Was doing so well... Dead at 39. Eaten in one bite (while stealthed) by an Enraged Felbat, which came out of nowhere in Andorhal WPL.
[Edit] Apparently I strayed too close to the horde camp. I should probably do some scouting of the redesigned zones before going in. I haven't leveled up a new toon in a couple of years and don't know the zone as well as I used to. Foolish me.

Ha..Real Life causes most of mine..I experienced magic Death today..now you see her..**Exit Now**....**Login**...Now You Don't... dead. *sigh*
The lesson here, kids, is when said other half shows up and starts grumping/whining/giving orders...quit until house has calmed down...
**and quit in a very safe spot**

First try and finaly Tinironman lasted 8 days... RIP He died at lvl 29 fighting an elite mob for a quest. I have to remember this one not to redo the same mistake. I was too confident in my toon. sigh

Hahaha I can beat you all..had redone Rustycross, blood elf priest, picked up my first quest, killing mana wyrms, lalalala, all good. I stand in one spot and smite, smite , smite...get a guild invite. Thinking it was the Horde Ironman guild, Cult of Iron, I accepted it. Nope, it was from a regular guild, so I fumbled around to leave the guild, and in doing so, was killed by a ..level 1 mana wyrm..hahaha

Now I have to make a decision. I have an old "living far away in the countryside"-internet connexion, which disconnects us from the whole internet like "chop" for any amount of time lasting from mere seconds to yesterdays record of 1½ hours. Due to this I'll never make it to lvl 85. Do I give up? or do I say that deaths due to DC, where I know I would have survived, e.g. taking on one green or grey level mob in a clear area with full mana and HP, do not count? That's my question. That way I can prove to myself that it IS possible to level an iron-paladin, but never to this list or the world, as my bad connexion will always kill me sooner or later. All my tries so far, all are female Draenei paladins. First try: Rustypal. Died at level 20 to her 3rd DC fighting one low level naga just after drinking milk. Second try. Rustypally #1: level 7. Doorbell rang, I was distracted = dead. Third and fourth try Rustypally #2 and #3: Dead at low levels due to DC Fifth try Rustypally #4: Died to trolls in Hinterlands at 32 after surviving 8 DCs. Sixth try Rustyfive: Died to respawns at 22 after surviving 3 DC's. Seventh try Draninae: Died at 23 to a low level during her 5th DC.

And so I tried levelling a dead iron toon. It can not happen. Draninae succumbed to a death wish and Dal Bloodclaw www.wowhead.com/npc=3987 was all too eager to help her to the next world.

try short runs..I used to have that kind of connection..one level a day or so, safe spots, no rares..we used to have trouble on holidays, sundays, evenings, when a lot of people get on and cause traffic. Pick times that are quieter, early mornings (before business people cause traffic), and watch the after school traffic...we used to joke about Sundays, when everyone was sending pictures to Grandma and my son would try to raid....so pick your times and think about traffic...

I wish it was that easy. It's the cables that are old and worn out I think. Today between 9 and 12 am. I had 3 DCs. 2 each 2-5 minutes duration, 1 for more than half an hour. Since 1 pm. everything has been smooth sailing, and my sons playing There's as far as I can see no reason to why or when it happens. And I get absolutely no warning lag or anything. It's just now there's net, now there's not. No. I have to reconsider. Either I'll stop doing Ironman at all, or I'll do it private-like with only my own honour and conscience telling me when I am truly dead. And I'll be truly sorry to quit. I have tried longer than this ironman-challenge to level a toon without dying, never succeeding, though.

My last Ironman toon died at 65 .... That was a horrible death also, It was from an escort quest in Aucindoun in Terokkar forest. Hopfully my new mage wont fall to the same fate, I'm currently 64 on it, And am still going strong! Wish me luck =D!

it is a personal challenge, after all.. Yes it is. But the strange thing is that knowing you're not on the list of the livnig any longer removes a great part of the feeling
