I never liked Azuremyst Isle. I swear we've been cleansing it for years now since the Exodar's crash landing. So I didn't waste much time there and once I had completed a few easy tasks I was on my way to the Exodar and adventures unknown! Once there I bid Velen "thank you" and "farewell"; I was off to Darnassus.
I had hoped I wouldn't of had too much trouble finding work in Darnassus for Azeroth's next great hero but to my surprise found none at all. A few strangers were nice enough to point me east towards a city called Dolanaar; they were certain I would find tasks available there.. and on my way I went.
Once there I easily found work yet it did little to keep me entertained; just like Azuremyst, cleanse this, cleanse that, turn a demon into a frog... some furblogs.. or was it furhogs.. whatever; as usual they were corrupted by something and I put fireball after fireball to use to help out my new friends, the night elves, deal with these and other corrupted creatures like swamp elemental thingys that had cancer. Nothing works on corruption or cancer like fireballs.
For the most part I didn't really feel much in danger once I had mastered the use of frost. Prior to that however I nearly met my end to a formidable foe and his friend; a beast by the name of Agal.. you guessed it, a corrupted Furdog. I had easily defeated his friend but found the beast bearing down on me with the full might of his vicious blows... my fire and arcane blasts were simply not powerful enough. I called upon the light to heal me and began to run... my life in the balance the beast relented... only to be destroyed by a nearby druid who had been watching me.
Now out of work in Dolanaar I have planned to make the journey back to Darnassus. I'm told that a great cataclysm has struck the mainland; a perfect opportunity to show the true depths of my skills and abilities...
<3 Ironwaggle: If they ask me to cleanse anything I am so going to hang out with the humans.

Bodies everywhere... I guess when I had heard that there was trouble in Darkshore I imagined something different. Night elf corpses lined the beach.. one after another. I was working with some of the sentinels to find survivors and we were somewhat successful.. until most of those we found alive died mere hours later.
It is a sorrowful place.. filled with misery and mourning...
It made me weary and my will to fight weakened.. where was this Deathwing anyways? It was then that I met a peculiar little man with an enormous beard and a fantastic accent... a dwarf by the name of Gorbold Steelhand.
It was my first taste of what he called "ale".. it was terrible. Despite that though it warmed my belly and although it didn't steal away any of the tragedy that surrounded us.. it made it somehow better. Gorbold made it easier to laugh as well and was fantastic company. I told him about Azuremyst, the Exodar, my work in Dolanaar.. ha, all that cleansing.
Gorbold: "Don't worry lad! Just take ah look around ya. Look over thar, corrupted crabs. Ha... what da ya know!? Corrupted cats! And let us not forget tha corrupted bears. Thar's plenty of good for a man of your expertise to do around here!"
It was only a few drinks later that word came in.. from the north.. the Shatterspear were attacking.. the Horde? Here? The sentinels began looking for volunteers to meet the enemy; I stood grabbing my staff with pride. If I cannot fight this Deathwing fellow then the next best thing will do.. Trolls.
Sentinel: "This is no laughing matter.. are you sure you are ready to put yourself in this danger?"
Ironwaggle: "Although it may not be a laughing matter, that is of no matter.. the Horde burn just as easily as corrupted cats, bears, crabs, or Furblags.. er Furbalds.. er.. whatever."
I thanked Gorbold and started on my way; a sentinel was waiting to take me to Ruins of Mathystra. It may not be the Horde's doing.. all of this tragedy.. but if they were going to capitalize on the destruction.. they were dead wrong.

Trolls.. the Horde... back at Lor'Danel my over confidence in beating them made me feel foolish now. Many of the laborers at the ruins provided little challenge. But the enforcers and shamans proved far more formidable. My body ached.. bruised.. some small wounds.. nothing I couldn't heal through the blessing granted to me by the Naaru.
It was then that the commander tasked me with moving South to the Tower of Anthalaxx to remove a commander by the name of Teegan Holloway and recovering a Tome.. one previously owned and used by the long dead fallen Highborne by the name of Athrikus Narassin. I quietly scoffed to myself,
"If this book was so damn important why didn't you already collect it when Narassin was "removed"? No! Let's just leave it there and wait for the enemy to move in and obtain it!"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The tower wasn't too far away from our main base camp. Nearly demolished.. black putrid smoke filled the air as the surrounding forest had been set ablaze. It hurt to breath; my body ached from the previous battles. Not really recovered from that nor the ale that I had over indulged in with Gorbold back at Lor'Danel. I missed Azuremyst and its relative peace. Hell even Dolanaar was preferable.. killing Frublags... Furryhogs..
"GOD! Why can I not remember what those things are called!?"
*sigh*
Composure Iron.. focus...
It was then that I saw them.. the Forsaken. Their very appearance was sickening. Extruding bones.. rotting flesh... between the smoke in the air and their very image I found it hard to not purge the ale and food that still sat in my stomach.
No matter... they burn just as easily...
Heat.. light... a spark.. there was comfort in the fire that blazed from my hands. How it had protected me in the past and beckoned my call now...
Let these abominations.. be burned...
The front guards stood little to no chance against the flaming globes that wrecked their decaying corpses.. the smell of their burning, undead flesh was worse than I could of imagined. But onward.. into the tower.
Where are you Teegan? The light has come for you.
The tower seemed empty, my target nowhere to be found.
The tome! I must find the tome!
"I WILL EAT YOUR BONES!"
One of the beasts had jumped from the shadows behind me. I barely had time to dodge. The blow hitting my right arm... the steel cut deep within my arm...
No room.. must...
The air sparkled and mist begin to coalesce. The air reacted violently as the water in the empty space solidified as ice around my attackers feet. And again the warmth returned to my hands.. the blaze of righteous fire.
"NOT TODAY UNDEAD!"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The tome.. where is the damn tome!? You're running out of time Iron... it won't be long before...
*voices and shuffling from outside the tower*
"It looks as though we have company.. search the tower.. kill any you find on sight. And remember! SEARCH the bodies before you EAT the bodies!"
I was able to avoid the foot soliders by hugging the wall near the top of what remained of the stairs; dropping down as they began climbing up them.
Teegan Holloway: Your flesh is forfeit!
My mark had charged at me full force. I wasn't prepared but none the less... he too found his feet encased in ice as he was pelted with a bolt of frost.
... and now.. you too will burn.
Blasts of fire and arcane smashed against Holloway's frame. Unlike those I had fought prior though his stamina and resilience was superior. A mighty swing of his blade broke the ice that rooted him down, as well as a foot.
The tower gave me little room to maneuver and Holloway was able to close the distance between us. Already at the bottom floor of the tower, I ran through the threshold outside.. the smoke.. so hard to breath...
Holloway: "DIE!"
No time to cast.. I was able to parry the blow somewhat with my staff which was shattered by his sword; again the blade sank into my right forearm. The pain was excruciating as the blow sent me reeling down a hill.. my spirit was fading... I called upon the Naaru.. the light. With what strength I had left a hot flash of fire blasted from my left hand.. Holloway collapsed.. dead... hehe, again I guess you would say.
Nearly dead myself.. I looked on his corpse for any signs of the tome... nothing. My arm badly wounded and bleeding heavily...
I need to get out of here...
Two more attackers.. an undead that had finished searching within the tower had come out to report to his commander and a troll shaman from behind me that had heard the commotion from my battle with Holloway...
Arcane magic dazzled from my hands... the undead footman poofed in a flash of smoke as a harmless sheep...
Need to heal.. need to bandage.. power of frost.. chain this trolls feet...
*THUD*
The shamans mace hit directly to Iron's head cracking his skull and sending him towards the earth. And there he would lay... his vision blurry.. his spirit withdrawing from his body.. and then only darkness.
