We're coming up on the first week of the Panda Shaman contest, and the participation has been great. Still plenty of time to join the contest and give it a shot. As you can see from the roster, players have climbed the ladder, died, re-rolled, back in the game. Remember, the last couple of contests came down to the wire, with the ultimate winner decided on the last day.
If you tried and died, what killed you? For some players getting out of the Panda starting zone with the wind tunnel was fatal. Other toons lost to a bad pull and was mobbed. Are you a Leroy Jenkins player, zooming thru zones as fast as possible? Or a slow-n-steady cautious player?
But the larger question, what killed your Panda Contest toon?

I myself died at 66 in Tek Forest, just trying to do the Veil quest to kill 2 birds and 8 dudes. Pulled 1 and had 4 on me. Poor panda shaman can't heal fast enough. It was my fault, knew the area is packed, should have skipped.
All in all, a good contest to get me out of my comfort zone, would never have picked a panda shaman, and surprised I lasted to 66.
Good luck to the remaining challengers, it has been fun watching the top 10 placeholders change daily!

I decided to start another (thought my internet would be down but it isn't) and I like my little bouncy panda shaman (vs a big lunky Tauren)..I wouldn't have tried one other than the contest, now I will keep her..

Just died last night to an elite at 60. I didn't leave mtself an escape path, and completely forgot about my wolves, dmg reduction, and heroism... On the up side, I was one hit away from killing the guy, so...

Died at level 44 today doing the quest Seaside Salvage in Tanaris. I was trying to push my Shaman to at least make the top 5 so I made the mistake of going to Tanaris way too early. The pirates that spawn when you pick up the supplies hit REALLY hard. I kinda panicked as it was happening so of course I didn't think to use Spiritwalker's Grace to run and heal (Riptide sucks!). Also Quaking Palm failed me and I forgot about Earthbind Totem. Oh well! Shaman is pretty rough compared to other classes, but I'm glad this pushed me to try it out.
