Dead in Shadra'alor in Hinterlands Dem trolls mon. Ironbob I hope you mourn my dead body if you find it. I saw you there I bit off more than I could chew. I killed many headhunters, shadowhunters and pups untill the sheer mass of back to back attack made me loose all mana and all life. Now I see that Ironbob - the only other co-iron I'v eever met - fell to his death today - a sad day for Steamwheedle Cartel (EU). After raging and easting candy from my hidden stash, I'm ready to face the challenge again. I died this time from not following my own advice: Never turn your back to the enemy, and don't panic. Rustyfive stand ready to claim her sister's heritage. Later tonight I hope to hit lvl 10

March, 28: The Alliance Guards at Ford Wildervar didn't like Ironmistress (Earthen Ring EU) approaching their habitat. So they shot her in the back on her way to deliver a quest that would have leveled her to 74. March, 29: Her cousin Xorothul has been sent to recover Ironmistress's body.

Oh, Little Arimie... you just had to get cocky near Darkshire and try to take 2 worgen. It wasn't a problem. Untill that 3rd one popped up to join the fun. >,> Honestly, I've had more fun ingame over the last 2 days since I began this challenge than I have for quite some time. I lectured myself sternly as I recreated my second attempt. And away we go yet again!

My first significant death was at 24. It ruined my day. My second was at 28 and I realized that I was getting emotionally involved with my toons. Much more so than I have been with my 85s, some of which I have been playing since launch. The feeling of helplessness that hit me when I realized that a toon was surrounded with no exit and doomed had me wondering if this challenge was a good idea.
My attitude has changed lately. Hopefully for the better. When 'pipe fell to inattention, fatigue and a bad decision, I became angry. I became angry with myself for not playing well. I have a much clearer perspective and increased resolve. I currently have a hunter and a rogue at 34 and am reminding myself frequently to check and plan and scan the horizon. (And not to try and outstun a giant basilisk without first checking poisons)
I doubt that I will ever get an irontoon to 85, but if I get one to 60 I'm having a figureprint made. This is, of course, just a game. I will continue until I earn a trophy.

Not rage, only sadness.
My brave and beautiful druid Ferrestella died on April 2 to a Darkcrest Sorceress (naga) in Zangarmarsh.
She was 61, the first of mine to try this. She was doing wonderfully well in the Marsh, one of my own favorite places.
But I completely forgot that these naga can cast a Frozen Circle, which took her from full health (with a ticking Rejuv) to under 300 health in less than 2 seconds (while freezing her in place). So she paid the price for my moment of bad judgment in choosing whom to attack.
It was an amazing journey to 61. She achieved her dream of becoming a bird to soar over the Marsh, and died doing the things she had wanted to do.
For me, everything old was new when seen thru her eyes. The world a beautiful and dangerous place.
Her druid sister Ferreskyye (13) takes up where she had to leave off.

Well I haven't got to a high enough level to get too upset when/if I die I guess.
My first attempt died at 17 - I've always had a thing for Humar the Pridelord, so as I was passing by the area I checked and there he was! Unfortunately I was in my old mode of rush-rush-rush still and didn't clear the area first. Abandoned my current pet & started the tame, but since Humar is level 18 and I was only level 17 it obviously didn't work. Tried to bolt and agrod several other mobs who quickly pwnt me.
Oh well, lesson learned. Maybe once I get past 60 I'll get upset, but my attitude about this game is this: it's a timesink. I will do my best to play well, but I will make mistakes, so why get angry about it? Just try to learn from them and move on. It's about the journey and not the destination.
Sorry to hear about your death though, it does hurt, especially if it's like mine and from pure stupidity or lack of focus.

Rigth after telling hubby, that it was soo good being on a not so populated server as you know who you had killed, and thus be able to not be run over by respawns. Talking of Nemesis! I looke at "who" And sure enough 4 more players in my level realm online. GRRRRRRR! Draninae stands ready to carry the torch. See you on the challenger list at lvl 10.

"Ferrestella", what an excellent sounding name. Superbly mellifluous.
