I noticed I am no longer able to update the notes for my characters in the player roster.
I wanted to use it to keep track of the number of deaths on my scout to see if I can identify any quests that result in a death (through the quests mechanics, not a real death), before doing the quest on my real characters.
I had previously labeled all my characters as 'naked' (and minionless or petless as the case may be), except my druid scout for some reason, but now I am unable to modify the notes field.
Has something been locked? Is there a reason why this has changed?

So, the control on player notes is very simple, either you can update your own plus everyone else's, or you can't at all. We had a touch of abuse about a month ago, started with the monster influx of new players. So had to set it so only guild officers could change.
I'm willing to set it back, and if no abuse, cool.... think a few of the less mature player's were getting a kick out of profanity... Figured if they want that, they could hang in Goldshire....

Ha Ha, hanging in Goldshire with Moonguard would be fitting. We did test this and if you can edit your own public notes so can anyone else. Personally thinks it's a glitch we should bug Bliz about fixing, you should be able to edit your own public notes but not others.
