I have heard from the whispers of those cursed as I, or blessed as I would rather it be, that a diary, a journal of thoughts and memories, was the easiest way to remain sane. I have decided to join the idea, perhaps it will help me let go of my past and embrace my approaching future. I shall start with a bit about my past, so that I never forget what I live for.
My father was a glorious soldier in the Gilnean army. He spent many days perfecting his skills, seeking magic enhancements, to better serve our king. His armor and weapons were enchanted to make him stronger than many a man, his warrior skills enhanced with tedious practice and study. My sister was his greatest help. She was a fantastic scribe, always creating magical glyphs, writing fantastic stories. She never failed to mail me her new chapters. I do miss her cheerful laugh as we talked about her story. My mother was my father's pride, beautiful and elegant. She was a great chef, but only able to teach me the basics. Where was I, within my family? I was the weak one, the misguided. I left home as a young girl, seeking the ways of nature. I stayed with a farmer and his wife, both of which were skilled at manipulating nature for their fields. I stayed there for many years, but nature magic is hard to tap into. I was able to learn a simple spell to pull natural energy into a ball and launch it at attacking wolves. The farmers called it Wrath. I returned home, barely into adult hood. My family welcomed me back into their home, but only my sister welcomed me into her heart. We lived as a family for only a few short weeks.
I remember screaming. My mother's mangled body on the floor, my father bringing his enchanted hammer down on her killer, the killers claws tearing into his throat. Both let out gurgled howls before collapsing dead. I jumped out of bed, grabbing the staff the farmers made for me, and ran from the house. My sister followed me sobbing. Before I could react, a created pounced on her. She hadn't even had a second to scream before it killed her. I spun around and cast wrath on the creature, killing it. I gasped. A wolf man?
I could hear the prince shouting behind me, snapping me back into reality. It was then I realized all of Gilneas was under attack. I reported to the prince, helping kill many of the creatures and evacuating several citizens. He tried to make me leave, as I was not in the military, but I refused. I wanted vengeance for my family. Seeing that I was staunch in staying, he sent me to help gather supplies then join the king. I don't remember much of the battles we had, but I remember being bitten. I remember freeing Crowley and using his weapons to hold back the wolf men. I remember the Cathedral, but then all went dark. I remember glimpses of running in the forest, of killing innocent men.
I awoke mentally in the body of a wolf man, woman. I was told that I was cursed, but the alchemist's potion gave me my mind back. They called me my name, Kalira, and asked me to help them. "Never again call me that." I claimed. Then, remembering my beloved sister, I took a name from her story. "Mortyx, that shall be my name. It meant Death's power in Mirelli's stories." The king grimly nodded and sent me to help Gwen.

First day
While helping in Duskhaven, I was attacked by a forsaken assassin. Unfortunately for him, my new worgen form allowed me to tap into nature magic easier than before and I quickly dispatched him. I looked over to the ocean and my heart skipped a beat. Dozens of forsaken ships were anchored just off of shore. By the time I reported to Gwen, the Duskhaven mayor, about the ships, the forsaken had begun to attack. I helped the prince fight them off and moved onto helping Lord Godfrey. While receiving orders from him, we felt the earth shake and heard a sickening roar over head. The air briefly heated. I ran outside to find much of the ground gone into the ocean. Without a second thought I dove into the water to help save drowning survivors. We realized an evacuation was needed and with a heavy heart, we gathered up all remaining survivors and horses.
We traveled by carriage towards Stormglen Village. The carriages in front of us were ambushed by ogres. Seeing my prince's carriage fall, I jumped off ours to help. The two of us managed to save several gilneans from the alligators. Then my prince had a wonderful idea to deal with the forsaken chasing us. We stole the banner of the giant ogre leader. We managed to evade him, but he was furious. When the forsaken caught up to us, Prince Liam brandished the banner before them, calling it the ancestral banner of Gilneas. The forsaken took the bait and ripped the banner from the stand. The ogre saw they had the banner and attacked them, easily wiping out their forces. With the forsaken taken care of, I scouted the mountain. I found a small wyvern cub with a broken wing next to the corpse of a mother wyvern. I decided to take the little one with me as we moved on to Stormglen. It was nightfall by the time we reached the small village. With the help of a healer, we managed to fix the cub's wing. I tried to release it but it wouldn't leave my side. Gwen told me the wyverns imprint easily and form quick bonds with other creatures. She gave me some of the meat used to feed the dogs, to give to the little wyvern. After I fed it, I went to go to sleep, the little wyvern cuddling close to me. I decided to name her Mirelli.

Second Day
I spent the morning scavenging the town for hints of survivors, killing many of the monster spiders as I went my way. While Gwen and Lorna pieced together my findings, I set out to kill the monster spider queen, Rygna. Once I finished, I returned to Stormglen. Gwen and Lorna managed to piece together a journal that pointed us to an old man's mill. I headed out there to find a strange woman, a night elf. She told me about an assassin and gave me a trinket to deal with it. Once I killed the assassin, she pointed me to an old tree. There, much to my surprise, was Crowley, along with many worgen and night elves.
We ambushed the forsaken and stole back an artifact precious to Gilneas. With the night elves' help, I gained total control over my inner beast and even learned more advanced druidic magic. I was now able to achieve the animal shapes the elven druids were known for. King Greymane appeared with Godfrey and asked us to join the gilnean army. Crowley agreed after Genn revealed that he too, was cursed. Shortly after, Godfrey kidnapped the king. With the help of the alchemist and his invisibility potion, I was able to free my king and eliminate Godfrey and his allies.
We pushed on towards Gilneas City, making an outpost on the edge. I entered the nearby mines, killing many forsaken and freeing our people. Then, utilizing my new cat form, I stealthed into the forsaken camp and eliminated some of their key people. The remainder of the day was spent with a hunting party, gathering meat for the soldiers, so they would have the strength for the coming battle.
Tomorrow we take back Gilneas!
(died when spawned in the middle of the forsaken but thanks to the blessing of Nozdormu she was returned to level one and the same exact path as before without any memory of the incident. Nozdormu felt as tho the old gods were up to their tricks with that spawn point.)

Third Day
It has been three days since I became a worgen, and many more since we last stepped into Gilneas. I do not know how many days I was a wild beast, not more than two I believe, but no one seems to know exactly. Everything has lead us to here, here we take back our home city. By tonight I will be back home! The camp is eerily quiet as only a few of us are awake. There is time before everyone rises and rallies for the battle, so I decide to go for a breakfast hunt. The food cooked by those not cursed is fine, I eat it normally, but nothing rallies my heart like raw meat. I see a few other worgen leave the camp and a rare smile plays across my snout. Looks like I am not the only worgen who enjoys fresh meat. I drop to all fours and dash out into the morning darkness, sniffing for prey. It didn't take me long to find a lone sheep, strayed out of its pasture, recently sheered might I add. Its neck snapped quickly between my jaws and I enjoyed myself a lamb breakfast. With care I made sure to bury the body, I didn't want a farmer attacking me for killing his livestock, once Gilneas was free.
When I returned to camp many more people were awake. The camp was alive with noise as cannons and soldiers prepared for the coming battle. It was just before noon before we gathered to charge. I wrapped Mirelli in a blanket and had one of the stronger druids cast a sleep spell on her. With great care I tucked her in one of my packs and took my place with the soldiers. The prince gave a speech, then we charged. With ease we overtook the forsaken near the entrance, with bloody brilliance we fought our way through the square. The giant abominations fell quickly beneath our cannon fire, we fought and pushed deeper and deeper into the city.
When we reached the military district, a giant construct fell on top of us. It was unlike anything we had ever seen, and horribly grotesque. We seemed to be no match for it until I spotted catapults. Signaling to another worgen near me, I dove between the monster's legs, towards a catapult in the back. The other worgen followed me. He loaded the catapult as I jumped on. With careful aim, we began launching flaming missiles at the construct, killing it quickly. The prince gave a ralling shout as the catapult fell apart under me. We pushed on to greymane court.
We heard the king yell and turned to see her. The leader of the forsaken, Sylvanas. Every gilnean turned their guns, claws, and magic upon her. We were overwhelming her, we were winning, we should have killed her, but then she unleashed this dark magic that froze us where we were. My heart sunk as she point to our king, unleashing a bullet to kill him, my heart stopped as our young prince jumped into the path. Sylvanas fled the area.
There was no time to mourn for the dead, including our precious young prince, if we wanted to win Gilneas. Tobias and I set out to find the forsaken queen. We followed her trail into the cathedral. Our keen ears picked up distant footsteps approaching. We dove into the only cover available, the water. Sylvanas entered the cathedral followed by an orc and another forsaken. The orc did not want the forsaken to use something called the Plague, but after he left, Sylvanas gave the order to deploy it. As soon as the cost was clear, Tobias and I fled back to the king, giving him even more grave news.
The king sighed, to leave Gilneas meant Liam died for naught, but he needed to protect his people. We managed to convince the king that Liam died for his people, not for this dirt we were standing on. The king smiled at us and lifted his son over his shoulder. He pointed to a house, telling us there was a passage out of the city though there, the pointed over to a giant bat. He told Tobias to lead everyone through the tunnel and out of the city, then asked me to use this bat to bomb the forsaken and buy us time. The bat was easy to guide in the air, much like a horse on the ground, and I had my task done quickly. When I had returned, every except the king had left the city. I went ahead of him through the tunnel, using a torch to keep the rodents away from me.
I emerged in Aderic's Repose to find the spirits enraged. With the help of our alchemist, I managed to sooth their anger, just in time for the king to arrive. He burried the prince and asked us to leave him for a little while, promising to catch up later. With a heavy heart, I went on ahead and reported to Crowley. The night elves had arrived to lend us their aid once again, but the orcs had also arrived. With a quick briefing I was told to use one of the strange machines that came with the night elves to lay waste to the orcs. An elf came to help me steer it and we took out many orcs. We returned to Crowley, expecting to leave, but he informed us that there was a flying ship that would attack us if we tried. The night elves offered their strange flying creatures to reach the ship. About ten of us flew in and took it by surprise, with Lorna leading the attack. We took a box of explosives into the furnace of the ship, but before we could leave, a giant orc attacked us. We dispatched it quickly and jumped onto the wyverns to escape. Once we landed, everyone, including the king, got on the ship and left.

Days 4, 5, 6, 7
Uneventful days on the ship. We heard tales from the night elves about the dragon Deathwing and what he has done to this world, about the increase in the horde attacking their homeland, and about several brave adventurers who had been cut down. They told us about the lich king, the burning legion, the many fights to save this world. Their tales were musically enchanting and we listened intently. Our king regretted keeping us held up behind our wall. The night elves also told us many things about their own culture and answered any questions we had, since we would be staying in their capital Darnassus. I was extremely interested in the druids they mentioned, especially Malfurion Stormrage, and I inquired about the emerald dream and the cenarion circle.
On the fourth night on the ship, the elves informed us that we would be at Rut'theran Village in the morning. Shocked by how quickly we arrived, I asked the elves how. They smiled and informed me there were many magics in this world, but would indulge me further. Frustrated with their secrecy I went to sleep.
