I wasn't trying to fight the elites. The distract ability you get from the camouflage kit has a chance to backfire - and it did. Two elites and a dragon were not fooled by my little distraction. The three of them took out my shield and half my health in one hit. And since you don't actually kill the mobs for that quest, there's nowhere to run. I'm debating whether or not to simply delete the character and start again, or keep him for a scout. As for the warrior, that ice troll is going down. I was waiting until level 8 to get execute, but had forgotten that the starter zone doesn't scale. Edit: Nevermind on Execute, you have to have a melee weapon. But I got to level 10 and switched to Prot. Now I just need 14 to get Thunderclap.

Back to do some more skinny dipping in the Iron pool.
Previously got to 23 on a naked Druid, but died to some unfamiliarity with a quest I hadn't done in years.
Created nakeds for all the classes (plus a couple more), and can use a scout first before trying as naked, so I'm going slow.
Had been using Worgen for the extra instanced starting zone worth of quests, rather pointless now though. Initially started with Worgens, except for classes they can't play (Shaman Panda, Draenei Paladin, Night Elf Demon Hunter, and a Night Elf Death Knight), but will probably replace any deaths with Night Elf for Shadowmeld (except for Paladin, Shaman, Warlock which NEs can't play).
Almost everyone is up to 10, couple at 11, Paladin at 2. Once the Worgen and Panda get out of their starting zones , I'll head to Azuremyst to level the Paladin and keep everyone on the same quests. When I get everyone to 19, with quests to turn in for 20, maybe I'll pay for a month to progress further.

Everyone is up to 11, except for the Paladin at level 2, which is waiting for everyone to get out of their instanced starting zones and join him in Azuremyst to get everyone on the same quests. good luck! the melee classes are gonna be really tough at higher levels... For the longest time I was doing Warrior because I felt that was the most difficult class with nothing more than melee attacks with bare hands, and what ever abilities come along as I level up. I've found Monks to be pretty strong for a melee class (with decent combat abilities), and Paladins have healing which is a big bonus. Finally found a pet for my Hunter at level 10, but my petless Hunter may be worse than a Warrior, but they do have an escape with Feign Death. Rogues are weaker than Warriors, but they do get Vanish at 23 which I think would make them better than a petless Hunter. Not sure what to expect with a Death Knight. Was a challenge what I first got one out of the starting zone long ago, and that wasn't even naked. I have noticed some things have been simplified from before, but not sure how much progress is possible, but that's what I'm here to find out. Have no idea what to expect with a Demon Hunter. I'm afraid in everything I do, but even that tougher named mobs are manageable so far, but I'm only level 11. Think petless Hunter is going to be the most difficult, followed by Rogue, but without an escape like those two, Warrior may be the toughest. But if I eventually start playing Night Elfs ( Elves?) for every class I can to get Shadowmeld so every class has an escape, petless Hunter should be the biggest challenge, followed by Rogue (I think). Ages ago (in 2017, before the level squish), I got a Warrior to 42, and recently got a Druid to 23 without too much difficulty, but not sure what progress to expect. With so many characters, I should be able to refamiliarize myself with quests I haven't done for years and not die because I don't know what I'm doing or what to expect. But progress is going to be slow with 14 characters to play as I try to keep everyone leveling together.

First naked fatality.
Nakedshaman died at 12 from running into a violent wind.
Only Panda I had, and had forgot about this quest.
Remade a Draenei (since I can't make a Night Elf) to keep my Paladin company while all my Worgen get out of their starting zone.

Everyone up to level 14 without any real issues (except Draenei Paladin and Shaman, Death Knight, and Demon Hunter. So, not really everyone, is it?).
Only real problem I had was the giant spider Rygna with my Worgen petless Hunter. With limited damage capabilities, had to use Freezing Trap multiple times while waiting for the Exhilaration cooldown. Other than the spider, it's been pretty smooth sailing for all classes.
Recently got Wildfire Bomb on my Worgen petless Hunter, which gives me a pretty good damage ability, and with the Freezing Trap/Exhilaration strategy, should be useful. Don't see any reason for any class to be unadvanceable anytime soon.
My Night Elf Death Knight is up to 13. Made good use of Death's Advance to run away, and Shadowmeld in emergencies, but feel like I may be running into a wall with Mayor Quimby. Inside a keep, surrounded by mobs that I can really only handle one at a time, I think this is my first real hurdle. Thinking of making a Death Knight scout to test it out and see what I am in for before making a fatal mistake. Once I know what I am facing, maybe I can run in and Shadowmeld in a safe place and bypass the groups of guards to take out the mayor.
On my Night Elf Demon Hunter, I am scared in everything I do, but come on, I am hunting DEMONS! Still stuck at 11, but it's the only zone I have never been in before, so I REALLY don't know what I'm getting into. Might need another scout here as well.

Created my Death Knight and Demon Hunter scouts, and got them started so they can start scouting out for their naked counterparts.
Curious that my Death Knight is now level 15, having just done the quests that only got my naked DK to 13.
Didn't think I would have to worry about scouting with abilities that the naked version didn't have yet, but I am now aware of that.
Mayor Quimby looks to be quite doable, so that logjam should be avoided.
Time to level up the scout DH and get everyone moving forward again.

Leveled up my Demon Hunter scout, and ready to start scouting.
Once again, curious that I have only done quests done by my counterpart, yet somehow (without the benefit of any rested bonus), I have outleveled my Naked by 1 level, 12 to 11.
And I may have been premature in regards to Mayor Quimby.
While scouting, the Mayor's room was clear of mobs except for him, yet running in and attempting to Shadowmeld was fruitless as the room had numerous mobs, some patrolling right over me.
So, starting over at level 1, but I'm thinking even more this may be a stopper quest.
I could wait until someone else comes along and clears the room out and get Mayor Quimby then (he does seem to respawn quicker), but that seems to go against the Spirit of the Iron (Naked) Challenge. On the back-burner for now.

Got my Death Knight back up to 10, but had a couple other mishaps.
Use my naked Druid as my unofficial naked scout, and after running through the tunnel full of rats out of Gilneas City and turning in the quest, I noticed that the tunnel was empty of rats. Thought I would explore since I don't have time while on the quest, and am afraid for my life as one mistimed torch has resulted in death by a thousand bites in the past. Found out that the emptiness of the tunnel must have been due to some lag or something because I suddenly found myself in the middle of the previously mentioned "thousand bites".
Also, my Monk got impatient and wasn't willing to spend a couple minutes fighting through spiders and just thought he would Darkflight to sprint through and easily outdistance the mobs and be on his way. Unfortunately, speed buffs don't help much when you get hit and dazed and slowed.
Leveled new versions up to the same point and again noticed that I am outleveling my previous characters through the same quests. Everyone at level 15, waiting to enter Gilneas City (the dreaded rat tunnel still to come), and somehow, my new Druid and Monk, doing the same quests without the benefit of any rested bonus, have easily outleveled everybody to level 18 instead of 15. Not sure why such a significant difference (maybe everyone should die and relevel).
Have learned that it is better to take 2 minutes of your time to avoid spending 2+ hours retracing your steps (as if I didn't know that already, but we'll see if the lesson actually sticks).

there is an xp buff from Blizzard at the moment called winds of sanctuary Hmmm, not sure how I feel about that. Think I did notice that before, but just didn't register with me. And I just tried and am unable to remove the buff. Spent 2+ hours each releveling up 2 characters, and looks like I'm going to need to do that again. Seems it runs through July 11th, so to be true to the challenge, I need to spend my time on important real world things instead of game playing. Not sure how I feel about that either, but it's probably a good thing. Thanks for the info, Xaya. EDIT: Oh, and my Death Knight scout too. May be just a scout, but would prefer it to be the same level as the character it is scouting for. (don't want any extra abilities that might be the difference between life and death)

Got all my Worgen out of the starting zone, and made a Panda Shaman to replace my Draenei and got him out of the starting zone also.
My Druid, Hunter, Mage, and Monk are sitting at level 19 on the doorstep of 20, and everyone else is quickly approaching at levels 15-18.
Did suffer a setback today on my Draenei Paladin in Dun Morogh. Did the quest using The Ultrasafe Personnel Launcher, and as I'm flying through the air it occurs to me that I have read the parachute sometimes doesn't deploy, and I proceed to plummet to the ground. Seven hours and 17 levels wasted, but I did reroll and am sitting at level 3. Think I'll bypass that from now on since he was the first, and also the breaking Dwarves out of ice because I seem to recall that was a problem also.
My Death Knight also had a setback. My scout was able to get Mayor Quimby, and I felt confident that I could do it for real, but it is a crowded, busy area, and an unfortunate pull of two mobs, and an untimely respawn (and an apparent fail of Shadowmeld) sent her back to level 1, although I do feel that quest is doable when before I thought it might be a stopper, but I know there are more difficult quests later which may be actual stoppers.
Plenty of quests seem far easier than they were before, so think there's plenty of upside remaining for all classes.
Saw that WoW Classic Hardcore is coming on August 24, and was thinking once I get everyone to 19 and ready for 20, I would pay for a month to level them up, and also give Classic a try.

Got all ten regular classes (and petless Hunter and minionless Warlock) to level 19, on the verge of level 20.
Demon Hunter is stuck at level 12. Struggled to beat the Imp Mother on my scout, but when I realized I hadn't assigned a spec or talents, it then became pretty easy and I took the plunge on the official Demon Hunter character.
Now stuck on Brood Queen Tyranna. On my scout, I have had one success and a dozen or so failures. Not sure how I did it that one time, and I think it was a complete fluke. Until I can come up with a reliably repeatable strategy, I'm not willing to risk it on my official Demon Hunter. Think this might be a stopper quest, though.
As I previously stated, I think Mayor Quimby is doable on my Death Knight, but it's a crowded area with added patrols, and it only takes one thing to go wrong for it to . . . uh . . . go wrong. Again, until I can reliably succeed on my scout, not willing to risk my official character.
Was wanting to get all 14 characters to the brink of level 20 before splurging for a month to continue to 20+, but I'm losing my patience (which is a bad thing). Think the Demon Hunter might be undoable, and had plenty of Death Knight failures that I might just put the Hero classes aside for now and dive in with the others. But not just yet.
Also, really want to give WoW Classic Hardcore a try!
