I think I just took the cake for the dumbest death possible. I stopped by the central camp in wetlands. I was in a hurry to log off so I just parked myself by a fire and I came back 10 minutes later dead. I burned to death, slowly. I was level 23.

Brittleiron dead at 79

Cruising through Dragonblight with very little trouble and hit the quest Mighty Magnataur which requires killing the 3 Magnataur bosses. Killed him in approx 12s and took minimal damage from his melee (around 600 damage... of a total of 10,710 life).... then saw the Pulsing Shard damage tic for 5k every 3 sec and couldn't even manage a quick bandage before dying. Went back to kill him again to test... killed him again quickly and this time took 8k from the first tic and 12k from the second tic.

Seems this mob was missed in the stats squish or is bugged somehow. Warrior is extremely powerful beyond lvl 40 with Ignore Pain in protection spec and I was handling group mobs or ones I generally avoid with very little trouble. Yet another stupid death.... damn I'm good at these

Iceshatter is quite tricky for melee. I remember there is some casting time for that DoT (that you can't interrupt), and that you have to get far enough away to be out of range. But my memory isn't full proof

Yeah he can be a pain for melee but I've killed him on the DK and another character before and never took that much damage.... especially considering it blew right thru the Ignore Pain effect. 12.5k a tic at that level is beyond normal damage. He didn't even finish channeling one cast of that ability before he died and it still built up insanely fast... oh well.
