Form experience the early level deaths are more often on the Horde side (I am looking on all the Centraur mobs now, that killed handful of my guys). So good luck! Horde can be tough sometimes. Just careful if you level in Ghostlands. There two elites that kill things. All things. Hope included.

My first Iron was a Horde Pandaren warrior. Got all the way to level 16. :') I would not recommend visiting Ghostlands at all tbh. The quests are boring and long and death is far too easy. Rather take the undead route. I did a breakdown of the route that proved to work best for me as a horde here though I'm a hunter so it might not all apply.

Grab a shield, go Protection, pull 5 mobs, kill, repeat. I challenge you to try and get below 50% health.

my main spec is going to be fury, but if i get into a tough zone i'm definitely going prot :') Enrage Requires Warrior (Fury) Requires level 10 Bloodthirst critical strikes will Enrage you, increasing your attack speed by 100% and damage you take by 30% for 4 sec. A passive ability that INCREASES the damage you take sounds harsh.

alright, replies taken care of, now to start the juicy stuff.
(this will be the longest post in the thread, i apologize! i hate to drag on but...eh...i just like to talk. the posts from here on out won't be as long, and i'll try to include the juiciest things.)
i'm off panda island! it was the worst 3 hours of my life, and i never want to return. i'll recap what happened in a sort of list, and my thoughts throughout the post. don't want to describe me fighting a crane for 2 paragraphs ;^) (i recorded my notes of what happened very quickly and basically did every single bullet point within 5 seconds, hehe.)
-levels 1-3 were horrible. i almost cried due to how slow i was killing things, and i almost just logged off because of how boring it was. it was awful.
-i got charge at level 3, which made things interesting. it didn't increase damage, of course, but i got an extra 20 rage to spill.
-li fei (is that his name? the panda with the ridiculous fighting spell names) was a challenge. i was nowhere near dying, but by god it took me the longest time to down his smug ass. it was about a 2 minute fight, and i was groaning the entire time. but i wouldn't give up to boredom. not yet.
- after the li fei fight, i started to get terrible connection. not enough to die, but just enough that my attacks were delayed to the point of "am i even hitting?" but the good news was, after the li fei fight, i got mortal strike. it was my hardest hitting ability, and i was pretty happy. things sped up after that.
-i was in the cursed pools when i called it quits for the night due to such a bad connection. it was about 3 in the morning, and the router seems to go haywire at night. oh well! more rested xp for me. i wasn't in any danger whatsoever since all the mobs within a mile radius were yellow.
-logged back in this morning on her, ready to start the day.-
-newly equipped with mortal strike, i started getting a bit cocky. i took on three of those weird little bugs by the cursed pools. i was at 75% health when i decided to just book it. they were beating on me too hard and too quick, so i couldn't take it at that level. i ended up with 45% health and the quavering palm on cooldown. so i sat down on the bridge and took a breather for about a minute, contemplating my reckless choices.
-then i head down near the lake to fight the huge sea dragon, fei she. always wished she was tamable, from a hunter player. it wasn't that dramatic or anything, but it was pretty tough. she brought me down to about half health, but it didn't matter because she was dead. i nabbed the pearl and swam away for my poor panda life.
-then, i get to the fight of my life. raggis. the rabbit bastard who sits in front of a cottage and hisses at pedestrians, trying to steal their food and burn their crops. on my very first pandaren character, a monk, in 2012, i had died to this greasy motherfucker. so from thereon out, i was terrified of him. and i'm a fairly competent monk, and he just absolutely slaughtered me. i charged right in, ready to snap his big fat neck. and it was good fight, too. i wasn't bored that time! but, to make up for the fun i had spamming 1 and 2, it was a messy fight. i had just woken up, so my coordination was a bit off and i felt very groggy. i did some things wrong and didn't really look at his burrow attacks, but i was pretty much ok. i ended the fight with 25% health left, and i finally woke up after that frightfest.
- i'm on my way down to the lake area, where aysa meditates on the pole connected to a long line of ropes. a monkey attacks me and i didn't even notice for 5 seconds, shame on me! it brought me down to 60% health in about 8 seconds, but i had ran away from the fight. i was a bit spooked about a monkey doing that to me.
-i finally reach level 8 after kicking some monkey ass and stealing their banners, and then i get execute. at low levels, execute is not given many opportunities to... well... execute. since you do a lot of chunk-taking damage, not continuous and steady. wasn't a big deal, but it was something. i also had 50 quests completed, but to me, it felt a looot longer.
-then i get to the dreaded chain of quests with ji. the horde panda. i don't really know. where you have to fight a shit ton of monkeys and steal their fireworks, as well as killing the monkey overlord. oh jeez. it was certainly something. the ji buff helped me Not Die Instantly™ but don't pull 10 monkeys like i did. don't do it. i had to run off because ji couldn't keep their aggro for very long. i was fine, but very much shaken up again. i've had the most close calls on this iron than any other character, and that scared me. i needed to be more careful. unfortunately, careful is not a factor in my playstyle, and i should probably get it fixed.
-then we get to the windy cave, where daefeng (?) rests inside, scared of the cool dragon outside. uh. this was my dumbest moment on the character. my brain decided to not register that the wind was dangerous, and i barreled right in. then i kept seeing my health go down and down, and i FREAKED out. what was hitting me??? what was hitting me??? oh god not like this!!! turns out, it was just some wind. i backed out at the last second, literally backing out, forgetting that i could turn and go forward for speed. i ended up with 50 hp left. god, i was REALLY reckless, wasn't i?
-the zhao ren fight was uneventful and boring. except for the fact the game decided to bug out on me and i couldn't attack him with anything besides autohit. jesus christ. another very bad 2 minutes of my life that i'd prefer not to relive, because oh boy it was awful. nearly died.... again... but luckilly ji heals you back to full health if you reach a certain percentage.
-every iron's worst nightmare. that's right. the forest of staves, with all its pesky elves that duplicate itself into 3 and beat your ass into a patrol of their friends. i fought one, and then another one right after, which brought me to 70% health. so i thought, hey, maybe it's not as bad? i could take on two! yeah! .... uh no. nearly died. at 50% health. fought two at once, just couldn't handle the clones and the nasty little imps themselves.
-my original plan was to attack a patting elf and then the side elves, but i couldn't handle it with them sooo tightly packed together. but i was in luck, as most of the patting going on was on the lower level of the forest, so i hung out on the high grounds, picking them off one by one and stealing their lucky charms.
- and then. and then. and then a miracle happens. i reach level 10. i'm SO STOKED to choose my spec. at this point, i had decided fury, since i was the most comfortable in it, and very familliar with the rotation. BUT, i haven't touched a warrior since the prepatch, so fury may have changed a bit.
-yes it did change a bit, but did it matter? nope! i was killing things left and right, and just healing myself like no man's business. i could take on 5 mobs and be sitting just past the 50% health mark at the end, and kill 5 quicker than i could kill two before i was fury. man, i was having the time of my life. i was so powered, i started killing the lizard dudes just for FUN, compared to pre-fury gameplay - being too scared to take on one that's essential. i admit, it was cocky, but i knew when to stop, drop, and roll away. (this would be a great pun if i was a monk.)
-now, to my first boss fight as a fury warrior. vordraka. EZ PZ. wrecked him in under a minute, and didn't break a single sweat. he dropped an AMAZING gray-quality 2h mace that is now snuggled up in my main hand, with an even stronger sword in offhand. i'm still a bit confused on which weapon should be the more powerful with duel wielding for fury warriors, but so far, i'm sticking with offhand is stronger. due to my main attack depending on my offhand weapon.
-vordraka brought me to a nice and inspiring level 12. that unlocked me my main survival skill ; enraged regeneration. i was STOKED yet again! what this ability does is reduce any damage taken by 30%, and makes bloodthirst restore an addition 20% OF MY HEALTH. UP FROM 4% PER BLOODTHIRST. it is usable while stunned, lasts for 8 seconds, and has a 2 minute cooldown. i felt on top of the world!
-like a daredevil fool, i decide to aggro 8 lizardmen who are attacking the healers, aiding shen-zin mcturtleface to renew himself. they aren't touching shen-zin's personal doctors, not on my watch! guess what happens next? i wreck them. i wreck every single lizard, with the help of enraged regeneration of course. i leave the fight with 60% health, smiling.
-after that, i turn in the quest, and get a HUGE lagspike. i was in the middle of fighting a stray lizard, and it FREAKED me out. it was about a 5 second spike. oh god, i'm not gonna DC, not now! luckilly, after the 5 seconds, i was perfectly fine. i'd lost about 15% of my health and i could just bloodthirst some of it back up in no time.
-satisfied and bloodstained, i finish my work at the skyseeker's wreck. i hop on the cart to ride to the temple, and set up my battle plan in my notes. i'll directly copy them here: ***go to the barrens and quest there until 15, then head to silverpine and milk it dry, and maybe head back to the barrens if the xp is worth anything i wanted to go to azshara but the barrens feels quicker, and azshara had a few dangerous spots i didn't like there, despite knowing azshara like the back of my hand. it's one of my fav zones, but just feels a bit unsafe. i heard theres'a very dangerous quest in silverpine about fighting a general, and i did it on my undead. i remember it was pretty tough if he attacked you. i may go up until that quest, then head back to the barrens and finish it up. if i find myself in a bad spot where i'm stuck to go to a zone = to or above me, i'll just rest myself for a few days and come back.***
-finally. i'm ready to choose my faction. alliance? no. horde? yes. i skip that damn cutscene, walk up to garrosh, and spit in his face. he didn't need to tell ME to stay loyal. filthy alliance, i say as i cradle my other 5 alliance ironmen. now, i'm ready to get my essential first aid kit, and slaughter everything in my path as the world's worst fury ironman warrior.
-- did i make it interesting? at all? uh, i'm not a good storyteller, lmao.
some thoughts!
-i don't like enrage's strength sacrifice. i don't like that it makes you take 30% more damage, and it could just make a quick burst shot on me HURT. i do, however, like the 100% increased attack speed buff. i'll just have to be very careful with what times i bloodthirst. -i'm excited for rampage. it seems to hit HARD, and in under 2 seconds. -i don't like the pandaren starting zone. not one bit. it's awful, but it's very pretty and i like the lore behind it. the questing is just dreadful. -i love the undead default zone chain, so i'll probably head down that path, switching back to kalimdor if neccessary. -i love fury warriors!!! they're super fun, and especially fun as an ironman. they're also really good at surviving, and can tackle multiple mobs. they may be a bit squishier than prot, and shield slam probably oneshots things, but i really enjoy fury and i don't feel like switching unless absolutely necessary!
my next post will probably be in a few days, but i'm kinda bad at schedules and stuff.
i took a pic of my panda at level 10 but it just took a picture of my background programs. weird.

Take GOOD care when using flight paths in neutral cities! Clicking the wrong faction's flight master = insta-death!

I actually managed to finish all but the elite quests in Ghostlands on my iron monk (pre-patch), but oh boy was I up on my toes all the time. The two undead elites that roam around the entire area were keeping me alert all the time, and a lot of mobs just simply gank there. Didn't try it post-patch but it was a tough zone. A nice change from Barrens which I started to hate, but really dangerous if your attention drops a little and you backpaddle into death. There are plenty of elites that are the death of an Iron, there, still.
And I agree on the neutral cities thing. Also, if you head to Stranglethorn and the Safari quests, make sure not to click on the neutral guards that were put in there. They are easily attackable, and are max level.
Good luck! I like pandas but I get teary whenever I see the Alliance ship in the turtle's side, lol.

The Stranglethorn guards ALWAYS make me nervous, iron or not. I never use any spell and I manually click everything to make sure I don't accidentally taunt, AOE, etc. At least they aren't hostile... x.x Thank you, and GL to you!

Gosh I just created a warrior and I totally feel you on the first levels. Took me longer to get to 6 than solo an old raid. Had to take a break at lvl3 lol.

well, this kinda died whilst I was gone. I got back into overwatch but today, my session just tuckered me out (nobody can shoot tracer except when i'm tracer, then everybody has auto aim :'I)
i'll probably try to resume by this week, but i'll definitely be back by legion at the very very latest.
