Ironaria's Journal (Level 15) When I first learned to summon demons at Grampy Spinwhizzle's knee I thought I'd be using them to amuse children at birthday parties or do my chores so I could hang out with my friends! But all that changed when our whole city got irradiated! With my Imp Chopit's help I made it out of Gnomeregan and defeated Crushcog (Mekkatorque helped a bit)! So everyone should be safe for now. I told Grampy I wanted to go right back down there and feed Thermaplugg his own cogs but Spinny (that's what I call Gramps ;D) thinks I need more "world experience" (whatever that is!). So I enlisted in the Mountaineers <Special Gnome Division> in Kharanos. We've been busy with wendigoes and trolls, oh yeah and troggs (sooo many troggs!). Plus I helped uncover a Dark Iron plot! I didn't really get what was going on but everyone was real helpful about who to arrest and stuff so I think we're all safe now! Anyway I'm stationed in Thelsamar in Loch Modan now (I think because I did so good in Dun Morough!). Oh yeah and I met a nice warlock here who knows how to summon some ever bigger demons! He's really nice! I'm going over to his house later

Ironaria's Journal (Level 22)
I’ve been busy learning to summon demons and protecting Loch Modan these past few days.
Solbin Shadowcog taught me to summon a voidwalker, succubus, and eye of kil’rogg. I’ve been using the voidwalker a lot because he’s so good at protecting me. He keeps asking me to use his name but I like to call him Bubbles instead!
Bubbles and I have stopped a lot of bad guys together! We cleared out the troggs at Ironband's Excavation Site, cleared out kobold nests and murloc huts, and finally destroyed some Twilight’s Hammer camps up North (hey! didn’t I already stop those guys???)! Anyway I killed the big ogre boss in his cave and destroyed the mysterious Twilight artifact so NOW I’m sure the Twilight’s Hammer is gone for good!
Oh yeah! Also, some hot-shot pilot named Andros Blastenheimer tried to pick me up with his souped-up mechanostrider (which was really cool!) but I’m not really into him. Thing is, he keeps sending me letters and dropping by my shifts… and it’s getting sort of creepy. I think I’m going to request a transfer somewhere else…

Ironaria's Journal (Level 30)
I talked to Mountaineer Stormpike about a transfer to another barracks and he told me the only opening was at Menethil Harbor in Wetlands. Have you seen that place? It’s half under-water! Well, I finally talked him into signing me up with the Night Watch in Duskwood working for some humans. A nice quiet forest, much better!

Ironaria's Journal (Level 30)
So… turns out that forest was haunted!
I’ve been buried (lolpun) in work since I got here. Seems like everything here wants to kill us! The animals are vicious, there are about a million worgen running around and of course the undead. Sooooo many undead!
Also (this is sort of embarrassing…), this strange old named Abercrombie turned out to be a necromancer or something. I was helping him out by gathering all this stuff for him and then it turns out he was using it to build an Abomination! Can you believe it? Well I saved the town too so no big deal.
And then I saved the town again by killing the lich of this other powerful necromancer named Morbent Fel over in the Raven Hill catacombs. After that the major gave me a medal for my bravery so that was pretty cool. We had a ceremony and everything, and the whole town was there (what was left of it anyway!) to thank me! It was awesome!
I’m still fighting alongside my voidy (Bubbles). We make a great team! Even with all this bad stuff around I never really felt like I was in danger. Oh yeah… and ogres! I also fought ogres! I forgot about that in the first part.
Anyway, that’s all for now journal. Ello Ebonlocke (that’s the major btw) said I could get some extra vacation time cause of my good work. I think I’m going to Stranglethorn Vale.

Ironaria's Journal (Level 32)
I’ve resurrected the ancient Troll, Bloodlord Mandokir!!! It’s like Abercrombie all over again. I’ve GOT to stop doing this! Okay, next time someone asks me to gather body parts for them I am definitely NOT doing it!
Other than that though, it was a pretty good vacation!
I got some hunting in which was a lot of fun, reminded me of the guys up at Farstrider Lodge in Loch Modan. Of course, Nesingwary Jr. is much better than those guys. He taught me a lot about tracking and camping stuff. And man was it fun to hang out with Nesinwary’s crew at night! So much food! We roasted hot dogs and marshmellows over the campfire and that guy’s got a million stories! Plus all the booze (of course)! Even for a dwarf Nessy is something else.
This last weekend I did some shopping in Stormwind with Grampy Spinwhizzle. He wanted to get me some adventuring cloths (and I can’t say no to free shopping!). We browsed the Mage Quarter for most of the day and then he bought me ice cream (so good!)! I should visit him more often.
For now I’m stationed at Fort Livingston. I’ll write more soon!

Ironaria's Journal (Level 36)
Turns out the reason my higher ups in Stormwind wanted me to stick around was cause of a huge troll invasion from Zul’Gurub.
Jindo’s been going around gathering up some powerful Trolls and trying to resurrect Hakkar! So of course it was Ironaria to the rescue! I helped guide Mandokir’s new pet raptor out of Zul’Gurub (well, almost!). And then I stopped Zanzil from resurrecting these two Troll priests (okay not quite but I got one of them!). Okay… maybe I didn’t do so great.
You know, now that I think about it, I think that’s why my commanding officer ‘encouraged’ me to freelance. What a sneaky cogwheel!
Anyway! So after leaving the Fort Livingston Guards officially I decided to try my hand at privateering (that’s fancy talk for piracy!). I joined up with the Blackwater Raiders in Booty Bay and helped them clear out the Bloodsail Buccaneers who were encroaching on their territory. Then I went undercover (poor Bossy had to die for my deception *sob*) and sabotaged all this Bloodsail stuff. It was sooo cool! So finally the big fight starts and I was throwing dynamite all over the place and swinging from ropes and stuff just like a real pirate! It was really exciting!
But then a recruiter for Jaina Proudmoore came and asked me to join up with her over on Theramore Isle. Being a pirate now I said “Arrrrrrrrrrr” (is that a “yes” or “no?”) but then decided to do it cause it’s the right thing to do!

Ironaria's Journal (Level 42)
I’m a champion of the humans! Theramore will stand forever because of me!
I started off my adventure by helping some weird folks find some weird food. It’s like these people have never seen a normal meal before! Frogs, turtle tongues, unpopped (ew!) spider eyes, these are just a few of the disgusting things I had to get them!
More heroically, I vanquished the sea creature Tethyr! Actually that was kind of lame too. It was shooting ice blasts at guards for like five minutes and didn’t even kill one! So it’s pretty much the most non-threatening monster ever!
No, I guess the real good I did was saving King Varian Wrynn, the leader of the Alliance! Well, no, I didn’t actually save him. See he was kidnapped by the Defias but then he escaped and killed Onyxia who was leading the Defias. But I killed some Defias! So… I guess I was sort of involved… well more like fighting the same people… afterward.Okay, but Jaina and Varian both thanked me personally so I’m pretty sure I did something important!
Also, I helped weaken Onyxia’s forces in southern Duskwallow Marsh so there’s that too!
Man, that’s a bummer. Anyway the humans think really highly of me now so I guess that’s what matters. They’ve asked me to do some special assignments for them Journal! So stay tuned!

Ironaria's Journal (Level 45) The day began well enough. I flew out to my special assignment in Eastern Plaguelands beaming with confidence after my victories in Duskwallow Marsh.
There I met the caravan driver Fiona and her two bumbling companions, the elf Tarenar Sunstrike and the dwarf Gidwin Goldbraids. They were amiable enough, though Tarenar thinks a little too much of himself for a paladin who neither heals nor drinks. Still, the trip was pleasant and their banter was amusing. And we quickly made our way across the Plaguelands.
I will not go into the details of the Battle of Darrowshire and the ghosts that still haunt that place. It is a sad story and it is better to say that I did my best to put the souls of the tragedy at rest. At least they seem more at peace now than when I first arrived.
Finally, I reached Light's Hope with my two anxious companions, the 'Paladin Pals.' We all joined the Argent Crusade together, and easily passed our initiation.
Then, it was time for some real work.
The Crusade was busy on two fronts in the Plaguelands, North at the Noxious Glade and South at Tyr's Hand. Remembering a tale I had heard from a traveling companion in Kalimdor about the horrors of the Glade I opted to try my hand in Tyr's Hand first.
I was elected to sneak in before the bulk of the Crusade, killing scouts and signaling the advance. It was a simple task, one that hardly tested my considerable power. Even the taking of the Scarlet chapel and barracks proved trivial tasks. The cathedral, however, was another matter. The sheer power of the undead Praetorians and Archmages was overwhelming for Bubble (my voidy!) and he fell several times and I advanced through the temple. Compared to his troops, the undead commander was a push-over. And with his death the Argent victory in Tyr's Hand was assured.
Things were quite different in the Noxious Glade. There would be no Argent Crusaders to assist me here. As I crept toward the Glade I again remembered the advice "beware the Noxious Glade." The foothills before it lulled me into a false sense of security, as the undead there were weak and spread far apart. Even Browman fell with ease. Still, I remained vigilant. If a powerful and experienced adventurer feared the Glade then there must be more to it than this. And so there was.
Towering above all other undead and indeed above the ziggurats themselves was the giant abonimation Garginox. This, I decided, was the thing that the hunter had feared. Quickly I made a mental note of its position (always keeping a part of my mind 'focused' on it). I then began to clear the Glade.
Undead fell as easily as they had at Browman Hill, but the cultists were another matter entirely. Always coupled together and with several insect swarms accompanying them they proved a significant challenge. It was slow going as I was forced to renew all my resources after each fight, and consuming so much time the undead in the area often returned.
Wary of Garginox but also anxious to finish off another batch of cultists before more undead arrived I made a daring attempt to kill them even AS Garginox approached. I didn't think he would see me! I thought we was slower! I was wrong!
Seconds into the fight Garginox lumbered toward Bubbles! Alarmed but not terribly frightened I commanded him to run and quickly set off myself, a good 30 yards closer to safety. A few seconds passed and I sensed Bubbles fade back to the Twisting Nether. He was gone! And Garginox was after me! No matter, I told myself, I was already half way down Browman Hill! Surely he would not follow me much farther and I was fast on my feet. I could make another 20 yards before he even got close!
For the second time that day, I was wrong!
Suddenly Garginox appeared at the crest of the hill! I didn't have time to be scared. He swung out his monstrous fist and my tiny body was crushed beneath it.
I should have better heeded that stranger's warning...
I should have avoided the Noxious Glade...
I was some time before the Argent Crusade realized what happened to me and sent out an expedition to resurrect me. So while I live again my body is not as strong as it once was. I can not longer serve with them and perhaps will never adventure again. I'm sorry Grandpa. I did my best. We'll have to wait for a true hero to defeat Thermaplugg.
