Edana Hatetalon in Feralas.
Another mob in the parade of mob abilities that weren't squished properly and hit far harder they should.
Her Lightning Cloud does far more damage than it ever used to. Before it did moderate damage and then continued to do more if you stayed in the area.
Now it did 1180 damage on initial impact at lvl 56 (I only had 1380 max) and that was with my mages Prismatic Barrier soaking 286 damage and reducing the total damage by 15%.... this would likely one shot or nearly one shot most Irons I'd imagine. Add to that she casts the infamous NPC version of Lightning Bolt and she is not an NPC to be trifled with.
Really thought I was getting a mage to 60 finally post-7.3.5.... reroll incoming.

So, Cata. The quest giver in Stormwind, near the portals to Deepholm, TB, MoP, Mt. Hyjal, etc. He will give you a quest to look into bowl, then you take a taxi to Deepholm. If it works right, you will be on the taxi while the narrator explains how Deepholm got all messed up. But in the transition, sometimes you emerge dismounted. Or in my case, I was DC'ed. I immediately logged back in and was falling to my death. I recovered by popping a Goblin Glider kit and circled down to the ground. This can be tricky though, timing is critical. Except for druids, they go into flight mode. If you are unlucky, you will be falling down an orange shaft of the mountain. Problem is that you can't tell where the ground is, the floor is same orange color.
All in all, might be worth skipping Deepholm, that 1st step getting there is a killer. I died to this bug many years ago, you'd think it would be fixed by now. Apparently not.

the spiders inside the bonus objective The Forgotten Caves will give you a poison that will spawn 'hallucinatory' mobs that do real damage. If your pet has the poison, those mobs will spawn but will attack you, and you won't be able to target them. My greenman abandonned that objective after getting down to 74 hp (from 10241)

Yeah, I remember that stupid cave. I was grossly overleveling that zone before the scaling when I did that and still almost died. Back to Cata, we have the Wormwing Swifttalon in Hyjal. Her talon is swift indeed. And retarded. Then in Deepholm we have Bouldergut, at the end of one of the pillar quest chains. This is where I abandoned Deepholm because this dude one shots the pet continuously with some combo slick moves of Blizzard laziness origin... There's also a Twilight Crusher that has a proper name, it kinda crushes you. Also the troggs are pretty vicious. A very stressful zone, compared to Hyjal, but the leveling is crazy fast. Speaking about terrible QA, Uldum sucks. Kavem the Callous, absolutely stupid, I had to abandon it, too risky to kite, not worth it... I'm so glad that one of the first 3 quests from a zone, in a prerequisite quest game design is broken. Yay!

There is an elite roaming around while you do Argent Call the noxious glade. It 2 shotted my pet, went after me and I got one-shotted on my greenman. The quest is doable but just stay away from the elite

Can confirm, that elite really likes being pulled by the paladin boys and then to chase after you. Frost nova didn’t work, and because he’s huge it’s hard to tell when he’ll be in range to swing. Be very careful of where he is at all times. The safe approach would be to skip that area completely, but that blocks off a lot of later quests.

Hehe, that one is easy to avoid, it's the size of World Trade Center. Of course there's always the possibility to get sucked into the game and not look around, but that shouldn't happen while playing iron And not to mention the unfortunate event when the elite is killed by a high level and respawns on top of you. that's just a Kodak moment right there.

Lunar Festival. Blizzard game design surprises. Astrannar Elder, Ashenvale. Me horde, level 102. Astrannar Santinel, level 60. Me "oh, hahaha, level 60, not even gonna aggro". Try to get elder quest. Astranaar Santinel shoots. Astranaar Santinel, level 60. Me, level 102. Me, 25% life left, plus PvP enabled. Me GTFO. Seriously, Blizzard, still shaking. Level 60 almost one shoots level 102. Game design award of the year!

It was just a very angry level 60, I went back to check again. You can also check on wowhead, Astranar Santinel is level 28-60. I assume it has one of those stupid percent damage, like those mobs in Sunwell who would hit you for 50%, no matter the level, but this one is doing 75%. Probably you won’t feel it with proper gear, but I’m naked

So I did some more research and it seems it spawns max level sentinels, kinda like a whack-a-mole that hits back. Ahahaha, I must be very lucky When I was doing world PvP back in Cata I only had high level guards when I was killing the low level NPCs, not just hovering around. Pffff
