RIP Xayalock. I was so sorry to hear about Corrin's Crossing. Yes, I'm one who hasn't tried a new iron in WoD. My druid and the priest I'm currently leveling were both 90 at the end of MoP, and I level scouts in parallel with both of them, so I haven't had much time to try a new one. I have a 31 mage, but I'm not too optimistic about her chances. Mages were hard before, and probably harder now. I think it's the same 'caster' issue I'm seeing on the priest and you're seeing on your locks - their dps output is just really low so fights are long, increasing the liklihood of adds, etc. My druid was definitely easier than the priest after the changes of the MoD expansion, in terms of killing things. Having the melee option for dealing with casters was a big help. I played the druid as a hybrid, casting roots/wrath/moonfire as long as I could before switching to kitty on melee mobs (to keep from taking damage). For casters, just dotted and then killed them as fast as possible in kitty.

Just looking at PTR patchnotes...
Arrrrgggghhhhhhhhh. I hope that doesnt go live, as if we didn't already have nonexistent damage lol... ok, so Corruption will get a 12% buff, but that doesn't really compensate for it!

Of course shadow bolt is getting nerfed... I started playing warlock thus they shall suffer the same fate warriors have.

So if my voidwalker hadn't popped his health increase cd earlier, he'd have died to a mob eight levels below me... jeez. Beginning to get kinda concerned that it might not be possible to reach 90+ any more if it's that bad already, yeah I can summon a new one but my mana is not infinite, and I'm still in Azeroth, not at the actually hard levels! Hoping to get to 62 or 63 before I have to go to Outland, will that be enough of a lvl gap? Not too sure... guess I'll find out soon!

So, I can't believe it took me this long to learn this one... applying bandages only breaks if you get hit, not your bandage target - in other words, I can bandage my voidwalker while he's tanking stuff and as long as I don't get hit myself, I can heal him up without having to summon a new pet! This could be very very useful in some situations (although I'll have to be careful I don't run out of bandages... )

I'd been bandaging him up after fights for ages, but had assumed they couldn't be used while he was being hit, seems it's fine so long as the person using the bandage isn't hit, doh - that's overturned about 10 years of incorrect assumptions on my part lol Already found it makes named mob fights far less annoying

My warlock only made it to lvl 24. While I do not think that is enough iron experience to judge the class I will give you my thoughts and you can take them or leave them.
Warlock patch 6.2.x
Starting off it was fun. It was easy to kill the required mobs so questing was not a challenge. At lvl 8 I got the void walker. The void made things even easier as he can hold threat extremely well.
At about lvl 18 i started noticing it was taking a long time to kill mobs. The Void Walker needed bandage or re-summoning often. Each level increase brought a dmg increase to shadow bolt of 1 damage. I don't think this scaled with the mobs at all.
By the time I was 24 I could not handle mobs lvl 20-21 without some measure of risk. Basically, I was questing and grinding on mobs lvl 18-19. This may be normal, but this was my first iron so I cannot say.
I have a feeling that my pet (Void) would have become more and more squishy as time went on. I also fear my damage would not scale equally with mobs.
When I look over the spells I get while leveling, they were mostly a mix of new pets. Most would not help in this challenge. Some were a one time get out of jail free cast and then they'd be gone. overall, most new skills were for some mechanic or utility, and not for dps. killrog's eye (i think it's called) for example did not help me much at all. I started a hunter recently and I can tell you one thing, the hunter goes through mobs like a lawn mower compared to a Warlock... but I feel this challenge would mean more to me if I was successful with a class less used. but if other classes are this much of a challenge compared to a hunter, maybe in WoD a hunter is the only viable option.

I got my Warlock without a minion up to 29 before dying due to my mistake, and currently at 20 without any gear as well.
I quest in even lower level zones than you, and need to be extra careful, but a strategy I found successful is to Fear a mob when it reaches me and then just [Shadow Bolt, Fear] until dead. Need to be cautious about adds but worked well.

from low 20, the void start to get quite squishy. At 27 you get soul harvest wich helps to heal your void, and at 28 you get shadow shield, which makes a big difference It starts getting harder again at the high 40 low 50. Since my highest warlock after WoD died at 52, I cannot say (yet) what happens after that

Yep, the abilities help, then it gets tougher again - I need to get back to mine, my last one died in Outland and it was a big struggle, warlock is a whole lot weaker than it used to be, I think. Back in Cata I was really strong, in MoP I lost half my abilities but was still strong enough to cope... now I just feel like I've got nothing to work with, my dmg barely tickles the mobs and my voidwalker dies constantly. Most fight tactics at highers lvls involve well-timed resummons of the voidwalker, which isn't really ideal!

Shadowshield sounds tasty. soul harvest would be great if it could be used in battle. It's still helpful to regenerate health quicker after a fight, so that's a plus.
