Here are a few notes of my post 90 leveling so far. Instead of writing one long post I'll post a few posts I strongly suggest to use a scout for most areas At 90, the Tol Barad dailies, the firelands quests and dailies in Hyjal, and the lvl 85 troll quests in Stranglethorn are doable for more than 4k xp each. Mobs are easy to kill but don’t give much xp, even elites like Problim. Twilight Highlands quests only give 400 xp with full rested bonus so it is not really worth doing it unless you want the loremaster achievement Tol Barad-Firelands dailies drop with gaining level - At 90 : 4600 xp
- At 91 : 2600 xp
- At 92 : 1700 xp
At 91, there is not a big increase in damage with Pandarian mobs, you won’t be able to one-shot lvl 84-85 mobs like you do in Tol Barad and Firelands. Pandarian mobs give little xp, while quest give decent xp at 91. I suggest to wait until 91 for Pandaria Jade Forest - Starting quests have lots of near mobs with fast respawn, up to Pearlfin village
- The Fate of Ga’tral : heavy damage AOE (one-shotted my scout). If you look at the ground you’ll see where it is safe to go, that may mean to get close to the mob. The same is true for the horde equivalent (the guy in the cave after the airfield)

Level 90 dailies: For the following quests you will often have to kill lvl 90 mobs. You need lvl 90 I think to do them Half Hill farm quests - Kunzen hunter-chief : hits very hard, can knock you off the mountain
- There is a statue near Kuzen village that shoots ‘lasers’ with its eyes. They can one-shot an iron
- Kuzen village is packed with mobs. Quests to get produce or explode stuff are hard to do without aggroing many mobs
Golden Lotus (South west corner of the vale of Eternal Blossom) - Roll club 13k xp at 91 is easy[l/i]
[li]Mantid under fire, Bloodied skies 10k at 91, easy too - The battle ring : a new mob attacks you every 2 seconds, an iron cannot kill one before a second one joins in. You’ll end up with a pack of them. Avoid
- survival ring : blades : you get 2-3k hp of damage on each hit, my hunter had 16k at 91. Avoid unless you’re pretty good at this
- thunder below (very hard). You have to go trough many areas packed with lvl 90 mobs, and the dragon have many ways to one-shot you
August celestials (there is a daily in the shrine in the vale of Eternal Blossom of your faction that tells you where to go) - Temple of the jade serpent : not too many mobs, and lots of npcs that fight them. The bige lite sha will be stunned and become more vulnerable when you use the nearby bell
- Niuzao temple : packed lvl 90 mobs. Very hard
- Temple of the red crane : you have to be careful to get only one mob at a time, with lots of patrols
- Temple of the white tiger : the torch quest is risk free. The other dailies require to defeat various champions, sometimes more than one at a time, or an elite with a specific mechanic. Scout before attempting them on your iron
Shado-Pan (in Townlong Steppes): even with the helper, I haven’t been able to do them on a lvl 92 iron scout hunter. I discovered that you will get dismounted when flying over the feeding Pits in Sra’Vess Order of the serpent (near the arboretum in Jade Forest) - The quests that requires you to go into the caves are very hard. Packed mobs with fast respawn
- The Trainer's Challenge: Big Bao : he hits very hard. I haven’t been able to defeat him before dying
Timeless Isle : I was able to kill the elites cranes as a hunter at 92, but took some time. 9K xp for Path of the mistwalker, not the best ratio xp/minute. The first quests also give 9k xp, those that don't require to kill an elite as easy, if you can avoid said elites

Draenor Getting to Dreanor obviously requires you to kill lvl 90 mobs. They are harder than lvl 90 Pandaria mobs, and give 990 xp at lvl 90. You can try them in Blasted Lands at 90 without going thru the portal. Quests give about 20k xp At any time, you can hearthback to anywhere. You'll just have to go through the portal in Blasted Lands again to get back at the place where you left. Beyond the portal, you'll get Khadgar’s Watch. It's a buff that will get you back at full hp intead of being killed. It is automatic, you don't have enable or click. I think it's not very ironman like, and since I'm a little of a maniac, I managed to get to my garrison without using it once. That buff goes away once you take the boat If you can handle those lvl 90 mobs, you can start the chain to get to your garrison. The named mobs are a lot harder to kill. Here are the hardest - Lunatic Lieutenants : Rukah (the one behind the smitty) is really hard. Even at 93 I wasn't able to kill him on my hunter scout
- Polishing the Iron Throne : very hard to do without being bought ‘back in time’ by Khadgar’s Watch. I was able to do it at 93 without using the buff
- Taking a Trip to the Top of the Tank: the mob look impressive, but you have a helper. Just be careful to stay out of the bombing area

The named mobs are a lot harder to kill. ... Took a quick look for any comments about garrisons but didn't find any. I know you are almost forced into getting a garrison, so I'm not sure if you can avoid it, but I don't think they should be allowed. Certainly followers should not be allowed, although I believe certain quests award followers as a reward so should the quest be disallowed or just the use of a follower? They can go on missions that award the character risk free experience, and I've read they can accompany you into the world and fight by your side for unironlike assistance. Haven't actually tried that but wonder how much help my level 100 followers would provide my level 95 main. Thoughts?

So yeah, I just tried the Molten Front, that's... quite a contrast to before, I didn't dare to open up the area through the portal previously, now it's easy. Oh well, it won't give that much exp in the grand scheme of things, especially if the exp decays with levels, I'll get most from Pandaria it seems, and that will certainly remain a challenge

Yes, the Molten Front was a huge surprise to me as well. I discovered the changes in that opening quest for it when i was pushing a normal to 90 in the last few days before WoD hit and I was tired of Pandaria. After that I took the scout and iron through and was amazed. The exp drops off but it's nice to have those while it lasts. Tol Barad too. The only problem with Problem is finding him alive, lol. I might finally get my Tol Barad mounts.

Shadowmoon valley (in Draenor, not outlands ) If you get this far, you can probably kill almost any mob in Shadowmoon valley, except the named, the rare and the elites. Haven't tried the rares, and probably never will, since they give not that much xp and a blue drop, which is useless for an iron. I strongly recommend using a scout, as many areas have packed mobs with fast respawn time, and named mobs are a lot harder to kill. Bonus objectives are doable (there are 4 in SMV) and some don't require to kill a named one at the end. Many quests, usually involving Ner'zhul, have an elite mob to kill, and so are hard. You sometimes have a helper npc, sometimes not, and they usually have a special mechanic. That mechanic is not so important on a normal, but on an iron it will mean life or death. Some quest are scenarios - the fate of Karabor : you can be killed. Wait for the elite to engage the npc, then engage, and don't do much damage. You will 'die' at the end, but it doesn't count as a death
- Going undercover : not a scenario, but getting in that packed village while disguised with wolves being able to attack you is hard. I found it easier if you attack the wolves before they spot you. The wolves also detect stealth. After you plant the last bomb, getting to Yrel will be hard, you'll have to fight a few (or many) mobs
- Anguish fortress: again packed area with fast respawn
- Darkness falls: getting thru the cave involve a lot of fighting. After that you fight Ner'zhul until he spawns a void, which you must kill. Nerzul is hard to get down low enough to spawn the void
- the defense of Karabor : almost impossible on an iron. The first named mob is hard to kill on a normal and spawn adds in groups of 4

Gorgrond I was 95 when I entered, and almost 96 when I finished all doable quests in the zone. I sometimes had 2 or 3 lvl above the mobs, could be hard for some classes. Always be on the lookout for the roaming elites. They drop a quest, but are impossible to kill solo on an iron. You could participate in the fight with others and get the item, but it is not really in the ironman spirit - Chapter II : the harvest the mob is hard to kill (91k hp), and will spawn many groups of 4 smaller mobs. I had to wait till 96, and even then it was close
- Bonus objectives : most can be done, but most have a 'special' mob to kill, which have a lot more hp. Forgotten caves is very hard, many mobs, groups, and a poison that summon more mobs. Even if they are labeled 'hallucinatory' they can kill you. If your pet has the poison, those hallucinatory can hit you even if you don't see them. I haven't been able to do that one
- Strike while the iron is hot : solo scenario like 'The fate of Karabor'. And like that other one, very hard to do, I haven't been able to get thru it on my scout at 96, the last boss has a very massive aoe damage
After Gorgrond, I did the chain leading to On the Shadow's Trail. It can be picked up at the garrison, and made me lvl to 97. Be careful of the roaming elites

Talador You do not lvl enough in Draenor to get an advantage after you've done all of a zone and go to the other. After Gorgrond, Talador is not really easier. Again, many packed area with fast respawn (at least for irons). Many chains or bonus objective require to kill a named (or even elite) mob - Born to shred : instead of turning it immediately after completion to the vehicle, go back to Redemption rise before turning in. You can leave the vehicle there and turn it in to the dwarf. Do not pick up the follow up
- Engineering Her Demise: follow up to previous quest. Mob with a lvl 94 elite add. Upon accepting it, you will be flown to the middle of Tuurem for the fight. The add has balls of lightning plus a very damaging aoe. You must stay out of the area, which is clearly identified on the ground, but do it quickly. On various tries with my scout, at the end I had to fight 2 elite plus the goblin. If you abandon it, you can be taken back to before 'Born to shred', with the place filled with tens of mobs, so you won't even have time to realise it before you're dead. The goblin is the one to kill, once she's dead the add disappear
- Disrupting the Flow Lots of mobs, fast respawn, patrols. An iron nightmare. Can be done, but you have to plan it carefully and go from the outside, not necessarily from the previous resonator you just turned off
- The Heart of Auchindoun: you have to kill a named one in the same are as 'Disrupting the Flow". Said named have about 230k hp, and summoned adds. First time 1, then 2, then 3. Not sure if it's possible to do on an iron. It is also a blocking quest, until you do it you won't be able to get other quests in the zone

Spirit of Arak
A nightmare. Lvl 96+ mobs, most chains have one or more named mob to kill with more than 150k hp, bonus objectives often requires you to kill a named lvl 97 elite. The opening quests in Skettis are hard : lots of close mobs, fast respawn, and you have to do those quests to get the ones in Crow's Crook.
Try to lvl as much as you can before going to Draenor, so going thru Shadow Moon valley, Gorgrond and Talador will get you as close to 100 as possible before going in the Spires

Strike while the iron is hot : solo scenario like 'The fate of Karabor'. And like that other one, very hard to do, I haven't been able to get thru it on my scout at 96, the last boss has a very massive aoe damage. This one was soo hard on my level 95 prot paladin (my needy main). Had to use lay on hands, potions etc and saw Health low warning flashing 3 times!

There are instant respawn bugs in Shadowmoon valley they are like flies. after countless searching i cannot find a link for their location. but you can safely farm these until 95-96. probably 1.5-2hrs per level. there are also the exact same mobs in spires. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIiQifQ5ACo you can't AOE them all at once but easily single targeted. (as a note do not engage the rare spawn as it would be very difficult) can do this for 1-2 levels prolly 2hrs each. i don't know a decent method for 98-100. personally i would run around zones and try to do all the events in each zone. because it would likely be a full level. it would probably be a good idea to do dailies before doing mob farming. if you have the patients to do repetitive farming, this would work really well for you.

Those videos are pretty old and the bugs have been fixed now they have a much longer respawn timer. I used them on my main to level my bodyguard but they are fixed now
