Leveling an ironman in BfA is possible but it requires a lot of patience (even more than normal) and concentration.
The road from 110 to 120
- I stayed in Legion content until 114.5 (highly recommended because there is not enough doable content in BfA to give you 10 levels). The experience is badly nerfed after 111 but the content is safer than BfA
Legion
- First couple of levels doing mostly Legion questing
- Invasions are slightly more dangerous but well-worth the risk
- Withered training instance has re-spawning chests that give exp every time when looted (every three days)
- TIP: there are approx 20 quests in the middle of Suramar quest line that give full experience up to level 113(probably bugged). Highly recommended to be done at 113 when all other Legion content exp is nerfed.
- PvZ daily - boring and dull but a very steady source of experience
BfA
- Plenty of non-combat quests (especially in Tiragarde Sound)
- All treasure chests give experience the first time they are looted (subsequent Small Treasure Chest spawns will not give experience)
- Use the helpers that come with quests wisely - they can be either a blessing or a curse (Nickel the dog is an actual hunter pet that can taunt and tank mobs - although it dies fast , Lord Kennings has the dps of a wet noodle but cannot die)
- There are some relatively weaker mobs that I grinded for exp (mostly neutral crab mobs)
- Exploration was a good exp source (relatively safe in Tiragarde Sound and Stormsong Valley, more dangerous in Drustvar). Zandalar was also accessible to explore by boat ride but it turned out I did not need it.
- Towards the end, Brewfest and its 3 dailies was a big help to speed the leveling
Total played time was 30 days and 10 hours from which 5-6 days for leveling from 110 to 120.
