About half way through lvl 98 now but I had a major scare earlier today, it had all been running quite smoothly up to then, I was busy in the garrison mine collecting ore when one of those Goren creatures spawned, at first I hadn't noticed it and was just onto the next ore node when I realised, my pet was on it but with only a little health left, I didn't really envisage a difficult fight but just had time to get a couple shots off before the pet died, so a quick rez but the dude was onto me and in like 3 hits I was flashing low hp, so just hit feign death in time! I was on about 5% hp and luckily the pet finished it off. Damn that was a wake up call to the hazards of Draenor. Those mine/herb garden creatures scale to your lvl and can dish out some serious damage, so I will be extra vigilant from now on whilst collecting the ore/herbs. A lesson to all challengers is to keep 100% focused on what you're doing and your surroundings, it can all be over in a split second of carelessness.

Up to level 99 now and finally finished with MoP, the quest turn in is down to 2k so not worth it. The garrison herb/ore farming each day gives a nice chunk of xp (1k each node) and currently have garden and mine at level 2, just got to be aware of those pesky dudes when they spawn.

Well Peachez finally made it to level 100 with a few near misses on the way during the journey so far! Next leg is to reach 110 but I will be taking it slowly. I've done a fair bit of the SMV content but have all other Draenor zones to get as close to the target as possible before even thinking about Legion.

Looking forward to seeing you hit 110 and it's nice you still have so much WoD content to make the most of. One of the great things about seeing everyone else's journeys is that it gives the rest of us a plan of action for when we finally make it to those heady heights:)

Take advantage of the safe xp, treasures, dailys, garrison, holidays. Most importantly, get there how you see fit within the rules. The only problems you will face from here on out is complacency, lack of restraint and the dreaded DC boss.

Thanks for all your kind words, tips and advice. Garrison herb/ore has dropped to just 180 xp per node now, so I'm considering leaving it although it is fairly quick and safe. I'm now saving resources to allow garrison upgrade to lvl 3, so I can get some buildings that give dailys.

Still ploughing through level 100 slowly. Managed to get my garrison upgrade to level 3 today just about, so now need to wait for enough resources to get some new buildings. Going from Lyssans post Dwarven bunker should be aquired as it gives a scaling daily, so that's my target! I've been questing/treasure hunting in SMV and also just started Gorgrond, I did have a slight scare today though which got the old ticker racing! I was in Gorgrond looking for a safe place to land and spotted a nearby big waspy fly type thing and naturally I assumed it would be same level as other surrounding mobs (lvl 93/94) so without checking I sent pet to attack it and turns out it was a lvl 100, my damage was only slowly taking it down and my pet was about to die, so should I fd or rez new pet? I thought fd, but it still came at me so had to quickly rez new pet whilst taking a big chunk of damage, so then tried to get as much distance as I could safely manage, meanwhile pets hp was getting low again but so was the mobs, so I thought quick shadowmeld! but as I did that the mob died, phew! I had to quickly eat/HS and left it for a while. Lesson is to take nothing for granted and always check before attacking. Just above Marg warned me about complacency!!

Just above Marg warned me about complacency!! It's a common thing in my experience to get a spike in complacency, either, just before a ding, i would love it if we had data on when people died, i would predict that a large amount of deaths would be just before an important ding. I know personally that a large amount of my deaths are just before a ding with 20 quests to hand in. You will also find large spikes of complacency and a lack of restraint after spending a large amount of time in a previous expansion, doing dailys, one shotting mobs. You then go into the current expansion and are used to one shotting things.

Well I managed to reach lvl 101 today and it seems so much easier fighting mobs now, almost 1 shotting in SMV, Gorgrond and Talador, not ventured beyond these zones yet. Still looking for a good place to farm 'Iron scraps' for the dwarven bunker quest, wowhead has given me a few suggestions, apparantly there's a place just north of Redemption Rise in Talador which I will try next. Quest xp turn ins have dropped a fair bit, lucky to get 1k a go at the moment!

It's slow going at the moment, not a lot of xp around and then the 'Winter Veil' event begins! I noticed there were 4 dailys in my garrison for the grumpling quests in Frostfire Ridge. I was tempted to go out there and give them a try, but thought better of it and got my scout up to lvl 100 upgraded the garrison to lvl 3 (5k gold though ) and proceeded to send it out to test the grumpling dailys, wow I'm so pleased I did as those lvl 100 mobs hit like a truck and were 1 or 2 shotting me with ease and respawning so quicky. Stood up on a rock I could safely manage 1 of the dailys throwing the bomb at nearby mobs and with a fair amount of risk I could get a tag on the big boss while it was being attacked, but overall the zone is probably best avoided as an Iron, I'm certainly not going to risk it! The other daily quest from IronForge up to Hillsbrad is doable though, just don't aggro big boss let others kill it and go loot the treats after and it's job done!

Managed to hit level 102 today! It's getting hard finding decent xp now, I still haven't touched Spires, Nagrand or Tanaan yet so might have to try those zones now. I have also got my scout up to 101 ready to test the path ahead I had a bit of bad news the other day losing a level 76 pacifist, to an unexpected dismount of all things!! while exploring in Howling Fjord, I flew over the Island down by the bringing seals together quest which dinged the exploration acheive and with that my char started plumetting to its death, there was no hit from anything else, just a glitch so I was pretty annoyed about that. I did have a glider but it caught me by surprise and before I could react it was all over.

Just a quick update. I decided to send my scout into Spires of Arak and all went well establishing a base at Southport. So I sent in my IMC, just after arrival I spotted a treasure up on the hillside to my left, it was a bundle of 'Iron Horde explosives' and without giving it too much thought I looted it and smiled as I saw a nice chunk of xp, but a split second later my happiness turned to horror as an explosion sent my char soaring up into the sky, oh no not another untimely death I thought as my char began hurtling back down to earth and landed with a thud and about 5% of health left, phew! So just a warning to any other fellow challengers to be aware! I did come back on my scout (a lvl below my IMC) and looted it and I landed with about 1 or 2%, so I'm not sure but it would probably kill you at level 100 or less.
