Hello all on Wyrmrest!
Just started the challenge on this server. My warrior Ironlordie hit lvl 10 a few hours ago. My first try so I might not last long...

I hope the Ironman challenge is not dead... hehe no puns intended. I have made me a toon on Wyrmrest Accord Nakeddruid. She is a night elf druid of coarse. Wish me luck!

Welcome! Definitely not dead on Wyrmrest Accord! There is a great group of irons there. Join us in the /iron chat channel whenever you're on. Late afternoon/evenings are the most populated but some of us play at all sorts of odd hours. Good luck to you!

Hi, I'm Zytomat on Wyrmrest Accord. I just created this account because I plan on creating a new toon for the Ironman Challenge. Looking forward to it!
edit: Just created my first character! A gnome warlock named Padiron.

I've decided I'm not the biggest fan of my gnome's voice, so I've decided to reroll as a human mage. His name is Sevardo.
edit: Scratch that. I'm continuing my gnome warlock. Thanks for the welcomes!

Hello all! I'm currently playing Wistiria on Wyrmerest Accord. I initially started the challenge a few days ago with my hunter Wistirea on Proudmoore. I think I enjoy leveling more than anything else in WoW. I'm not really an alt-o-holic as much as I'm a leveling-a-holic. I've done or tried most stuff in-game (my mains Impatiens and Wistiria on Proudmoore raid, every expansion I've given pvp a shot and learned that it's not my thing, etc.), but nothing quite "does it for me" like leveling characters. I have so much fun with it in the end I always revert back to leveling when I want to do what I enjoy most. I ended Cata with all classes at 85, and two additional druids and an additional hunter at 85, a few priests in the 60's, and a handful of druids in the 58-68 range. So far in MoP I've leveled a monk and yet another shaman from start to level cap, two of my druids, my rogue, one of my hunters, and my paladin to 90. I wanted to level, but the rest of my alts didn't sound entertaining to me, and this seemed like it would be level with a kick! So I had to try it. Anyway, with my first Wistirea I got to level 23, hit a quest in Ashenvale that wanted me to go into a tower guarded by a ton of fast respawning Horde NPC's. I thought to myself "Okay you've done this quest before on other characters, you died in full heirlooms on this quest, you learned when doing that quest NOT to go barreling into that tower and there is a better way to do this quest..." and then logged out. I logged back in, barreled into the tower and died . I was a bit upset at myself and thought "Gosh darnit! You knew not to do that!" I felt like I should have been sad...but...it was my own thoughtlessness that got me killed oddly, I think I was sadder at the loss of my starter pet the day before. For his death I literally yelled out "Steelpaw, NOOOOOOOO!!!" It took me a few minutes of stupor and pouting before I went and tamed a crab. After the death of Wistirea, I started Wistirea the shaman on Proudmoore. I got to level 15 but the site crawler wouldn't catch her (because I re-used the name I guess), and I like the idea of being able to track my progress. After giving it some thought, I decided I'd swap over to Wyrmrest Accord Alliance, since it seems like there's some Ironman Challenge community on the realm. I know I like Wyrmrest alright since already have some Horde characters on Wyrmrest (Liliac and Lilliac), but I know the Alliance quests better than the Horde, so dwarf hunter it is! (I think I like shaman (and druids) more than hunters, but for solo questing I like having my hunter's pet, it's like having a friend around to share the experience). Anyhoo...thought I'd say hi. Obviously I ramble a lot. I joined the /iron channel so hopefully will see some of you all around. *wave*

Welcome to Wyrmrest! I saw on the forum that you were playing on Proudmoore, but I'm glad you decided to join us too!
Yes, it takes some experience to figure out the risk angle of playing an iron. Things that are easy on a normal (with or without heirlooms) can be deadly on an iron. That's especially the case with pulls or situations involving multiples. As a hunter you have your pet to help (poor Steelpaw!) but you still end up looking at quests in a new way.
I love the playstyle. It has made me so much more aware of everything around me (which could kill me!) and I know my limits in terms of what i can handle in terms of mob and quest level (most of the time).
You will find some great folks in the iron channel! Ask lots of questions. I won't be on till late today, but looking forward to meeting you.
