This may be a dumb question, but if you lose the Grand Melee, do you die? only your mount 'dies', your toon takes no damage at all

Yes, the Chasing the Chicken IS safe for pacifists. It asks you to do things (as a vehicle button) like dip roosters, punt prairie chickens, return hens to coop etc.) These are all safe things.
In terms of other Tiller's daily quests at Halfhill, the following ARE safe for pacifists (they are descriptions, I don't know all the quest names). Might not be complete. I'll add more as I remember them.
Blue Pearl retrieval
Making booze from fruit found in Farmer Yoon's house
Chasing the Chicken
Burning the Ropes
Weed Control
Money Matters
Goldenfire Orchid
Planting the crop of the day (you don't even need to harvest it to do the turn in for it)
NOT pacifist safe:
Stomping on marmots
Getting a tooth
Getting a bird leg
Unsure, since i don't do it (it annoys me and I find the targets hard to see) : Watering the Crops
I'm guessing it's fine since you're just dropping water from above.
In terms of the overall farm:
Breaking the rocks to start the farm IS safe
Growing the farm (to 8 from 4 plots) - IS safe IF you can vanish, SM or run away from the multiple small mobs that spawn when you pick the requireed plant.
Growing the farm larger (after 8 plots) is NOT safe (Gathering lumber). The numerous yellow mobs underwater turn red when you accept the quest!
For the cooking dailies (lvl 90 required): The Truffle Shuffle IS safe.

tried it on reg : you don't really kill them, so they don't count as kills. However you'll end up fighting many of them and they can kill you. Side note : not really in the spirit of the pacifist

If you are thinking of that tentacle thing that you get a vehicle bar to click on, that's fine, no problem. Also fine is the stubborn weed that you get a vehicle bar to click on to pull it. And it's fine to jump for runty vegetables and tug/run for tangled ones.  Just no wriggling, alluring or occupied soil kinds of thing. |

After 90, there isn't much for a passive in WOD, because you can't train profs, right?
So all you can do is look for treasure?
