I've always enjoyed soloing in WoW but I have never really seriously tackled the Ironman challenge until this weekend. One of my friends is doing a kind of personal "Bloodthirsty-lite" (professions/specs/green+ gear allowed) which got me searching online for challenges, hence finding this site and thinking, why not?
So here I am, with two new toons. I picked (EU) Chamber of Aspects, partly because I have no other toons on the server so I have no temptation to cheat and send money. And it seems to be one of the main servers where other irons go.
Ironjock is my Ironman challenger, a dwarf hunter (my favourite race/class combination). Short, hairy, stocky, likes beer. Just like me really. He has finished Dun Morogh and is partway through Loch Modan right now, and it's been plain sailing so far. He's made around 10 gold so far, mainly by selling linen in the AH. I figured the money would be more useful than bandages at this stage.
Then there's Amrenn, my Bloodthirsty challenger; another hunter but this time a human. I see him as a kind of safari hunter, like a cross between Hemet Nesingwary and Gaston from Disney's "Beauty and the Beast". Or maybe he's just a common psychopathic killer. he zipped through Elwynn Forest and by level 8 I was starting to think it was too easy so he headed over to Westfall. There was one scary moment when he decided to take on a Greater Goretusk, 5 levels above himself, and almost didn't make it.
Also on first arrival in Goldshire, I happened to bump into a Blingtron outside the inn. I stood and looked at it for a few moments. Was it worth burning through one of my allowed quests? Was it even allowed or would it red-flag me?

40 gold. Oh YES, that was worth it.
Also I have wasted far too much time hanging round the back of Crystal Lake, waiting for Lamepaw the Whimperer to spawn. And it still hasn't. *sigh*
