Figured I'd get a thread started for those looking for Ironman advice related to my favorite class: Warlocks!
When it comes to macros, I tend to keep it simple. I only have a few I use:
/petattack
/cast(insert desired spell here)
I use that one for sending in Huktast to do what he does best: keep the baddies off me! I myself tend to use a spell with a cast time, so as to not draw unwanted attention to myself before my void gets to the mob.
/cast fear
/petpassive
this one is a carryover from my main. Keeps Huktast from breaking fear. I also use it in combo with the first macro to control where the fighting takes place. If i notice a mob getting close and don't want to draw him into the fray, I hit this to bring the mob toward me, then hit the first macro to get Ole Blue back to fighting when the mob is where I want it to be.
the rest of the macros are all for combining Soulburn with the spells it enhances, like
/cast Soulburn
/cast Soul Fire
Makes soulfire an instant cast. This one is very handy for the Iron Warlock.
/cast Soulburn
/use Healthstone
The extra health boost it applies comes in handy when you find yourself in trouble.
/cast Soulburn
/cast Drain Life
This one isn't as useful since movement breaks the channel. but if you find yourself close to death and can't run for some reason, the extra health provided could be a lifesaver.
As for other things:
I haven't found any other pets than the Void particularly useful thus far in my experience. My best thus far has only been lvl 46 though, so maybe the extra damage provided by the Felpup and Succy might come in handy in the later levels. someone who has gotten that far would have to speak on that though.
Don't forget about Eye of Kilrogg once you get it!
