Started dabbling on priest again. She's on Proudmoore, and was 32 in STV. I thought about starting a new one on Wyrmrest, but she is rich for an iron. Last year when I made her, at about this same time, I was gathering 500 eggs to buy & sell a mount. Well, I got a mount from about the 450'th egg. So I continued for the last 50 eggs & got 2 mounts. Now she has 9.4k gold, sufficient to carry her to retirement at 90.
My technique at this point is to pull at max distance with smite, dot with pain while moving backwards until gcd for smite is up, renew only after I start taking enough damage so as not to waste any ticks, shield if renew isn't doing the full job. If its a boss mob, I reapply pain as necessary. If I need to pull mob to me because of close patting mobs, I pull with pain. In the case of the panthers in STV that are stealthed until I am on top of them and hit a lot harder than other mobs in the zone, I had to almost immediately renew & shield at the start of the encounter. So far, a stealthed panther had shown up right after I had engaged a tiger, and although it consumed a lot of mana, it went reasonably well.

Level 38 Desolace???
Think I normally get here at 37. Not sure how priest got so high unless I did a few holiday dailies last year. But I think I would like to be level 39 before going to Feralas, so I'm off to the long trip from Ratchet to Desolace. At least I will have a few fp's should I ever need them later. Also, there's a boss fight here that has 2 side kicks, so it will be interesting. I'll probably take out the boss & shadowmeld, dang lazy girl that I am. Nothing too heavy in this zone except a few runners. Might only stay here until 39.
Edit: Stayed in Desolace just up to getting friendly with Gelkis, which dinged me to 39.

Level 39 Feralas
Yeti's hit a little harder than all the other mobs so far. For them it seemed more efficient to just bubble as they were hitting me harder than renew could keep up with.
Ruins of Feathermoon is a pain if u need to eat or drink. Fighting a naga put me in battle with another unknown one. I was on a last mob before I would have to take the flight out of there as I was almost oom. Then as luck would have it, I dinged, & woot, full mana. Then I was on a last one before I would be oom, and luck shined on me again, it was the one I had picked up agro with, so after killing him, I was able to drink. The rare, Lady, was there as was the chest. Also, the demon rare had spawned while I was fighting yeti's, so got him too.OK, I'm feeling lucky.
It seems priest kills faster than monk. Most mobs seem to be dyeing just after sw:p wears off, about 19 sec. In addition, I end the fight with full hp and at least 3/4 mana, which regens very quickly out of battle, so I'm not needing to drink as frequently as monk has to eat. I'm hopeful that the end portion of Wintersprings isn't going to be the terror that it had been on monk.
Some of the more difficult fights are on my mind such as the bug boss in Ungoro. Pally wasn't able to kill him, but luckily I found out the easy way. I was dutifully waiting my turn to kill it, but when the toon fighting it started to get close to death, I jumped in to the rescue. Wow, boss was almost dead when I jumped in, and so was pally when it went down. So I never tried it again on anything other than hunter who had no problem with it. Pretty sure I wont be able to kill the boss in the hive in Silithus. I wont have the dps to overcome her endless mana & heals. Scorpion boss is Silithus is a little worrisome. Monk was able to keep it cc'd when hp was low. It was a very, very long fight. Hunter had no problem with it, & neither did pally (before nerf). Oh well, those bosses are a long way off.

Level 45 Thousand Needles
Didn't get to 46 before coming here, but I did ding shortly after. Still not comfortable with priest. Just something not right with a class that isn't suppose to get hit, yet getting beat on. It wasn't until after my pally did the well quest here that I read on the forums she isn't suppose to do it. We'll see how the priest fairs.
Wow, the oil digging quest was phenomenally easy. Second only to or equal with hunter. Mobs went down very fast & since I was taking very little damage, instead of bubbling, I just used renew as needed. I had dinged 47 just before the quest. The last group, which can be trying, I used shadowfiend cuz he has amazing dps for the 12 seconds he's up. I'm so impressed with priest that I contemplated doing the bosses at Freewind. The problem with my pally was I couldn't do enough damage (before nerf) that the npc would die and then I almost died, but luckily, the npc had spawned again. With bubble, I don't think the boss can kill priest, but I would be putting a lot of faith in the npc spawning again or going oom. So, sad to say I must not take the risk.
47 and 12 bars. Off to Badlands.

Level 47 Badlands
I save the quest, "The Battle for Andorhal", at BB so that I have a portal to get me close to Lights Hope Chapel to get the quest that takes me to Badlands. I get few fp & a lot of discovery xp on the way. While I'm on the rocket to Badlands, I get discovery xp for everything I fly over.
Zone was uneventful. I was able to kill everything. The dwarves were especially easy as sw: death killed them before they ran or immediately after. Someone cleared a path in Angor Fortress, & as soon as I got to the fire elemental boss, he engaged it. I felt it my duty to assist in the fight. He had already cleared the way out, making this quest exceptionally easy. I did find 3 rares. They were all yellow. Mana intensive fights, but priest took no damage & won.
As usual, I don't do the phasing quests here. I stop after doing the Deathwing chain.
Ended zone 49 & 6 bars.

Level 49 Tanaris Wow, priest is really starting to impress me. The quest, "Secrets in the Oasis" is a nasty quest. I could do it on my hunter, but I think I had to us phoenix to rez pet. On pally, my hp got so low, the icon started flashing, & I had to bubble & run. The boss does a ww that is sure to kill all mdps. I had a lot of faith & confidence in pw:shiled holding out. It did. One time it might have broke because I couldn't immediately reapply it, so I renewed. I also chose to use shadowfiend for the added dps. All this worked, boss went down, although it was very scary. In case it wasn't going to work, I had planned out an escape. I wouldn't wait until hp started dropping, instead if it looked like I wasn't going to win, I would run. Shield, renew, psychic scream. I wouldn't wait until mana or hp was low, I would just turn & run, screaming like a little girl. I leveled a priest in cata. She was absolutely the most miserable class for me to level. But as ironmans go, she is right up there. Way easier than monk. At least equal with druid & perhaps even equal with hunter. However, she has no fun abilities like Monk's touch of death & paralysis, and Druid's instant flight form & stealth, and hunter's feign death & traps & pet. But at this point, even though she has no fun abilities, she hasn't needed them Omg, I just did the blimp quest in Tanaris. Was shaking the whole time. But I decided to risk it in hopes that levitate would save me should the blimp dump me without a parachute. I had a backup plan incase it dumped me on a ship. Shield, run, renew. Wow, nerves are shot after that quest. Lost Rigger cove, the next quest hub, isn't without it's risks. I have V key activated so I can see mobs. On one toon I did the quests there, I swear, as soon as I boarded the boat there, every mob on the boat came running for me. Needless to say, they clobbered me. There's also a boss there that spawns an add. And sometimes those elites there get very mad & turn against u. Farther in to the area, those pirates hit pretty hard. They also rope you to them. And I believe at certain spots, you have 2 to fight. Something to think about. The route I take now doesn't really require that I go further in the Tanaris quests. Felwood is 45-50 and I just dinged 50. And I still have the south end of Tanaris to do. Undecided as of now. I will decide tomorrow. Decided to continue in Tanaris. Went to lost cove. Just did the first 2 there. Had to fight mobs with someone farming pirates. After that, I had enough, & figured continuing on would just take more time than was necessary.

Level 50 Felwood
Uneventful other than amazed at the priest's dps. Only found one two rares here. Furbolgs don't terrorize me with the curse that significantly decreases healing. I just use shield if I'm cursed. They were nightmare for pally and monk. The have precious little heals, so this curse made them really tough, especially on pally.
My rotation as evolved & may evolve again. But generally I pull with smite, then smite, sw:pain, smite, smite (however many it takes), renew, smite (if necessary), sw:death' In other words, smite X2, pain, smite until death is ready. Then somewhere in there, I throw in a renew if necessary. If renew can't keep me at full hp, then I might use shield instead.
For boss fights, I use shield & refresh pain when necessary. I also use shadowfiend. He is amazing for the 12 seconds he's up. I'm almost inclined to say he cuts the time of the fight in half. Speaking of shadowfiend, he doesn't give a significant amount of mana back, 3%, yuck. So I pretty much only use him for boss fights & my oh crap button, oh crap, forgot to drink, oh crap, add showed up while I was low on mana, oh crap, mob beating the tar out of me.
Got to 53 and 16 bars.

Level 53 Wintersprings
Had an issue with yeti boss in cave. I gave him all I had, including shadowfiend. He has a nasty knockback. I didn't realize it, but every time he knocked me back, he flung me on a ledge, & when he did that, he gained part of his hp back. Soon my mana was almost depleted & he still had 1/2 hp. That's when I saw what was happening. Shadowmeld for the win. While waiting for shadowfiend to come off cd, someone killed boss & proceeded out of the cave. Boss was fairly easy to take down after I put my back up to a different wall. Then off to killing yeti & collecting ice. Why does blizz have 3 share the same spawn point? Just before I'd down one, another would spawn, then before he was down, another would spawn. Wasn't sure how many more would come or how much longer my mana could hold out. Luckily, it was only the 3.
Ok, those slime. They really, really suck. Knowing the next group would be 3 ravagers, I decided to save shadowfiend. I pulled with smite X2, quickly dotted it, then dotted the other 2. They quickly broke shield. Hp going down, renew. Shield finally off cd, shield. Then they quickly broke shield, and I repeated the process. That was so not fun. Ravagers went a little differently. I pulled with smite X2, dotted, shielded, sent in shadowfiend, mob dead, moved to next, dotted, smite until dead, dotted, smite until dead. Boom, over, full hp & almost full mana. I then moved on to the boss, waited for shadowfiend to be off cd & quickly killed him. So, I'm beginning to think priest isn't so op as I had thought.
Didn't find any rares. Every spot that had a rare potential seemed to be camped by a 90. I think I'm missing something here. Sure the drops from these rares can't possibly cost so much on the ah that they could just buy it & make better use of their time?
Saved a level 45 druid's butt who was fighting Braurman (sp). Surely even a boa geared toon cant possibly think a mob 13 levels higher is doable?? And once I killed it, you'd think he'd at least say thank you?? I should have just rezzed him rofl.
So it really stunk to ding 55 here & only have level 45 water. I think ungoro vendors don't sell 55 water either, so I have to stop at sw & pick some up.
Finished at level 57 and 13 bars. Been a long day. I sure hope I can finish Ungoro tonight.

Level 57 Ungoro
Well, it seems priest picks up the pace once she dinged 58. She was killing mobs so fast that I questioned my use of sw:pain, although I sorta use it as a security blanket. All bosses went down in seconds with shadowfiend. So quickly actually that even when I had an add such as with the gorilla boss, boom, they both were dead. So, it would seem that it's best to wait until level 58 to do the last quest hub in Wintersprings because those owl beasts were horribly hard to kill. But after level 58 in Ungoro, nothing was hard.
I did learn to dismiss Maximillian after I picked up his quests. And after I got the 8 bones & 15 dino's killed, he would spawn & we could continue on without the little bugger picking on the elites.
I suspect priest could kill the bug boss that is considered a group quest. My hunter could with no difficulties. But I decided it wasn't worth the risk. So if anyone has any experience with this boss, I would sure like to know which classes can down it. For the record, Pally cant.
Priest is now 59 and 5 bars, and no rest. I really would like to get a little bit higher so I can fly in Blasted Lands shortly after getting there. I would also like to be at least 62 before going to Outlands, which wont happen unless I complete Blasted Lands & Silithus with rest. So, alas, it is time to slip into the shadows & rest my weary bones in the company of my faithful Winterspring Cub.

Level 59-15/20 Blasted Lands Been doing the daily & farming rares in Wintersprings. Have a total of 6 dailies done. Found out there's no such thing as level 55 water, /cry. Priest continues to amaze me. She takes down rares & bosses in seconds thanks to my little fiend. She ends fights with full mana and hp. I was able to do Surwich almost effortlessly. I did make a small mistake & learned a little bit more about this fiend. I was to fight the last boss, Marl Wormthorn at Surwich. I had come to realize that it really isn't necessary to clear the mobs in there before fighting Marl, that is unless you send in the fiend first. Boom, 2 adds aggroed & fiend went down fast. So now I have the boss, albeit with fairly low hp, and 2 mobs. The priest ended the battle victoriously. She has my utmost admiration as an imc. I'm thinking with this little fiend by my side, I can down that boss in the hive of silithus, woot. I might as well try as I cannot cc the boss & I will need the scraping next to her. Quests: 790/3000 Blasted Lands: 35/35 Kills: 3277 Level 61 Silithus Wow, priest is certainly a tough little cookie atm. Successfully killed the boss in the Hive. I was a little worried when the boss did her first full heal. I knew if she didn't die before shadowfiend, I would never get her down. But wow, she's dead The scorpion boss went down fast & easy too. I was sooo tempted to try that elite that drops 10 twilight texts. My hunter could kill it, but it was tough. But I decided not to risk it even though I'm 99% sure I could have killed her. Just would suck to needlessly die at this level. One of the things I hate about Silithus is farming 20 of those texts for 2 different quests, so that made that elite very tasty. But better to live & grow old. 700 xp away from level 62. Quests: 812/3000 Silithus: 19/19 Kills: 3434

Level 62 Hellfire Peninsula
HFP was without troubles. Everything was fairly easy. My confidence in priest went way up. After dinging 64, I even did Natural Remedies, the rock giants, which I didn't do on druid until 67 or 68 because I wasn't sure I could do it at 64. Priest kills a lot faster than druid. Mobs go down in about 10 seconds. I just use PW:S now instead of renew. I continue to use PW:P because it gives me a lot of comfort & seems right. HFP got me to 64-3/20, but I didn't open flower daily nor do cub daily yet, which I am off to do now.
I have to decide which toon I want to concentrate leveling as it's really difficult to do 2 at the same time. I'm especially thinking about the long grind after Ice Crown. The druid has fun abilities--stealth, instant flight form, can cast flight while falling, & cant be dismounted in flight. The priest has nothing, unless one considers levitate fun. I think levitate would save me & give me the confidence to do hodir, but I wouldn't consider it a "fun" ability. But it sure is refreshing to be op. Hope she stays that way.

Level 66 Terorkkar
Been all over the zone doing the easier quests first. I wanted to be 67 before I went into the 2 tombs. At 67, I went into the first one & even did the escort quest. I think that escort quest depends a lot on luck, especially when u leave the tomb. There are 2 guards there, and after them, there could be 2 horse riders. It seems it depends on when the escort spawns his own 2 mobs. If he does it with the 2 guards or 2 horses, that's 4 or even more mobs on you. As soon as I came out of the tomb, I saw the 2 horse riders leave, and the npc engaged the 2 guards before he spawned the adds.
Before I did the quest, "Veil Rhaze: Unliving Evil", I wanted to make sure I had the boss (big bird in the air) quest. I figured if I were going to kill so many, I might as well clear to the boss. My success really depended on priest being able to kill the bird guys before they cast fear, which pally & monk (I think) could not. At this point, priest is killing all mobs in less than 15 seconds & bosses in less than 10 seconds, maybe in even less than 5 seconds with shadowfiend. The area went nicely. All mobs dead & no fear was cast.
Just completed "The Skettis Offensive" quest in Shatt where all those birds come after you. Wow, priest is so op. She one-shotted all the birds after applying pain, and then downed the boss in seconds. Wow, I am truly amazed. She is most definitely stronger than the druid, and perhaps even the hunter. The only thing that makes her more intimidating is her lack of cc, but so far that hasn't been a problem with the exception of the last cave in Wintersprings when the 3 slime & ravagers broke her shield. But even then, she won.
Quests: 1000/3000 Terokkar: 40/63 Kills: 4568
Dinged 68 just as I finished Terorkkar. Did the Dirt Harry quest in Shatt right after. As I suspected, the boss at Firewing Point took noticeably longer than any other boss so far. But he was still easy. I debated doing Private Weeks quests, but decided against them as they really are time consuming and oh so not fun.
Quests: 1019/3000 Terokkar: 56/63 Kills: 4647

The hardest thing about Nagrand was finding Durn alive. Even cho'war the Pillager went down within seconds. Of course it helped that the cave was cleared all the way to him. Got to 69 & 13 bars.
