I paid my niece $20 to keep me logged in while I played tennis this afternoon - server queue was 1450 at 8.30am, and I'm not even on the big Oceanic Frostmourne server - the queue there was 7000. I'm not really in a rush - only 93 atm.
And joy of joys! we now have local Aussie servers after 10 years of begging. I've never played with less than 170ms latency before, none of us have. Frostmourne is going to be brutal in endgame raiding now, even I've noticed getting out of the fire is incredibly easy!

I opened my garrison on my main (Shadow Council). So far it's been quite easy with upgraded timeless isle gear. Up to there, it is a single quest chain, not much choice of what to do. I am not sure if one could hearth before opening the garrison and come back on Draenor, however when the garrison is built you get a new hearthstone to get back to your garrison, while you keep your original hearthstone to get back to wherever it was set.

Having fun on my main, when my server actually functions (most the time has been lagfest or massive queue), will be a while till I try on ironman, think I'll stick to Pandaria there! Btw word of warning to high lvl ironmen, if you use the farm, at least on beta, the mob spawns continued to increase with your lvl even past lvl 90. And the Occupied Soil with a virmen in it is a LOT less visible than it used to be, so be careful out there

Haven't been able to get on yet with 5k-6k queues every time I try. The one time I managed to get past that I got the realm screen with a popup for a 90 boost. Since I didn't pay for it I hit cancel and got dumped from the server, back to a 5k queue. At this rate my card will run out before I can try it. Sent in a support case saying I simply won't pay for what I can't play.....

My main (Blood DK) is a bar away from 96. Loving it, and garrisons are a lot more fun that I thought they'd be.
Any irons test the waters yet?

I have a non-iron druid who is 91 and doing garrison & profession type things. Two of my iron 90s (druid and priest) are working on leveling to 91. There is little change in what they can do in Pandaria between levels 89 and 90. The mobs still hit too hard and their heals and dps are weaker than they were before Patch 6.0.
Based on the experience on my normal druid, I don't see the WoD area as being viable for irons for quite awhile. From what i can tell, a mob needs to be 5-7 levels lower than the iron in the current patch. Cata mobs are one or two shots. Pandarian mobs are a whole other story. And with Pandaria, the entry quest that gets you into the zone doesn't do any damage AND you're free to not accept the next quests in the chain. You're free to explore, find non-violent quests, etc. I haven't figured out if that is at all possible in WoD. I'll probably take another normal alt through the portal to see just what options there are.
The irons are mainly looking forward to 91 - and seeing whether Pandaria becomes more doable then.

Like Fer, just testing the waters. Doing the 3 main dailies will get you a bubble. If you do the Tol Barad and Mt. Hyjal dailies you can get another bubble. Went to MoP to pick up the starting quests since I have not done any of them... the first quest, to kill 6 grunts and 4 grease monkeys was very hard. Each fight would easily take me down to 1/3 health where I had to stop and food up. If a pat came along, only SM could save me. Based on that, looks like its best to wait on MoP until 91, which with 2-4 hour queue wait times and 2 bubbles/day will take a long time.
A big shout out to Blizzard for totally screwing up the roll-out of MoD. Please consider taking away all bonuses and stock options from the board of directors at Activision-Blizzard - they have not earned it. And to the managers at Blizzard: May the fleas of a thousand Hellbores infest your armpits...

finally managed to log on Wyrmrest Accord Did a few tests with my lvl 90 scout hunter: - Twilight Highlands : mobs are dead in 2 shots for 6 xp (with rested bonus), quests give 500 to 1k xp. Not really worth it
- Tol Barad : again, mobs dead in 2 shots, but for 22 xp, dailes give 4250 xp each, so like Ster said one bubble a day (with the firelands dailies)
- Jade Forest : mobs at starting are hard to kill, give a whole 6 xp with rested bonus, and quests give 4300 xp. Probably doable on a hunter but hard, not sure about other classes
- lvl 90 MoP mobs : harder to kill than Jade Forest mobs, for 100 xp with rested bonus. Again probably doable on a hunter but hard, not sure about other classes
- Lvl 90 blasted lands mobs : as hard to kill as lvl 90 MoP mobs, and they hit harder, for 990 xp with rested bonus. Again probably doable on a hunter but hard, not sure about other classes
- Draenor : mobs as hard as lvl 90 Blasted lands mobs, for 990 xp with rested bonus. Named bosses are harder. My scout couldn't do 'Polishing the Iron Throne', and so was not able to get to the garrison
- There is a buff you get when you start the zone, which will get you back at full health when you receive a blow that would have killed you. I wasn't able to remove that buff, but it is completely non-iron
You can hearth to anywhere while in Draenor. You just have to get back thru the dark portal to get back to where you were in Draenor Getting to 91 will be hard. Once you get 91, MoP should be a lot easier to kill, so questing in MoP should give a few lvl to help get into Draenor

On beta, warlock was able to do mobs up to Vale of Eternal Blossoms, didn't try Timeless isle, since that was obviously a bad idea Might've been tuned since then though so I don't intend to start on Pandaria right away, or at least I'll experiemtn on caterpillars first! The buff vs lower lvl mobs does not apply to MoP content, so hitting 91 won't make any significant difference. Btw if anyone actually does make it through to Draenor, I'm seeing garrison missions which award character XP - I'd say those are a definite no-no? Plenty other missions you can do to advance followers anyway. Treasures everywhere which give exp when looted, but only a small amount, not huge like the Pandaria ones, so I'd say those are fair enough, maybe avoid using the ones that give you rested exp if you realise what they are, but no panic if you don't know till actually using them. Can't see anyone getting to Draenor anytime soon anyway, maybe a hunter might, I'm not risking it on my warlock!

got my main to 100 , given what i have seen in warlords there is alot of non iron stuff you cannot avoid not sure how you wold track things especially the buff you get ...all though there is a 3 min cooldown so you can die if careless.
Not sure if what i will do , to much stuff to do before raiding starts , may "iron my 90 hunter and go to draenor.
