It's a real grief isn't it? I'm getting used to it, but it still sucks. This was my seventh attempt at the same character. I got to level 50 and was doing the quest The Hunt Continues in Badlands, where you're sent to a phased New Kargath. Somehow I started flickering in and out of phase and was suddenly insta-killed by a 95k shot from one of the guards who I didn't even get to see. So very tired of the gnome starting area... I even made a ticket. We'll see what happens.  |

Argh! Pacifist "death" at level 65 :s Discovered after 60 that Archaeology is a good source of XP in the Eastern Kingdoms with the ability to fly and lower level mobs, and around 2500xp per dig vs. 1000xp per herb/ore. So I did load of Archae as well as any quests I could do in Outland and fishing/cooking/winterspring dailies from 60 to 65. Then one time in the Hinterlands there was a Troll standing right on the tablet. I rooted the Troll and then stepped closer into range to click the artefact. Still had the troll targetted so my char auto attacked it and one-shot it, bare-handed 2 days 11 hours played, pacifist no more. Zador ironzadora, 110 paladin ironman peaceable, 65 troll-killing non-pacifist |

well.. My first Iron died at level 34 in the cape of stranglethorn to a auto death (100% can't avoid it) for a quest.... I Think I'm going to throw up :/

I think I will this evening. I typically play on Moon guard (even before my chcallenge runs) so I have started to roll my challenges on the WA server to be part of the guild. After my iron was so savegly killed by a troll I decided to try out the bloodthirsty challenge and my own spin of NO quests (minus the ones to start panda land and legion because you have to) he is level 14 now. Also created a pacifist toon (this may take me years, but it will be a slow burn grind I look forward to), and this evening I may start ironman again... I think what is "telling" is that I didn't know what killed my first iron would do that... it shows how different the mindset of people are in regards to wow now. Back in vanilla, we KNEW the wuests and remember them vividly, that wasn't the case here after aooo many years of ignoring questing and zones all together. I'm chalking this up as a learning experience and am actually ok with it. Also, best of luck on your challenges! |

My bloodthirsty died a week ago at level 47. I wanted to go to Swamp of Sorrows through Duskwood and for some reason there was a skull guard at the crossroad that gave it to me good. I did that route several times before and there was no stupid guard, I assume there was some dude that attacked the low level NPCs and made that thing spawn  |

FFS! Subject Four in Aszhara!!!! Killed me instantly despite me being same level.
Looked on Wowhead: "Post WoD, his Hyper-Accelerated Suspension Beam probably didn't get squished properly and deals 75 arcane damage every 0.05 second, killing equal level players in under a second."
At least I was only level 15. First Ironman Char, definitely rerolling. Plate character incoming...

Even at level 91, a MoP rare can two shot you if they decide to ignore your pet I always stay far from rares in Pandaria, WOD or Legion. Not too hard since they show on the minimap

Rerolling immediately is definitely a good sign

Died at 79 due to DC. Was doing the protodrake quest in Dun Niffelem. Had just jumped on the back of the protodrake and DC'd. I got right back on but once the screen showed up all I saw was green. It took a second to realize the green was the floor rushing up to meet me and I went splat before I could hit a pally bubble. Well once I rez'd one of the 80 elite Hodir stomped on me flattening me back in my original crater, not so sure the pally bubble would have gotten me out of there anyway.
That killed the Moons Team Iron so it's back to the drawing board once the mourning is over....

I was able to pop my goblin glider in time. I only had this DC issue with the first protodrake I jumped on. The ones after were fine. |
