Hey, just got this message after updating my character after finally finishing the Death Knight starting zone. I'm positive I haven't broken any of the rules and I've spent the last several days trying to achieve this. Please Help =/ (My Character's name is "Fourthnight")

Your total kills look fine for Level 58 but your Kills granting XP / Honor are a little low. Can you describe your leveling method? Were you out of the starting zone at 58? brittleiron Do 773 kills & 126 XP/Honor kills sound okay?

Yes that is quite possible... my lvl 61 Deathknight only has 792 and 285 granting exp or honor (large amount of those after leaving the starting area). The total number of kills needed to leave the starting area is far lower than you might expect.

*EDIT* After I saw brittleiron's reply I was like "How has he made it to 61 without having the same problem I have?" And then I looked at the Support Forums and saw that in March Brittleiron posted literally an identical thread to what I posted here, that he had been flagged for exactly the same thing I'd guess.
Yeah, I got to 58 by the time I left the zone.
I started off with a pretty set strategy (this is my 5th attempt at the DK Iron Man Challenge) I did the first few quests I could do: Killed the initiate, eye of acherus thing, got help from NPCs to kill the Scarlett Crusaders and then stole a horse and what not, but after that I knew I was by far to weak to win 5 Duels against the Death Knights or Kill a Horseman. So, because of this I went in to the mines and just grinded on the miners for probably almost 3 hours to gear up (my drops weren't super good as you can imagine) After I was finally able to afford all the white armor from acherus and I found a weapon that wasn't a pitchfork, I moved on the just trying to grind Scarlet Crusaders until level 56, though I still ended up needing the geists and NPC death knights for a decent amount of kills. After finally hitting 56, I had to go to bed for working in the morning, but when I came back I had quite a decent chunk of rested XP to get me through the zone. Now that I had hit level 56 I had Death Strike and was capable enough to very closely win the Duels with the 5 Death Knights and after like 10 tries I was able to kill a Horseman. Having completed these quests, I was able to continue on without much trouble doing the zone until the Valroth fight, which I was barely able to beat.
The only thing I can think of that my number would be weird is 1- I killed a wholeeeeeeeeeee lot of Miners and they only yield like 25 XP (Not sure if you mean I have a low amount of XP to Kills or if I have killed a lot of enemies that don't yield XP)
or
2- I had to kill quite a lot of enemies in 2 different quests that didn't yield XP. There was the quest where you sneak onto the Crusader boat and shoot their canons at them and kill 150 of them. And there was also the quest where the Lich King has you flying on a Frost Wyvern or something and makes you kill another 150 units with it's breath attack and kill 10 ballistas, which also I don't believe yield experience. I'm not sure if they count toward my kills or not, but I would think they would.
I spent a lot of time on the Frost Wyvern quest because I didn't realize that the Ballistas were further back in the zone, and I probably ended up killed a decent amount more then 150 scarlet soldiers while riding the thing before I found the ballistas.

Can someone check my math? See if I'm doing it right?
okay... I went in and ran through the Level 55 quests... I did not do Death's Challenge (the 5 initiates one) or the Into the Shadow Realm one.
To reach Level 56 you need 148,200 XP. All the quests completed accounted for 119,290 XP. The 10 Infantrymen will count for 640XP each at Mob Level 55 (also account for full rest xp) for 6,400 XP. The 10 Citizens will count for 24XP (typically this is 12XP or less as they are at 10% health, considering a level 46 mob + rest XP) for 240 XP.
In total you should have 125,930 XP after turning in all quests and killing the required mobs. You WILL have at least 10 Kills granting XP due to the Infantrymen. We are not counting the Citizens towards the Kill count because typically you'll have greys that don't grant any XP. How can we count their XP then? We are looking at maximums and minimums here. Those Citizens are considered freebies.
This leaves the remaining 22,270 XP to be grinded out on mobs. Since you can potentially go after only Captains at Level 55 those count as 640 XP (considering full XP).
You will need 35 extra kills granting XP/Honor to get from Level 55 to 56.
So in total you'd have at minimum 45 (10 from quest + 35 from grinding) kills granting XP / Honor once you're at Level 56.

That looks correct to me. I think it would be fair to say that without the influence of other players, it would be pretty much impossible to complete Death's Challenge or the Horseman Challenge one before level 56 even with full gear from the vendor.
I don't believe I was able to kill any Infantrymen alone at level 55 without a geist or so, but I would typically get closer to 240XP, but it seemed to change based on how much health they had when I tagged them with Frost Fever. I would often find myself sprinting towards Infantrymen that had already been jumped by Geists just to make sure I got a tag so I could get a chance at a weapon drop, but the XP I would receive from that without rest would typically be 200-270, I don't remember what I would get from the Captains as far as XP but it was always a similar scenario when I killed them pre-56.
There is also the quest that is from the Mailbox that yields like 800xp, you probably didn't miss that, but just trying to throw out whatever.
Not sure if it matters, but I guess it is technically possible to kill one of the shades that are in the Shadow Realm before level 56 (though I highly doubt it). I never killed one myself but they could possibly yield higher XP than a Captain would which could skew the number a bit. That is if it's even possible or if it even actually gives more XP than a captain.
But yes, You would need an absolute minimum of 45 Kills assuming your values for the quest XP are correct and the shades are not killable/more valuable.
Not sure if any of this is actually useful, but hey. Also, thank you for changing my flag back. I was stressing all day about it.

There are lvl 44 crusader mobs so technically you could complete those initial quests with zero kills granting exp.... I did this intentionally during my own testing.
As for the other kill numbers I know I had less than 76 kills when I hit 56... I don't remember the exact number (maybe 45?) but a week of rested exp and only kiting the higher level mobs onto the guards got 56 rather easily.
You can be at least 85% into the level by the time you need to grind that last little bit for 56... mostly like more as the quest to kill 10 crusaders and 10 townsfolks requires killing 10 mobs that range from 44 (no exp) 45-46 (low exp) or 53-55 (full exp but only can be killed by kiting them onto the guards). I just tested this in-game and got to exactly 85% with zero kills that granted exp (all lvl 44 crusaders).
- Experience at lvl 55.85 with ZERO exp granting kills is 124,995 of 148,200 required
- Lvl 53 mob exp is 269, lvl 54 mob exp is 294 and lvl 55 mob exp is 320
- Thus even with zero kills that grant exp by time you need to grind it will take at most 87 kills unrested (44 rested) on lvl 53 mobs and even less (72/37) if you could somehow kill only lvl 55 mobs. Granted this does require the riskier kiting of mobs onto the guards.
- The miners and peasants range from 44 (no exp) to 45 (22 exp) to 46 (27 exp) which would require between 860-1055 kills (430-528 rested)... this is why I kite the mobs onto the guards. Much faster exp and better trash drops (better weapons and higher gold value green items to sell)
