I was asking on wowinterface if anyone know about any addon for Iron Man challenge,
and got information that this addon exists, so i though i should mention it here
Partaking in the Ironman Challenge? This add-on helps you follow the challenge guidelines.
This follows a "warn early, penalize late" philosophy.
As soon as a transgression is noticed, it notifies the player so that they may remedy.
However, if that transgression is still in effect when XP is gained, it is recorded as a disqualification.
This add-on is intended for self-enforcement.
If you are looking for a loophole, you are probably going against the spirit of the Challenge.
Use your best judgement. It is also not a full specification of the Ironman Challenge rules.
Contact Andycarnegie@Wyrmrest Accord (US) or the irongate channel on Wyrmrest Accord (US) to make improvements to this add-on.
Done
Only White or Grey gear. No Heirlooms of any kind.
No professions or secondary skills, except for First Aid.
No groups...
No deaths. Character death for any reason disqualifies the character.
No other external buffs (including buffs from items and other players).
No guilds, except for level 1 guilds...
Quests which will kill you (e.g., Devoured). What else?
No battlegrounds, or arenas.
Coming Soon
No transfer of gear, items, or money from any other character (yours or others).
No gear enhancements, including gems, enchanting, and reforging. Class abilities are allowed (e.g., Rogue poisons, Shaman imbues).
No potions, flasks, or elixirs...
No food buffs.
No assistance from other characters, even if not grouped.
An option to try to block (or undo) the transgression. Some complexity due to protected API.
Help Wanted
Potions for required quest items. Examples?
Buffs from items. Examples?
No dungeons or raids. No dungeon XP, no partying, or no non-world activity?
No Refer-A-Friend. What buff(s) does this provide?
No add ons which assist in combat and/or leveling. Suggestions?
Other actions which could be detected or prevented that would lead to disqualification.
