as I continue doing quests.

desolace quest "jugkar's undoing" you "take control" of the doomlord to kill jugkar, I just died at 38 trying this, it seems the doomlord is only as tough as your gear, avoid at all costs, it would probably be possible at 40ish as I almost had him..........just a heads up. no on to #10 hunter

I did the Dread Head Redemption quest - well did - I nearly died at level 27 with two level 22's hitting on me. What made this harder was that I am a warrior so I couldn't use either the charge or the Victory Rush skills as the bad guy is initially a NPC miles away from anything I can kill. I had to run away and make it out of the Mine hoping I wouldn't be caught!
So, advice would be to stay well away from this quest.

did the cave with thunderstomp off and it was fine Alas, it seems like the "it's an AOE thing" theory has a hole in it. I ran into the cave with my pet's thunderstomp off today, I used no AOE, and I DID encounter the phantom mob. So back to the drawing board--which is blaming Blizzard for still not fixing this bug

Just did this quest: www.wowhead.com/quest=25999/barrier-to-entry as a level 32 Warrior. Now the mobs were only 25-26 but I had to skirt around them to complete the quest as I took on one 25 and he had me down to 50% health in only a few hits - I guess there were rogue types. Anyway, I killed it and ended up at about 10% health by the end amazing as I would have thought they could barely hit me with 7 levels between us!

7 levels difference should provide a good enough buffer for a warrior, however, there are some mobs, especially the fast hitting ones, that may easily bring you down if they dont miss their attacks.

I just want to remind people that the quest Rocket Rescue (45) in Tanaris (the one where you take the balloon from Gadgetzan and throw rocket packs to goblins & bomb pirates) can still bug. When your finished the quest, your supposed to exit the vehicle by using the Emergency Rocket pack which sends you on a rocket back to Gadgetzan... (where you'll have kind of a scary fall, but will survive).
Well, last night when I completed the quest and hit the Emergency Rocket Pack button, instead of getting my rocket, the balloon straight up disappeared and I started falling to what I thought was my inevitable death (I was still over the bombing area chock full of angry pirates). I was lucky enough to miss land (and high enough level to not aggro the pirates on it), but if I had hit that Emergency Rocket Pack button a second earlier I would have landed on an island where I would have either been killed by falling damage, or finished off by about 20 pirates.
So, if you do Rocket Rescue - be sure you are over open water before you hit that Emergency Rocket Pack button in case you don't get a rocket!

"The Ancient Brazier" www.wowhead.com/quest=25762 water elemental Aquarian has again, 6K HP so be sure to be far past his level if you're melee. Almost cashed in my chips on this one at Lev 45 as he is also immune to 'Paralysis'. The adrenalin-rush continues !!

i'd like to add the quest nura pathfinder. where you have to head to nura pathfinder near the border of southern barrens/stonetalon be sure to go up the ramp that is connected to malak'jin and not go to where it will lead you directly into the alliance base like i just did >.< you'll aggro level 38 pvp guards that will auto flag you once aggroed

Just had a couple close calls while doing The Good Stuff. Angor Fortress wasn't safe for me -- mobs usually came in packs of two, aggro from far away, and even fighting one always left me below 50% health. I abandoned this one, but if you decide to do it, be careful. If it wasn't for Paralysis, this iron would be dead.
