As a side note, on the holiday mobs in uldum, I tried using seal of insight and seal of truth. Seal of insight didn't give enough heals for me to live. The seal to use is most definitely seal of truth. I did this with a 2h as the only shield I have is from bc.
It's impossible to get the killing blow doing this daily. Everyone who smacks a mob has the same chance of getting a charm, so I've been encountering a lot of smackers. These mobs would have been good for me to grind for charms had it not been for the unwanted help. Bombing the wagon isn't a problem as there are so many grinding, that it keeps the area cleared. I just wait until someone gathers up the mobs to aoe, and while they're killing, I'm bombing.

Opened up Deepholm. I'm not likely to be able to do many quests there. Questing almost came to a stop when I wasn't able to kill the rock elementals early in the zone. They put up a shield that made them immune to my attacks. Not wanting to give up on the zone, I went back later & tried again. I won. When their shields came down, I had enough time to get in 2 crusader strikes before it went back up again. That was enough to keep my hp up and by using naaru early in the fight.
I started grinding there. Not for xp that's for sure. I am only getting 300-400 xp per kill. I've been grinding for charms. I now have enough for 2 days worth. I figure I will grind at least 20 a day until I run out and I'm forced to get 40.
I tried the River Striders on dead pally. Wasn't pretty. It took 2 stunning to bandage, 2 naaru, and lay on hands. And even then it was close. After it was all done, I realized the bandages I had used we're from mop cloth, which iron pally doesn't have. I did find yellow mobs right off the road in Jade Forest with 80k hp vs. the 90k hp the striders have. It was a hard fight, but I didn't have to use lay on hands. I will try a few more fights just to verify the dead pally didn't get some lucky hits in that won't be the norm.
In the mean time, until the holiday event is over with, I will continue to grind in Deepholm instead of concentrating on leveling. I found level 81-82 mobs on the air ship that seem to have the lowest hp and spread out enough not to agro any others. They also don't hit quite as hard as other Deepholm mobs. It's still a long fight, nothing like it was in Ice Crown where in the end I was able to kill close to 150 mobs per hour with no risk of death even when wow had crashed.
I wish I had recorded my total number of kills before I started Cata. But I didn't think about it.
Kills: 25,100 Deepholm: 21/110

Instead of grinding for charms in Deepholm, I have been grinding mottled caterpillars in Jade Forest for 14k xp each. It takes 64 kills to complete one bar of xp. I kill one in about 3min, but need to delay slightly before engaging in the next one to assure my cd's are up. I still only manage to kill 15 per hour even though I should be able to kill 20 per hour. I have to watch my timers very closely to insure I win the fight. The only risk of an add is if I accidently hit the butterfly that insists on flying about. And I wouldn't survive. Heck, I wouldn't survive even fighting just him. He's got too much hp for me to kill. About double that of my caterpillar. After the fight, I am 1/2 hp and oom.
Dc'ing and wow crashes are an ever present threat. But with the wow gods' blessings, I should be 90 by Sunday.

Congrats!! That's awesome you've found away to keep leveling. How much health do mottled caterpillars have?

The butterfly flying around has 158k hp. The mottled caterpillar has 79k hp, and it is in similar difficulty as the Crown Technicians with 53k hp in Uldum, the difference being the technicians hit harder even though they are lower level with less hp.

My journey is complete. When I continued on pally after the nerf, I really didn't expect to hit 90. I just decided to see how far I could bring her. I was very excited to find out that I could do HFP, and that gave me the motivation to continue on. I leveled a tester for her whom I lovingly referred to as dead pally. And my fears were for naught, as everything I tested turned out to be doable. But using her did give me confidence in iron pally's ability to be victorious.
Edit: This isn't exactly true. The one argent boss I tested turned out to be more difficult than I wanted to tackle as he continuously spawned shades. And I was unable to do the key boss needed to open u Uldum.

Didn't think I would make another, but Libertie was finally born to bear the burden and carry the torch. Currently she is 38 with only 3 bars to 39. I decided to skip Desolace & go directly to Feralas, but to get to Feralas, I have to pass through Desolace, so there are a few quests on the way that I will do which are mostly in Karnum's Glade. Didn't bother with the humanoid quests. Pally had done them before, but I got to 39 and 8 bars, so decided to move on to feralas.

Feralas: Leve 39 8 bars
Killed all rares once & most twice. Well, one rare I wasn't able to find, the one by the spiteful sisters. The big one all in the way back I killed twice, so I should have found this one at least once, but didn't. Passed on the Sentinel & the named mob on the top of the pillar. He's glitched on my before, so decided wasn't worth it on pally. Did something a little different than usual. Instead of going directly to Dustwallow, I decided to do the quest line taking me into Thousand Needles just to get the FP. I think this will work better because I hate the quest line to Thousand Needles via Dustwallow. Ended zone at level 43.

Dustwallow: Level 43
For some reason, I was higher level in Duskwood, so I didn't do the quests in Ravenwood which turned out to be a big mistake as I still don't have the needed rep. to get the Stormwind rep. bag. Hoping Dustwallow gives me the 2k I was short very quickly. Would hate to have to go back to Duskwood for my rep. Got a lot of rares here. I only seen one other person besides me. The Deserters was very easy compared to pre-Legion. I even did the raptor bait quest that requires 2 adds to be pulled together and both spawn ghost dogs. I couldn't do that one before, and even on a hunter, it was a near death experience. Turns out going to Needles after Feralas just to get fp worked out very nicely. Ended at level 46, close to 47

Thousand Needles: level 46
Everything was ez & pally continues to 2 shot everything. I did do the first elite grimtotem boss. He got me down to less than 1/2 hp. Decided to pass on the rest of them knowing they have a tendency to glitch, and may even hit harder. Better to be safe although it only took 2 days to get pally this high.
Badlands: Leve 48 (I think)
Got about 5 rares & 1 chest. Stopped after the Deathwing quest line. Dinged 50.
Tanaris: Level 50
Decided against doing the blimp quest. No need to risk it since I don't need the extra xp. Not sure about the troll ww boss. Couldn't kill him on past pally, but then again that one didn't have all the abilities this one has. I could always bubble/hearth if I get into trouble. last time I bubbled ran. Ok, omw to do "Discover the Fate of Jan'thraze". I can do this, I hope. Oh man, I did it. Heart is pounding. Cry cry, found a chest, but wouldn't let me loot, then it despawned. Then it re-appeared. Still wont let me loot. Talk about a tease. Tanaris is a very short zone since I don't do the blimp.
Felwood: Level 51
Came here via Moonglade. Searched for rares as I headed south to quest. I was able to get 6 rares before I even started questing. At the south end, I saw someone questing, so no likely to get any southern rares, but very happy with 6 of them. Got 2 more rares in the gave at the end, so I'm very happy.
Wintersprings: Lever 55
Got a new back, Thick Cloak, for 5 Armor. It's an increase of 2 armor for me. I was worried about the owl beast when they had to be fought 2 at a time because in wod, pally lost the ability to cc. But she can hit so hard now, they were ez. The last cave had me worried too. Before the only way to get through all the mobs was to follow someone else through. But it proved ez too. Was amazed I got to level 59 here. I also found quite a few rares when I first got here.
In Goro: Leve 59
In times past, I never did the "Bouquets of Death" quest because of fighting 6 mobs at a time even though they had low hp. I didn't do it on hunter because mainly it was too big a pain. If pet killed even 1, I wouldn't get credit for that group. But pally had no trouble. I do notice that mobs are starting to hit harder now. I still don't plan on doing that quest with the giant dino chasing you through the whole zone while it aggros ever mob here. And there's one at the end that can flag you pvp, so wont be doing that one either. My level is interesting. In wod, I had trouble to 60, but now I suspect I will be 60 before I even finish here. I seem to recall pre-wod, I would get to 60 in un'goro. Decided to attempt the giant bug, the Gorishi Fledgling Colossus. Found out accidentally that pally was not able to do that one when I had attempted to help someone. But I think I can now. OMG, that was scary. When the mob starts to cast his poison explosion, you're suppose to run hide behind something. Only thing is the mob followed me. I finally dropped agro & healed up. I thought I had to start the fight all over with the mob resetting. Only thing is, he didn't reset. He was there waiting for me with nearly no hp left. With how much hp I had lost, I think I was hit with his explosion while he was chasing me.
