I saw the bliz post on their site and decided Id have a go...
according to another thread about a self enforcment ironman addon on this board.
It says buffs from other players would be counted against you.
So, there you are quietly leveling ur way to 85, under the radar and then out of the blue some random player decides to buff you.
You've Failed ?
is that right ?
So with all the "Iron" name tags, a malicious player could go around failing ppl by simply buffing them ?

No, that is not correct.
If someone happens to buff you, click it off as soon as you notice. That's all. It's generally someone who was just trying to be nice to you, so smile that there are nice people in the world and then remove the buff before you enter combat.
Someone else buffing you has never "failed" you. I'm assuming whatever this mod is notifies you if someone buffs you so that you notice right away.

The mentioned addon is *very* strict in "failing" you. You don't fail just because a quest NPC or player buffs you, as long as you click the buff off. Sometimes the buff returns right away (usually when escorting some NPC, for example the paladin in EPL), don't worry, just click it off when the quest is done.
