Elune be praised, for nothing else could have saved me from my own idiocy. After my adventures in Andorhal, and visiting my trainer in Stormwind, I stopped for a few quick ones at the Pig and Whistle Tavern. While there, I read my most recent orders, taken from the Hero's Board. Must have had more than a few, because I read "Swamp of Sorrows" rather than "Dustwallow Marsh".
So I flew (lucky we have gryphons) to Duskwood and headed wobbily through Deadwind Pass. Those are some mighty strong spiders in the overhanging trees in the pass, and a couple followed me into the entry to Swamp of Sorrows. I started feeling sober! In a fight, I would have absolutely no chance, sober or not, so I merely ran as fast as I could, hoping they would eventually leave--and that I would not meet any denizens of this swamp.
The spiders followed right on my heels, but did not attack. My pet also would not attack them, although Spidey has killed other spiders for me before. Yes I was willing to sacrifice my beloved Spidey for my own life, but he was having none of it. Feign death did not fool them, ((and nor did alt-F4)) nothing I could do would shake them. But never did they touch me. They just hovered over my prone body every time I feigned death, chattering as the minutes ticked by. Eventually I ran back to Deadwind Pass, and they scurried back to their home high in the trees. If I had known they simply wanted me to lead them home again, I would gladly have done that in the first place.
I accessed my hearthstone immediately, and once back at my home inn I had some hair of the dog, so to speak. Needed it.

Ironaria’s Letters (Level 35)
Dear Father,
Please accept my thanks for the position in Stranglethorn Vale. Though more dangerous, I much prefer the natural beauty of the jungle to the decaying land that is Hillsbrad.
It may interest you to know that before I left I adopted a black bear cub from the eastern edge of Hillsbrad. He took an instant liking to me, and seems to respond best to the Vrykul tongue. The little beast is a great fighter, and his stamina is unmatched. It may be in the interest of our rangers remaining there to train some of these animals as replacements for their traditional Dragonhawks. At least, I have found my bear to be an improvement.
As to my personal exploits here, I have been primarily occupied improving our relationship with the Darkspear trolls. The troll elder Nimboya has been sent to Grom’gol Base Camp in search of the troll prince Yenniku. He believes that the spirits of the jungle trolls can lead us to him, and so I have been busy harnessing the spirits of various troll warlords and mystics for him.
Additionally, I have made contact with a dwarven hunting expedition that is neutral in the Horde/Alliance conflict. Led by the adventurous dwarf Nesingway Jr. these experienced hunters could show even some of the Farstriders a thing or two. I have been hunting with them a great deal over the last week, and my kills have earned me the respect of the whole camp. I even tracked and killed several rare beasts that had eluded Nesingwary for years, including the white-tiger King Bangalash and the giant cougar Pogeyan. In the latter’s belly I found the provocative Battleforged Leggings (6596), an item of considerable value. I have sent it to mother in Silvermoon City in hopes that she can turn a tidy profit for us.
I will continue to update you on the situation with the trolls and the dwarfs as I am able.

Ironaria’s Letters (Level 35)
Dear Father,
Stranglethorn Vale has been cleansed of two great troll kingdoms!
With the assistance of the Darkspear Tribe, my Farstriders have struck deep into the hearts of both the Bloodscalp fortress of Zul Kunda and the Skullsplitter ruins of Zul’Mamwe. We have decimated and scattered their forces, and it may be years before they recover. Further, I have personally seen to the deaths of the troll warlords and the rescue of the troll prince Yenniku.
However, the news is not all good. For despite the fall of Zul Kunda and Zul’Mamwe, the ancient troll city of Zul’Gurub has risen again! With the assistance of our Horde allies I was able to infiltrate the city and kill High Priestess Jeklik, but Jin’do has succeeded in bringing back several other powerful trolls. I have stationed several rangers to watch the city gates for further activity, but it is well guarded and Jin’do is a powerful adversary. I recommend that we be reinforced right away!
I eagerly await further instructions!

Ironaria's Letters (Level 40)
Dear Mother,
Please speak to father on my behalf, but do it subtly! I fear I angered him by not successfully stopping the rise of the Zandalari tribe in Zul’Gurub. It appears they have reinforced their brethren in Zul’Aman as well, causing him further concern much closer to home.
I want you to know that I did all I could against Jin’do. He is simply too powerful for myself and the meager forces we had available in Stranglethorn Vale.
I am writing to let you know that I will be resigning from the Farstriders. I cannot deal with father and his moods any longer. Tell him I thank him for training me and leading me through the Ghostlands but that I must spread my wings and pave my own path.
You may be wondering why I do this now, so I will tell you.
I have been stationed in Dustwallow Marsh for the last six days, and it is as dreary and ugly as its name suggests. Much of my time has been spent trudging through mud and muck to kill crocodiles and other swamp creatures.
Furthermore, the Horde outpost here is an ogre village. I cannot shake my fears of these creatures. Every night I lie awake remembering father’s stories of their brutality in the Second War. And here they surround me day and night! One of their number, an ogre-mage named Draz’Zilb, has even approached me to assist him in a plot against their leader, Overlord Mok’Morokk. As if I needed to anger these beasts by involving myself in their political violence! I sense that whoever I help, or even if I try to remain neutral, the camp will soon erupt in bloodshed and I will be in danger!
So I’m leaving.
I have put in an application to join the Argent Crusade and have been conditionally accepted. I have arranged for a flight to Western Plaguelands and a caravan ride to Light’s Hope.
My allegiance is always to the Sin’dorei. Please understand why I do this, and pass on my love to father when you feel it is appropriate.
All my love,
Ironaria

Ironaria’s Letters (Level 45)
Dear Mother,
Do not worry about me. I am safe at Crown Guard Tower in the Eastern Plaguelands. My flight was uneventful, though I had to rescue a few other prospective Argent Crusaders who were taking my caravan. Gidwin Goldbraids, a dwarf, and Tarenar Sunstrike, regrettably one of our own Sin’dorei, two of the most immature soldiers it has ever been my misfortune to journey with.
I have helped the Cenarion Circle heal the corrupted land, at least insomuch as it can be healed with magic. This land could be beautiful, and I intend to watch it flourish with time.
I have also been busy assisting our local contingent of Argent Crusaders put to rest the spirits of the Battle of Darrowshire. It was a tragic event for the humans, in which their commander, Joseph Redpath, was turned by the Scourge and used as a weapon against the town. With the aid of the Bronze Dragonflight I was able to slay his troubled spirit and put the warring ghosts of that village to rest.
All this has had quite an impression on my application and I have been summoned to Light’s Hope for my final test. Unfortunately… Gidwin and Tarenar are to take the trial with me! Light protect them if they ruin my chances!

Ironaria’s Letters (Level 45)
Dear Father,
Please accept my humblest apologies for abandoning my post at Brackenwall Village. I am sure mother has explained my reasons to you so I will not duplicate them again here.
I am merely writing to let you know I am well. I am currently residing at Light’s Hope in Barracks 3 Cot 16, if you would like to write me. I have passed my initiation and am currently a member of the Argent Crusade in good standing.
I will continue to keep you updated on our progress against the Scourge here, as I know it directly affects what you will face in the Ghostlands.

Ironaria’s Letters (Level 50)
Dear Father,
Thank you for your understanding letters. I hope to visit soon as my unit moves north through the Eastern Plaguelands to the edge of the Ghostlands. In the meantime, please send mother my best wishes.
We have made exceptional progress in clearing out the remnants of the Scourge over the last few weeks –in no small part due to my skill and ability in the field.
The two centers of Scourge power surrounding Light’s Hope, the Noxious Glade and Tyr’s Hand have both fallen before the Argent Crusade with minimal difficulty. While I was wary of both strongholds, I have been corresponding with a young gnome warlock who recently served with the Crusade and her warnings allowed me to prepare well against both dangers.
Having secured the safety of Light’s Hope, I ventured north to clear Northdale. On the way there my unit was alerted to the presence of an undead nerubian, calling himself Ix’lar, attempting to re-assemble the Scourge under his control. He was laughably weak, and I cannot imagine that the Crusade would have had any difficulty in dealing with him without me. Nevertheless, it was I who slew him.
I was further diverted from cleansing Northdale by a repentant undead troll named Vex’tul. Eager to atone for his sins and give peace to his tribe, he urged me to join him in vanquishing the corrupted troll warlord Thresh’jin at Zul’Mashar. Here too I found my abilities more than adequate for the task. Though Vex’tul was a worthy ally, he sacrificed himself when the deed was done. I suppose I can understand his reasons. It must have been painful to live between life and death as he had.
Finally, with all distractions removed, I was able to move against Northdale and then the Plaguewood. No undead in either region posed any significant threat to me, but there numbers were endless and I have grown weary. The undead are particularly entrenched here and in the fallen human city of Stratholme. I suppose we must be satisfied with the victories we have thus far achieved for the time being.

Ironaria’s Letters (Level 54)
Dear Father,
With the undead either routed or fortified in Stratholme, the Crusade has seen fit to release me from active duty, that I might better serve the Horde again. I remain a member, and may be called upon in emergency but there is little reason for me to remain in the Plaguelands.
I have heard of troubles arising over in Kalmindor for the Bilgewater Cartel recently. I believe this may be an excellent opportunity for the Sin’dorei to strengthen their ties within the Horde, so it is likely that I will be traveling again soon. I understand there are two outposts where the goblins have congregated, Gadgetzan in Tanaris and Everlook in Winterspring. If I can assist these cities before the main Horde armies arrive then we will have the thanks and loyalty of these ingenious tinkers, not something to be taken lightly.
I will write you next from either Gadgetzan or Everlook.

Ironaria’s Letters (Level 54)
Dear Father,
I chose first to visit Gadgetzan, and I have been very successful here!
I have been corresponding primarily with Megs Dreadshredder, COO of the Bilgewater Cartel here in Tanaris. Her primary ventures were the elimination of a pirate outfit operating off the east coast of the desert and the recruitment of the Dunemaul ogres for cheap manual labour. Of course, the goblins lacked the muscle to effectively achieve either of these aims but in the few weeks I have been down here they have made considerable progress on both fronts.
I also met our famous archaeologist, Andoren Dawnrise, while I was down here. He’s currently excavating the Southmoon Ruins, and I was able to assist him in driving out the competing Explorer’s League. Almost by accident I discovered a runed chest that contained an ancient wand called [Jaina’s Firestarter]. How the wand used by the great human sorceress Jaina Proudmoore ended up in these ancient ruins I have no idea, though I’m sure Rhonin and time-travel were involved…
I will be traveling north to Winterspring as soon as I get my affairs in order here.

Ironaria’s Letters (Level 54)
Dear Father,
Again I have succeeded in beating the orcish delegates in aiding our goblins allies. However, my exploits in gaining the trust of Everlook are far less interesting that what I learned of our own people here.
I met, just outside of Everlook, a Kal’dorei sage by the name of Kelek S@*!*eper. He has been observing the Ruins of Kel’Theril for some time, and asked my assistance in quieting the spirits there. If you remember, we sent an expedition to Kel’Theril last year after learning of its power to corrupt both the Kal’dorei and Quel’dorei. Well, unsurprisingly they too have become corrupted by the Zin-Malor crystal within. Truly this place holds great significance for the folly of our people.
I am unable to explain how, perhaps it was simple luck, but I was able to resist the power of the Shade that has bound our ancestors here for millennia. It fled from me and I was able to strike it down!
Yet despite its death, the spirits of Kel’Theril remained bound to the ruins. The Shade dropped only a small crystal upon death, which S@*!*eper would later identify as a Shard of the Spiritspeaker. In ancient ruins the word “Umbranse” was inscribed upon it.
I did not know how to proceed them there, but S@*!*eper suggested I show what I had found to a Sin’dorei named Nymn, no relation to the famous Bard Nyhm, residing at Everlook. With his assistance, and the assistance of the Blue Dragonflight, I quickly discovered that Umbranse was the name of a powerful sorcerer who had defeated the Blue Dragons at Mazthoril and evicted them from their lair.
Unassisted by the dragons, who seemed content to sit outside and wait, I strode into Mazthoril. All manner of beast and demon had been summoned by Umbranse, but all fell before my hand-cannon. Eredar, voidwalkers, fel imps, mana wyrms, none could even pierce Hroddie’s (my bear) thick hide.
Finally, beaming with confidence I arrived at Umbranse’s inner sanctum. He had been expecting me, but it didn’t matter. A bullet between the eyes is as fatal to a mage as to a peasant.
I currently await my next assignment from Orgrimmar, as Winterspring has been cleansed of danger.

Ironaria’s Letters (Level 56)
Dear Father,
Kelek S*%*#eper suggested that I might aid his brethren in the Cenarion Circle while I wait for orders from the Horde leadership. So, I made my way south to Silithus, where I believed the Cenarion Hold to be warring with the Twilight’s Hammer and the Qiraj.
However, those conflicts have long since ended. The Cenarion Circle is the dominant power in Silithus now. While the Twilight cultists are scattered in a few tent outposts across the desert the Qiraj have no leadership outside their temple city.
I dutifully dispersed those cultists that I could, including a local leader named Vyral the Vile, but I have no doubt that they are only so weak in Silithus because their work is done here. Perhaps I will face their real leader someday…
I also conducted a daring rescue into Hive Regal to retrieve Mistress Natalia Mar’alith, a Kal’dorei priestess who had succumbed to the mind-altering influence of the Qiraj. Unfortunately, she was beyond redemption and I was forced to kill her.
Thankfully, I have received formal orders to report to Warmatron Okrilla at Dreadmaul Hold.

Ironaria’s Letters (Level 60)
Dear Father,
This will be my last letter for some time.
As usual my assistance was most welcome by Dreadmaul Hold, an outpost far beyond the reach of the Horde’s armies and beset by both ogres and Alliance. Indeed, fortress of Netherguard Keep dwarfs our tiny installation here. Unable to challenge the Alliance directly, I was ordered to disrupt their mining operations and assassinate Chief Prospector Hondo, a task that was not particularly difficult. However, I doubt the loss of their foreman will stall the Alliance war-machine for long…
There was also some concern among the officers about the arrival of a worgen mystic in the southern woods. This Marl Wormthorn had somehow managed to meld the druidic and fel arts together into a powerful magical abomination. As I slaughtered my way through his twisted creations I realized just how limited the Sin’dorei are in their knowledge of magic. By neglecting the natural magics we have handicapped ourselves in ways that the other races have not. Unfortunately for him, Wormthorn could conjure up nothing to protect himself from my trusty BKP 42 Ultra.
Most recently I have encountered a pair of Bloodmages, hiding out from persecution in the caves here. I know that you will not approve, but I believe their powers are too invaluable to dismiss on mere prejudice.
They have offered to help me unlock a great strength within me and I have accepted their offer. I go now to take part in their ritual, if their stories are to be believed my spirit will re-experience all its old memories as it prepares to awaken my sleeping potential.
Please wish me well, and do not attempt to recover my sleeping body. I am told that any interruptions from the outside world could be disastrous.

Journal of the Bloodmage Lexa’veil (Level 60)
Subject has: - Abstained from all food & drink, sustaining herself from the Sunwell alone - Abstained from all consumables - Abstained from use of First Aid, all functions of the blood are thus-far natural - Abstained from all constitution enhancing items --- The subject, Ironaria, is an ideal candidate for our ritual. Having abstained from any constitution-altering items, her body is in perfect health and so she has the greatest chance of survival of any subject we have yet trialed. That is not, however, to say that her chances of survival are high. Any misstep in the mind will have dire consequences for the living body.
She is likely to relive most vividly those memories which have held the greatest significance for her in life. After thorough questioning, it appears that these memories are not her own but the memories she holds of the stories her father told her of his adventures in Draenor, his discovery that his prince Kael’thas Sunstrider had succumbed to demonic corruption and betrayed his people, and his exploits in Northrend fighting back the Scourge. It is likely that she will have to overcome all these memories if she is to emerge from her comatose state, but if she does, if she survives, she will be much stronger for it.
((OOC: I couldn’t think of a good way to make Outland/Northrend work as RP so this is my attempt))
