I was ready for war, but I did not expect this. I was raised in a family with a strong warrior ethic, but the Light called me. The best way for me to adhere to the tenats of my family and the Light, I have become a warrior of the Light, a Paladin. Prior to the Cataclysm I had heard that Northshire Abbey was having issues with the Defias Brotherhood. I went there to see if I could provide aid. Once there, I realized that the Defias at Northshire Abbey was not the issue but orcs! More specifically the Blackrock Clan.
I was initially tasked to clear the Blackrock Worgs from the area. The marshal there requested six kills, but I went beyond and killed about ten. After that, the marshal bade me kill the Blackrock Orc spies, which I did with zeal. Through that assignment I felt myself more open to the Light and as such seeked training in the ways of the Light. With my Seal of Righteousness and Judgement being learned, I was told to go help get rid of Goblin Assassins. While I was ridding the Abbey of the goblins, I also helped heal those that had fallen. Those priestly spellbooks do have great power.
After "clearing the rear," I was asked to put out fires and kill more orcs at the orchard. I collected their weapons as proof and extinguished as much of the fires as I could, but the fires kept returning. Hopefully with what I have done the Abbey's fine wines can flow again.
In my last duty at the Abbey I was to kill "THe slayer." This was the biggest orc I had ever seen. However, I had a duty to complete and I did so diligently. Once I reported the slayer's demise I was then made a conscriptee in the Stormwind Army. I was told to report to Marshal McBride in Goldshire. (purchased new equipment)
Kobolds abound in Elwynn Forest. For the life of me I can't understand their fascination with candles. I don't want their candles, I'm just doing pest control. And Light save me from little boys that get in big trouble. I know there is a feud between those two families, but would spanking the child not help? Discipline needs to be instilled at some point. On top of everything else, someone's prize boar was eating the garden up of one of those families and it was up to me to put the boar in its place. Remy Two-Times wanted gold dust from the kobolds and William wanted the candles (I still don't but still...). Both mines I investigated were infested.
The two star-crossed lovers finally got to be with each other in that feud thanks to the swift thinking of William Pestle and myself (of which I obtained Crystal Fronds from murlocs for that invisibility liquor). Remy then asks me to ask Marshal McBride to go the east and deal with some more murlocs. He sends me instead to talk to Guard Thomas.
It turns out that murlocs are at least semi-intelligent and extremely dangerous. I had to collect 8 murloc fins for population control. This also seemed to be what happened to Rolf and his companion. Murlocs got them. Anyway, under the auspices of population control, I had to get rid of 5 young bears and 8 wolves. I am still wondering at these numbers as they don't seem to go away.
TUrns out there was a bounty on someone named Jack that was holed up in the Eastvale logging camp. Not only did I receive said bounty, but apparently there is a collector that I need to get as well. Since I had just finished turning in lumber, I thought this was to be a good idea (luckily I had felt more enlightened and seeked more training). The Collector had two others with him and a three on one fight almost ended my career... permanently. Thank the Light For Word of Glory and Holy Light. Otherwise I would have ended up dead. After receiving my reward for the collector, I was ordered to Westbrook Garrison.
It was now time to finish cleaning up Elwynn Forest. First I went and slew gnolls to collect their painted armbands. This was done easily enough. Then I went after the final culprit in the Elwynn Forest Saga: Hogger. Hogger was even bigger than the Slayer (and I thought orcs were supposed to be bigger than gnolls). With diligence and perserverance I was able to finish Hogger. But before my last blow struck, a Stormwind General arrived with two mages in tow. They sent Hogger to the stockades. And good riddance I say.
It seems there is help needed in Westfall. After some well-deserved down time, I shall venture forth and shine the Light on the people of Westfall. (Level 11 as of 20:02 EST Jan 26 2012)
