Bal'a dash! Laren'remar (or Larenremar) here. I tried WoW Challenges several years ago, but stopped when I unsubscribed from WoW. Now, I am excited to be trying the challenges again and look forward to many grand adventures with challenge toons.
My first attempt in this revitalized era is Pezda, a Darkspear Troll Hunter (on the Feathermoon server). Starting out on the Echo Isles, Pezda eventually made her way through all of Durotar, stopping to help anyone she found that needed assistance. She is primarily assisted by her two pets. Khanma, a crimson red raptor, was her first pet and she adores her. However, Taetun, a bright yellow scorpion, serves Pezda more in combat with baddies. When it came time for Pezda to purchase a riding mount, she was drawn in by a turquoise raptor, who she named Zala.
The three of them had a really easy time through Durotar and eventually made their way into the Northern Barrens, conscripted by officials in Razor Hill. Pezda began to look for a third pet to serve as a more fearsome, stalwart defender of her, but just simply couldn't find the right fit. After helping out at the Far Watch Post, the Crossroads, and throughout the Oases of the Northern Barrens, Pezda made her way to Ratchet to see what work she could find there. She was overwhelmed by all of the people that needed assistance and took on many quests that would lead her both north and south of the coastal goblin town.
Before she set out on the quests, Pezda hit level 20. She made her way back to Orgrimmar to learn how to ride Zala faster and enlist in the Horde's war efforts - she is a proud member of the Horde, after all.
When returning to Ratchet, she set out south to battle the Theramore forces still encamped there. After her and Taetun sat, trying to find the right time to strike one of their lieutenants, several marines saw them, rushing to defeat them. Pezda had to make an escape and alerted many, many marines - including both Lieutenants in the camp - in the process. While Pezda was able to make it out unscathed by running into the ocean until she could safely swim ashore, Taetun was not so lucky.
Grieving over her first true loss in this world, she befriended a Barrens cheetah and named her Alzia. Now, Pezda must rethink whether she, Khanma, Zala, and Alzia can truly help everyone in Ratchet, or whether it's time to move to a new area of the world where can continue growing in skill without getting herself killed.
Player notes: This was my first real area where I felt like there were just too many baddies around to try and continue. I think this might be the first group of quests that I need to skip out on. I'm trying to play Pezda as "realistically" as possible. So, now that Taetun is dead, he is considered gone forever. He will remain in my stable, and that's why I needed to get another Ferocity pet - the cheetah. In addition, in another "realistic" simulation, I am playing with War Mode on! If an Alliance player happens to find me, then Pezda might get what she deserves for wandering so far from home. I'm excited about Pezda going forward, and happy that we hit level 20!
