Died 3 times in 3 days on my Iron Rogue at 24, 38, and 44. 2 of those were being swarmed by summoned adds in Andorhol and Darrowshire and SM not holding up against the beatings. The other was me just being dumb and inattentive. I am going to convert to Tin tho' to take a break from re-leveling it due to limited play time. I want to see what comes beyond 1-60 danggit!

Lost my lvl 90 DK ironman, was doing some dailies at the setting sun garrison in pandaria and just about to hit lvl 91. Was doing the quest “Survival Ring: Blades”, had been doing the dailies in this area for a few days and felt very conferrable with the quests. I got hit by one of the pandas and pushed into the blades, normally not a problem because you can take several hits without dying. And you can just leave the ring and be fine. But not this time, after I got hit my HP just kept getting lower. I left the ring, but my HP was still dropping. Ran as far away I could but my HP just went down. Nothing was hitting me, was far away from everything when I died. I have no idea why it bugged out, but clearly that’s not how its supposed to work. Well well, guess ill start over on a new char in the weekend.
Have anyone else experienced that the blades can bugout?

ahh that's cruel. Was it perhaps a bleeding-debuff? Sorry No, i ran back after i died and tried to replicate the events. Ran inte the whirling swords over and over, but no debuffs, no damage taken after i left the swirles, so it was a one-time thing.

Thats happened to me on a normal toon, which is exactly why i don't do them ones, same with the wall rolling one i have come off the wall, instead of going back to the quest giver i just face planted on the ground and died. I usually just do the bombing, shooting and killing the guys in the ring dailys there, i leave the rest alone, not worth it.Same with the Half Hill dailys, i am very choosy at what dailys i do there in comparison to my class and level. You can get in trouble very quickly with some of those monkey mountain dailys.

Confused rather than a rage - in Ashenvale just reached the moonwell, I dinged 28 as I opened a section of map then 5 mobs were suddenly attacking me (yellow mobs). Log shows no attack from me, it is like the animals sought revenge!! Ironically I just got feign death but hadn't noticed Moving her to tin as I have been enjoying playing her with my limited time.

Pretty upset... I just lost a 35 Hunter in Stonetalon, at the Northwatch Expedition Base Camp. Right outside of the camp, I came across Alliance NPC guards from the camp fighting a dozen of Unsubdued Kobolds (first time I ever notice those). I watch for a couple of minutes as the Kobolds die and are replaced with others, and the guards die as well. Eventually, I understand it's a little RPG event. I ride past them and begin my quest a few feet behind them. That's when, apparently, all the Alliance guards decide to die. And all the kobolds (apparently not part of an RPG event) turn on me, dismount me instantly and reduce me to hunter puree before I can Feign Death -and before I can really grasp the situation, really.
Guess she'll be moving to Tin. I have a Pacifist and a Shammy still in the race, but... kind of feeling "what the hell" right now.

That has happened to me plenty of times too, in many different zones. These events where friendly NPC’s are battling hostile mobs, you seemingly get aggro out of nowhere, just by being around. So always be careful when around these areas and don’t forget to look behind your back.

Good luck guys, I just lost my main ironman toon, (lvl 40 ironrastxi) today, do to the level scaling. I cant deal with this; ironman has always been fun for me but this just takes all the fun out of it for me.
thanks for the good times and good memories.
update:
my guildies got up in arms when I told them I quit the challenge. so now ironrastxii is lvl 11 and I am back in lol. old habits die hard

What do you mean "do to level scaling"? Was there any particular mob that did some wrong damage?

Apparently im too bad for the iron man challenge. I've made 6 Rogues now and none of those made it past 30. (ud 15, ud 11, be 14, be 21, be 29, nb 24 [if i recall correctly]). while i learned and accepted after four deaths to better skip elite mobs/group quest i am still having a hard time skipping the things i now know is dangerous and can kill me. i'd much rather face a difficult enemy than skip it, but thats propably not how you get far in iron man. Not quite sure what to do now, wether to do a tinman or if i can change enough to take myself further in an ironman attempt. but reading about all those deaths here, that weren't self "inflicted" really makes me wonder if its worth it. i myself disconnect quite frequently (some examples are dismounting and landing whith a glider - which not necessarily influence a challenge, but if those can happen, other not expected disconnects can aswell).
i wish there was a challenge that would encourage players to engage in difficult encounters rather than to skip them, but i sadly have no idea how one could compare players in a challenge like that.

It's a game changer. Honestly, if you give up before playing a night elf, it wasn't really a try. while i learned and accepted after four deaths to better skip elite mobs/group quest i am still having a hard time skipping the things i now know is dangerous and can kill me. i'd much rather face a difficult enemy than skip it, but thats propably not how you get far in iron man. It's a good way to get far in ironman, but you need a 'oh crap' button. Before you get Vanish, you have to utilise Shadowmeld. So either play it safe and skip danger until Vanish, or play a night elf.Not quite sure what to do now, wether to do a tinman or if i can change enough to take myself further in an ironman attempt. but reading about all those deaths here, that weren't self "inflicted" really makes me wonder if its worth it. i myself disconnect quite frequently (some examples are dismounting and landing whith a glider - which not necessarily influence a challenge, but if those can happen, other not expected disconnects can aswell). i wish there was a challenge that would encourage players to engage in difficult encounters rather than to skip them, but i sadly have no idea how one could compare players in a challenge like that. That was speed to 60 and still is every single contest. In contests, taking calculated risks for a great reward (usually exp, thus getting ahead of the curve) is a good strategy. But as I said previously, you need a combat ending mechanism. Shadowmeld, feign death, vanish or bubble hearth.TL:DR roll a night elf and then see if the challenge is for you.

In the "easter kingdoms" contest night elfs weren't an option. but since today is the last day of that contest i could try a night elf. thank you for your response.
