I was thinking of doing that with the doomguard, yeah, problem is these mobs live so long he already dies when they're on about 50%, so I want to maximise his uptime. That said, losing just a few sec won't hurt that much in the grand scheme, so yeah I'll try that I think!

It definitely wasn't my preferred method but after I went oom the first couple of times I summoned him it was the best I could come up with

Yeah his summon cost is seriously painful - my approach is summon him, lifetap once, get BoD and immolate up and then just heal my voidwalker, makes fights very very slow though! I'll give your approach a try next time I think and see if that helps. Btw when you reach Sethria, expect it to take 2-3 minutes, I gave up trying to do any serious dps and concentrated on survival, basically most useful dots+health funnel only, I got two bandages and three Banes of Doom up before she went down, so that gives some idea how long it took! Btw I was just reading the US forums (can't post there being on an EU account) and seeing your and Notso's comments about Wintergarde Mausoleum, and the nonstop respawning abominations. For future people doing this, there's a back entrance, where you do the Thelzen fight, where if you go through a roomful of undead you reach the other end of the passage Plunderbeard is in. It *may* be safer to enter that way when going to find Plunderbeard. Although this does rely on nobody starting the Thelzen event while you're pulling the first few undead out of the way, since getting a 2 mins stun with mobs beating you up isn't going to end well. If there's nobody else around it may be safer than those abominations were though, I too killed them a dozen or so times each!

Just finishied the In the Rear with the Gear, what a pain in the.... err.....neck....yeah let's just go with that.
Aside from that I decided to fly down to Shrine of Aessina and pick up the flight point. Suprisingly when I got there there were quests available there. So apparently is possible to skip some of the Shrine of Goldrinn quests for a bit anyway. I don't know if you can get all the next set since I didn't actually look at which were available.

Ohh, nice! I assumed I had to finish the previous shrines completely before getting anything there; I'll head over there next then. Thanks for the info, great to know I can do some more, will be interesting seeing how far that chain can lead. I'll have to look around some more then, noticed when I did my flyover of Twilight Highlands that there were quests available in some areas even though I'd obviously done none of the chains there. Maybe it's not quite so linear as I'd thought then.

Yeah, I just got done with the Shrine of Aessina quests, to the point that I unlocked the Shrine of Malorne ones. I'm currently going back and hitting a few of Goldrinn quests but frankly I found the Aessina ones easier than the Goldrinn. At some point probably all the shrine ones will have to be done before proceeding is possible but at least it looks like it's possible to jump around a little.
Grats on 84 by the way

That's great to hear, I'll head over there after doing my dailies then, two more chrines available is much more than I'd hoped! And thanks, think 85 will take some time though, 9 million exp is a bit ouch

Decided to go back and clean up some quests in Stormpeaks this morning, turned out to be a bad idea since I ended up getting killed by one of the elites there Sirana Iceshriek. I had remembered most of her mechanics but forgot about one of them, ah well. Anyway, about the 9 million, yeah it's alot but there's a good number of quests that you can pick up that don't require much in the way of fighting that can rack up a good bit of xp, and perhaps you've already done them. Escorting Anduin around the docks for the very beginning of the Twilight Highlands opening chain comes to mind. It's a good bit of xp even if you don't go past where he gets attacked at the shrine. Also if you go into deepholm theres one quest obtainable in the back that doesn't require anything more than flying out to the Master's Gate: Fly Over. Have to think about any others Now that I think about it, I can use Telzey to test some out for you now that she's dead

Really sorry you died, sucks to get so close And yeah I already did those you mentioned, see my other thread in this subforum Thanks for the Shrine of Aessina tip btw, just done that and heh, it's far easier than Shrine of Goldrinn was, great! Hopefully Shrine of Malorne will be as well, it's nice being able to relax a little while killing stuff.

Yeah I had a moment of stupid this morning, had several actually but this one finally got me, anyhow. I got lucky and nothing came and attacked while I was doing the Defending the flameward quest. I've seen that happen before but I figure that quest could get dicey if those Charbringer's show up When Doing Hells Shells, you can clear or position yourself so that you run through the flamegate if you don't get a chance to mount and run for it before he attacks.

I've never had that bug! Just did it though having read that the mobs were only 15k in health, turned out the first couple came one at a time as well so I could nuke them down quickly, and by the time I had 3 up and was thinking of summoning my infernal, the flameward decided it was ready and blew them all up. Easy, surprisingly! I'm now quest- blocked by Cindermaul, honestly not sure how hard he is; I've had no difficulty with named mobs I've done since hitting 84, but I've heard a bit about him being hard so I'll leave it for now and see how much exp I can get in Vash'jir. I'll probably end up coming back to him though, since he's probably easier than I'm expecting anyway!

I do remember that Cindermaul has that stun and he summons the adds out of the portal, I don't think he hits all that hard but with that stun it could get rough
I'm taking Telzey out to Vash at the moment myself just to check it out, other than the risk of aggroing stuff from all directions I don't remember too many of the initial quests there being all that bad, having said that I haven't done Vash nearly as much as I have mount hyjal.
Speaking of checking out, I went into Deepholm and tried my hand at the quest to investigate the gunship. The elementals there have a 10k smash that they can hit (on cloth at least at 83) and a damage absorbtion shield so it takes a lot more damage to kill them then their healthbar would suggest (got Telzey her second death, heh).

Strange how having died once pulls other deaths with it... Well while I wasn't exactly trying to die, I was being alot more adventurous than I would have been, but I wanted to check out a couple of quests so I could see how bad it was and give advice.

That was what I meant to say - if I did not succeed, blame it on my not having English as my native language. I sometimes feel like this: I tried with a toon dead from DC, and i did not care as much, and died after a short while. .
