Dear Iron Journal,
What a day I've had! I don't remember everything that happened prior, though I woke up, and found myself in a strange land I'd never seen before. Aside from a pretty nasty bump on the head, I'm just fine. I realized how fortunate I am to fare as well as I did when I wandered down the hill, and found other draenei survivors being nursed back to health. I asked what had happened, and would you believe it, the Exodar crashed! I made myself available to help in any way possible, as I knew there must be more draenei out there in addition to myself. I helped to gather herbs and lasher roots as requested, and along the way, each time I discovered another draenei, I assisted them with my Gift of the Naaru, which seemed to be enough to get them back on their feet and on their way to the shelter. I was taken aside after helping to gather some spare parts to get our Emitter back up and running, and told to venture south and check on a scout. Wouldn't you know it, he'd discovered an entire camp full of BLOOD ELVES. As it turns out, they sabotaged the Exodar, causing us to crash, and if they hadn't caused us enough trouble already, NOW they're spying on us in this new, unfamiliar land. Needless to say, I did my part to eradicate the problem.
Upon my return, I was sent onward to Azure Watch to deliver some supplies. Though unfamiliar, I've found this new land to be strangely beautiful. The wild grasses and winding road reminded me a bit of portions of Terokkar Forest, though I'm not sure if I'll ever see the beauty of Terrokar again. Perhaps one day, journal. When I arrived at Azure Watch, the air was filled with the constant din of conversation and construction. I'm not sure how long ago we crashed, but the progress made in Azure Watch was remarkable! While here, I helped out wherever I was asked, whether it was collecting more herbs, or finding meat for food, or helping to quell the threat of diseased wild cats that were encroaching on the small settlement. Eventually I was sent south to a camp along the shore, where I met up with a couple of humans, a couple dwarves, and a night elf woman who kept calling me an Eredar. After helping them, I think the night elf warmed up to me a bit.
At one point, they had sent me over to a small island called Silvermyst Isle, where I was to dress as a tree to uncover a traitor. Much to my surprise, the disguise actually worked, and the gnome and goblin had no idea I was even there. It turns out, the gnome we had thought was a friend, was actually in cahoots with a blood elf named Kael'thas Sunstrider! The fact that he was a blood elf was reason enough for me to kill the gnome for helping him. I suppose since I'm a paladin, I can refer to it as swift retribution. Whilst on the Isle, I ventured along the shoreline until I found a night elf man sobbing on a small dock. I asked him what was the matter, as it was easy to see that he had been distraught for some time. Heartbreakingly, I discovered that the crash of the Exodar sent a crystal right through the poor man's home, and the corrupted wildkin in the area had killed his family. I did my best to help out, though I felt partially to blame, even if it wasn't directly my fault. When I was on the north side of the Island, I happened upon a young night elf female - his surviving daughter! She had gotten separated in all the chaos, and had been afraid to venture through the wildkin-infested thicket to look for her family. I assured her it would be alright, and I helped her through. When she and her father saw one another for the first time on the dock, it was one of the most beautiful sights to behold. Distress and sadness on the man's face was replaced by pure happiness and joy to have been reunited with his daughter. Both seemed to be at peace, and feeling they would be alright, I left them so they could spend some time catching up.
As I swam back to Azuremyst, I realized just how exhausted I had become. So, when I reached shore, I walked back up the road to Azure Watch, where I settled in at the inn. It is at the inn where I write this, and where I am about to get some much needed rest. I can't wait to see what tomorrow may hold!
