Nothing against WrA or Moonguard (Rusty is currently on MG) but any of you off there on quieter servers, going it alone? I am not the best player, and did not realized how MANY times I die in lower levels, so I figured a nice quiet server to "bash my head against the wall" and die a zillion times without someone watching me flail about is a better way to go. Plus there is no chat to distract and slow you down...I can't multitask my way out of a paper bag... My worgens are on Cenarian Circle, I've run into maybe one other actual Challenger, considering I have a hard time making it out of the worgen starting zone (damn you Tempest Reach and Baron Ashbury..) but I sort of like it that way. Sometimes it gets lonely, but all concentration is needed, for me anyways... If you are a loner, maybe give an intro here (if you want to be known)...or if you are a Thumb Hitter or a Head Basher, just stay silent...maybe we will see you at 85...

My new attempt will be on as low a population (or faction) PvE server as I can find. I think I'll also stick to high level zones and try to power through, since hunters don't really die to combat-related things, or at least mine don't.

Well from what I can see I am the only one playing on Ghostlands (EU). Only just started though. Only just started though. Cruised easily to 10 yesterday on my Orc hunter.
Ghostlands is where pretty much all my chars are, but the rest is on alliance side....

I was also having a serious problem with instant respawns after 2 or 3 other people have raped an area..I died a couple of times this weekend to the Weekenders that came through..I learned to wait for all respawns to occur, might take a bit, but at least you know where they are.

Yeah respawns can be really nasty. I have always hated caves as well and try to make sure I bring my HS with me when I enter one.

If you want a really quiet server you can head over to Drak'thul (US). I'm playing Horde-side and it's dead as doornails here - from levelling Alliance-side I can say it's pretty much the same thing. I've seen a total of... maybe three people through the BE and UD starting zones.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with going it Lone Wolf style. After all, the challenge is pretty much designed for it. Also, in Loner Land no one can hear you scream... when you do something silly (death by lowbie spider can sting). Just throwing that out there.

LOL So true. If I die in a spectacularly stupid manner, I don't exactly want an audience. I kind of enjoy being by myself. Yesterday I ran into some people in Ghostlands and they stole my quest kill, the elite troll in those villages outside ZA. Normally that would never bug me, but when I'd killed my way through the village to get to the guy, and then had to kill my way out because of respawns and faced a couple hairy moments, it made me appreciate the value of not being in populated areas.

Just a note to anyone considering a dead server... I don't regret my choice, but I just spent 40 minutes farming wool because there isn't any available at any price Horde side on Elune.

A really good spot to farm wool is Azurelode Mine in Hillsbrad. The mobs are are webbed so you can comfortably attack them one at a time and drop rate is pretty good! No chance of pats or surprise respawns. I ground out half a level on them and got a bunch of wool and linen for the AH.

The westernmost finger in Hillsbrad is also excellent for similar reasons. Infinite level 24 mobs which pull one at a time.

big elite INVISIBLE moon kitty in Darkshore...
lalalalala what the f---- ieeee *darkflight*
runrunrun..plz plz plz plz....ack kitty *POUNCE* *stunned*
*bleedbleedbleed* oh no, another kitty...
And I'm....
DEAD.
I have never leveled an alli, never leveled in Darkshore, and with the Ironman my highest is 16 (unlike you experts who have better situational awareness and/or skill who seem to cruise to 20 or 30 with ease) I am extremely frustrated...
So I'm very glad no one is watching to see me scream, cry, rant..
*and again..*
RIP Wolfianna..at 15

big elite INVISIBLE moon kitty in Darkshore... I had an elite Ogre kill my Tauren Warrior, and he was hiding in plain sight. I'd been killing Ogres and Goblins up to the mouth of a cave and just as I approached the entrance I saw him standing there. Me: Y'know, you look a little... different... than the others. Him: I'm watching my weight. Cut out dairy, is all. Me: No, there's something else. Is that a blue sash around your waist? Every other Ogre seems to be wearing red. Him: I don't know what you mean. Blue is a slimming color on me. Matches me eyes. Now come here and slay me, for I am very afraid. Me: All right I w- Him: SURPRISE ELITE SMASHING! HOW DOES YOUR DEATH TASTE?! Situational awareness seems to be a lesson learned after a corpse or two.

My situational awareness is pretty shoddy... mostly I just picked the class I've played since launch and ran questlines I could do in my sleep. I'm sorry you lost your Wolfianna
