I intend to pursue this venture appropriately attired. To whit - a tuxedo to accompany my finer topper and sword-stick. An associate of mine, a fine gnome tailor who is a dab hand with a needle and thread has offered to fashion me a fine bespoke suit. He has assured me that the item is without any enchantments or enhancements. The only advantage this fine garment would give me is simply to present a noble bearing and profile that would make the fairer sex swoon and state clearly that I am a gentleman of character. However I am aware that this may be considered unsporting under the rules of this challenge due to this endeavor requiring the assistance of another individual. I am most vexed on this issue and have no desire to sully my good family's name with underhanded behavior. Would anybody be so kind as to put my mind at rest on this matter.

I would say pay him for the suit, so long as it a white/grey item then you should be fine. To me that would be the same as if you went to the auction house and found the clothes listed there. So long as he isn't just giving them to you and you are paying a fair price for it then I see nothing wrong with it.

I'd say that while it may not be strictly within the rules, it's a cool enough idea, and the tuxedo will have less armor than vendor armor anyway, that you're definitely gaining no advantage, and making a nice variation on the ironman idea - post some screenies of your pimped out ironman when you do it, please!

If we're allowed to use the Auction house to generate money within the rules of the context, i dont see how using that money to purchase an item through the auction house would be against the rules.

Fine sir, while I do not share your taste in attire, I can appreciate your desire to look a certain way. I myself choose to don the apparel of my enemies so as to strike fear in them with the sight of me. I would say your concern while well meaning may be slightly misplaced. As long as your attire fits within the guidelines of the oath you made to the Order of Iron, and you pay this fine tailor a wage deserving of someone of his skill, I see no reason to be concerned at all. Good luck in your journeys, and may I suggest purchasing a second pair of trousers; Azeroth can be quite muddy.
