Ok i know right before you spec into something you have to choose a specialization. And you can't have that... If your doing the ironman challenge so does that also mean we can't have the Armor Specialization we get to train at level 50? I'm wondering before i do it. So i don't mess up my chances of compete'ing cause if i die "I Gave It My Best" Cuz im not doing it again! Anyway this is what i mean. No specialization, talent points, or glyphs. No pet talent points. - In addition to talent points and glyphs, specialization is checked. For example, if a mage chooses "Frost" but does not spend any talent points, the character will be flagged. For hunters, pet talents are also checked. doesn't say anything about Armor spec's.

You are correct. No armor specialization. Impossible to obtain with no spec.

Actually that depends on class, pure dps classes do get benefits from learning armour specialisation, since they'll always want the same main stat - so far as I know, there's nothing wrong with learning that, certainly I've done it and got 5% extra intellect on my warlock. Hybrid clases don't gain any benefit, since their armour speciliation gives then 5% of their main stat defined by their spec, so with no spec the game doesn't know what stat they want.

Yup, above post stated it better than I did. For warriors as an example, we only get the Specialization if we spec into Prot, Fury, or Arms, and it gives us a "primary stat" boost based on that spec. So impossible for a warrior to benefit.
