I was thinking this morning about if this challenge gets easier after this patch, that it's not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion. There are a couple reasons I feel this way, but the one I wanted to mention is when this challenge first started, most of the classes were much easier to play than they are now. So in some ways, these changes may just take us back to how the challenge was originally. A few examples: Priest - I played this in MoP and remember telling people online that I felt the priest may be as easy as the hunter. Mage - Leveling this in Cata was fine for an iron. I got to Outlands without much trouble before dying a stupid death, and I'm almost positive someone made it to max on a mage. Warlcok - didn't play, but Stevo got his to 85 relatively early on in the challenge. Pally - again didn't play, but more than one person leveled them to max. No one took any of these four classes from a low level to any real high levels throughout WoD. So my point is, if this change ends up making more toons playable, and easier to play, in my opinion it doesn't "ruin" the challenge, but may in fact bring the challenge back to where it was when it first started. I guess in a few hours we'll see

I am of the same opinion. It might make things easier on the starting front without a doubt, but I think it opens up new possibilities and might bring more people, too. Like now, we have a monk, or a hunter, or a warrior. But we will have a healer monk, a tank monk, a melee hunter etc., bringing about new was of leveling (or falling to death traps).
It might take time to accept, but I don't think it's a through and through bad change. We shall see!

Something i said for about 3 weeks now, not to the word but very close, wasnt well recieved by a few, i hope you get more joy with your opinion, by the looks of it you are, either that or people are less likely to jump down your throat. This challenge is about to be more accesible to everyone, thats a good thing. Lets embrace it and not start trying to battle and make it less accesible, ie no dailys, no hunter pets, no night elves, no monks blah blah blah blah

Ferr said she was killing things VERY easily in HP on a hunter at level 60. She got a crit and one shotted something even. Hmmmm. That really is a big change.

Think I'll try my dead iron pally that died in Outlands at 67, almost unplayable. We'll see what it goes like.

From a Warrior Perspective i find things a lot better, but i still need to be careful, there is a feeling of randomness moreso than before as to how hits are made from any of the new items be it cleve or slam ... I am able to travel and kill closer to my level than before... currently at lvl 40 i was able to kill 4 levels below me without issues, that said it still needed a 5 second rest with food and then a victory rush on the next attack to feel like i was ok to fight... I did however have a good scare and that forced me off the computer and sitting here in my bed writing this post... While fighting in Hinterlands against a lvl 32 wolf i was Disconnected ... while i started to see some of the signs of disconnection early in the fight i put in a few extra commands before if finally froze up. When i returned to the game , i found myself back by the bridge in WPL that i had been at about 10 minutes earlier testing bears in the area . This really scared me, i checked my deaths and nothing, i looked at my experience and it looked like i was fine there meaning it showed me killing things in hinterlands...
as i write this i wonder about all the stats we have and if any are being changed , and what goes on with the servers to cause this, in either case im going to bed and will wait a little

What I think is that we'll see more people reaching 30-40's (or even Outland) now as the start will be easier than a barebones warrior with two skills and a charge, or priest with a smitesmitesmitesmitesmite gameplay. It will still be challenging, just with more variety and boring people (or making it too hard to bare for some) a bit later than before this patch.

Between faster killing with a spec (on my mage MUCH easier than before) and the experience from quests now being basically doubled (at the lower levels at least) the challenge isn't back where it stood during Cata.... it is MUCH easier sadly. The highest levels seem like they will still be a challenge maybe but the rest is a joke right now.

Sigh, after having played a bit, I have to agree with brittle. It seems more like leveling a normal than an iron.

The problems is not the lower levels, is the post 85 levels. So if anyone kills something fast in lower levels means nothing. I think the biggest problem will be the 100-110 levels, because right now people use to stay until like 97 on Panda dailies, the new content scales with players. I'd love to see how this will work with all that mandatory spec, I think it will very hard...

I got on my level 48 mage and was questing in EP (lvl. 40 - 45). Everything is green and I almost died twice in the back section with the castles you go into. Definitely much easier, but by no means over powerful.
Finishing the challenge all the way to 110 will still be very difficult, even if the lower levels are much easier.

Whereas on the other hand i pulled 4 mobs at level on my 69 paladin and burst them all down , OP shields, 3 buffs an op heal and now 4 damaging spells, two of which are AoE, Paladin new OP class in Ironman

I used only te spells I had pre-Xpac (I took screenshots of all my IMCs Monday), was killed quickly. Flash heal heals 703 of 1716 HP, has casting time with setback, just like Word of Glory which now requires talent points to get. I have to learn to use the new spells to survive.
