So heard Stone asking for a guide, and others have mentioned it as well, so thought I'd share a few tips I've found doing the Blood Thirsty Challenge.
First, some general tips:
1. Hunter is by far the best option for this challenge (use a tank pet like a bear). They have many abilities that are good for the challenge, plus they kill things quick which is huge when you have to kill so much stuff. And most importantly, they may very well be the only class that can kill stuff in Legion zones from 100 to 110. I've killed plenty of mobs on my 110 iron hunter in Legion zones, so it is possible to grind to 110 on a hunter blood thirsty iron.
2. Three things I look for in mobs: neutral, low health, and melee. You will see these three factors for where I chose to grind mobs.
3. Hunters can fight mobs from 1 to 60 that are a few levels above their own. From 60 on, I'd suggest sticking to mobs at your level or lower.
4. Rested xp is obviously huge. Once I hit outlands, I only grind with rested XP. It will cut your time in half for leveling.
Places to grind Mobs:
Elwynn Forest - Maclure Vinyards - there are neutral pigs there that respawn very fast. Very easy to level quickly.
Loch Modan - lots of rares to go around and kill. Just kill stuff as you go.
Wetlands - Slabchisel's Survey - anyone that has been here has spent time grinding the neutral slimes there for that one quest. They are neutral and lots of them that respawn.
Hinterlands - by the east coast there, down the cliff are neutral turtles. Great spot. I go there as early as possible and grind the neutral turtles for a quite a few levels. There is a horde area down there to be careful for.
Western Plaguelands - i follow a path around the outside/mountains. There are quite a few rares there if you follow that path. You will mostly kills bears and wolves. Mobs aren't neutral here, so have to be more careful.
Eastern Plaguelands - near Light's Hope Chapel - there are lots of neutral slimes/slugs (not sure what they are). Lots of them there. There are random gargoyles that pat through there to watch out for. They are on level, but easy to aggro them while fighting something else.
Badlands - Fuselight - great spot. Kill all those neutral goats there ( just be careful to not fall off the cliff). These are the goats you kick for the quest there. Be ready for people to tell you that you are an idiot and that you aren't supposed to kill the goats you are supposed to kick them I go here as early as possible and stay for quite a while.
Swamp of Sorrows - Misty Valley (far northwest corner) - This is another great spot. These mobs aren't neutral, however, their health is very low for their level. Again, i go here early and stay for quite a few levels. There is a rare that will spawn there as well.
Blasted Lands - I stay around Nethergarde Keep and fight the lizards, pigs, hyenas etc.. around there. A few rares will spawn. These aren't neutral so be careful.
OUTLANDS: (can't always find good neutral mobs to kill, but everything I'll list is melee, which imo is much easier to grind)
Hellfire Peninsula - the buzzard just down from Honor Hold are good. however, you got the big dude wandering around in HP, so you may not want to grind here.
Terokkar Forrest - Allerian Stronghold - I went just north west of here and would grind the spiders and wolves. Not neutral, so again be careful.
Nagrand - Telaar - I'd circle around near here killing mobs. You can find some neutral mobs, but not all will be.
Netherstorm - Stormspire - Fly down to one of the areas under here. You will find some neutral mobs, but not all.
NORTHREND:
Howling Fjord - Kamagua - the spot where we do the seals daily, you can kill those seals. They are neutral so I stayed here a while.
Sholazar Basin - Nesingwary Base Camp - where the giraffes and cheetahs are. Giraffes are neutral, but not the cheetahs.
Icecrown - Argent Tournament Grounds - great spot, but a little dangerous. Just up to the west of the tournament grounds, up a bit on a cliff side. there are lots of humans/wizards that have very low health. They aren't neutral, and some have range abilities, so definitely have to be careful. However, their low health makes it a good spot.
CATA ZONES:
Mount Hyjal - Shrine of Aviana - Go a little north and then west from the shrine. You will find a long ledge where there are human/wizard mobs, and some lighting type mobs. I go back and forth along this ledge over and over again. I stay here all the way to level 85. The mobs again have very low health, so it is a good spot. However, they aren't neutral, and can have range abilities so have to be careful.
MoP ZONES:
Jade Forest - from Paw'Don Village follow the path to the north. You will go over a couple bridges. You will eventually find an area that has tigers and caterpillars. I stay here tell 90 and kill the caterpillars and bugs that walk on the river there. I make a giant loop around. There are tigers that can be tough, so be careful. These caterpillars have VERY low HP for their level.
WoD ZONES:
Take the back way through timeless isle (youtube it if you don't know how to get there. be careful, lots of high level mobs around timeless isle)
Shadowmoon Valley - Twilight Glade (The Nightmarsh) - you have to be very careful here in the low 90s. Frenzied Swamplighters have very low health and give good xp. However, they come in packs of 1, 2 or 3. Also, some are gathered beneath a tree, and above them are another group. Not always, but sometimes if you attack the ones down below, the ones up above will aggro as well and you will have up to 6 on you. These mobs give a nasty poison that you can't interrupt. If you get hit twice with it in the early 90s you will be in trouble. There are large hydras here that you don't want to attack until you are like 96 or so. They are tough. There are some eels in the water near there that a hunter can handle. After you get near the mid 90s this areas is very simple.
LEGION:
Stormhelm - Valisdale - Jump off at Dalarn and swim all the way around the east side until you can circle around to Stormhelm. Get out of the water near Greywatch. Take paths up to Valisdale. There are galecrested eagles here that you can kill on a hunter. Don't kill ravens, their xp isn't worth it. Just kill the eagles around here. Your pet will take a beating. Have to keep heals up at all times on your pet, and be ready to rez if he dies. If you d/c you will probably die. Have your concussion shot ready if your pet dies, but you will have time to rez it if you use concussion shot. The eagles are all neutral, so you shouldn't pull anything else. Hunter can not fight more than one mob at a time.
So that's it. Grinding can obviously be very boring. However, time wise, I think it may actually be quicker doing blood thirsty than normal iron. My level 99 BT hunter has /played of 4 days 20 hours. The reason it goes quickly is you are constantly getting xp. There is very little down time of going from quest to quest. With all the spots I listed, you will constantly be killing. Once one mob is dead, you are on to the next one. This makes the actual time played low.
Hope this helps someone. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.
