I remembered doing the classic Ironman challenges a couple of years ago. I wasn't very good, and only got into the 40s maybe, but I had a lot of fun. I even started a pacifist character, but she was not an ironman character and died a lot. So, I was interested when a couple of days ago I checked this website on a whim and noticed that there were two new leaderboards and pacifist was one of them. Inspired I created a new pacifist, one that would be an Ironman. I knew it would be hard, but I was ready. If I had thought about it I would have started this journal when I created my character, but I didn't. I'll try to tell you how I reached level 24 to the best of my memory.
I choose a Night Elf Druid, because I felt that would give me the most benefit for a pacifist. Having stealth and a combat escape would be invaluable, so would being able to heal and having entangling roots. A rogue was a close second, but I'd have to look at my character, and I'm not too fond of the Night Elf models, so having animal forms that I'd never have to leave was preferable to me. I named her Miyra.
I decided to allow myself quests as long as they didn't have me kill anything, so, the first quest I picked up was one to loot a stone or something in the village filled with fulbrogs in Teldrassil. It was a bit dangerous, but I was lucky that another player was questing in the area so I was able to get the item without harm. That gave me one silver and a level, so I was now level 2. That was probably going to be the only time I would level quickly. I then got my two gathering professions, herbalism and mining. I knew from previous experience that the first 4 levels were where I was most likely to die. Luckily, I knew of a place where I could pick herbs and ores that was pretty safe. The Gnome starting area of New Tinkertown has a lot of herbs and ores, and the enemies are lower than level 4 and most are non-aggressive. So, I ran to Darnassus, took a boat to SW (completed the quests in SW to get a little more xp and silver) then took the tram to IF. At these low levels I couldn't afford to waste money on flight paths.
I had no real issue getting to level 4 in the relative safety of New Tinkertown. Main issue was spending about half an hour with my ore tracking turn off so I didn't see a lot of ore nodes. I had half the zone explored, but I decided to come back later once I was a little higher level. I probably could explore it safely, but I decided not to risk it. I returned to SW and started to explore Elwyn Forest. I like the forest, lost of ore nodes in the mountains and a fairly decent amount of herbs too. Also, not a lot of enemies guarding the nodes. Hitting level 6 was exciting and made the game much easier. I gained both catform and stealth. I proceeded to enter cat form and only left it when necessary.
I decided to return to Dun Morogh and finish up exploring the rest of the zone then I returned to Teldrassil. I had left the zone pretty much undone, so I picked up what quests I could. I found two large plants that gave quests when clicking on them, I thought there was one more, but I couldn't find it. I almost died looking for it in the southern most part of the map near Gnarlpine Hold. There are a ton more mobs that I remembered and I should not have explored there. At 8 I hit up the Azuremyst Isle. Nothing much happened. Not a whole lot of quests, but I was able to learn the Fulborg language, so that was nice I guess. Only got to 9 and a half when i got bored. I had a quest to go to Darkshore, so I decided to explore a bit there. It was a little higher level than I'd like, but I figured if I stayed in the northern part I should be fine. I was. No real quests, but a ton of herbs and ore. And I gained a level or two there.
My next zone was going to be Westfall, it was only a level 10-15 zone, so should have been safer than most other areas. It was, but it was also terrible for herbs and mining. So, I left Westfall and returned to Elwyn Forest, because it was safer and more XP. At level 14 I went to Loch Mordan. I wasn't as high of level as I would have liked but I was getting tired of Elwyn. I found the 6 parchments on the ground all around the zone and returned them for a 7th quest. From the quests alone I got a level. I was glad I had entangling roots and shadowmeld, I wouldn't have been able to get all the papers otherwise. I got to about 15 and a half and I decided to leave. The low level areas were too populated so there were no herbs, and the high level areas were too dangerous for my comfort.
I went to Bloodmyst and did a decent amount of quests there. I was surprised at how many I was able to do that didn't require me to kill anything. It actually wasn't bad for ore and herb gathering too. I stupidly wandered into the Cryocore to finish a quest to find a dead guy. While I survived I probably shouldn't have gone there. The mages there are dangerous. At 16 I gained travel form. And I noticed that if I put my stealth hotkey onto my caster form I can go straight from moose into stealth. That's nice. And probably going to be very useful.
After Bloodmyst I traveled to Darkshore and finished up exploring it. I meant to finish exploring Bloodmyst first, but I was halfway to Darkshore before I remembered I had two explore points left. Decided it wasn't worth it and continued on. Darkshore was uneventful mostly. I was bad and in the southern part picked up a quest from some dwarves to get a stone disk in the middle of some murlocs. Managed to get the disk and get out safely, but probably wouldn't do it again. There was a quest that I might have been able to do, I was supposed to observe some twilight hammer guys on a big statue(?) thing. But I couldn't figure out where I was supposed to go and I was afraid I was going to be seen so I decided to abandon the quest before I got killed.
I was almost level 20, but I decided that before I go into Ashenvale I should get to at least 21 and there was one more level 15-20 zone I could do. I returned once again to Stormwind to head over to Redridge mountains. Like Westfall, it wasn't that great for herb and ores. There were a couple of quests I could do. Once I did those and explored the zone I decided it wasn't worth it to stay and left. I did manage to make it to 21, but I would have preferred to get a few more levels before heading to Ashenvale.
Luckily, the zones from now on are all only 5 level difference, so it should be safer. No more being level 4 and finding level 10 enemies. However, the game now expects you to have gear so the enemies will hit much harder. I had considered saving money and not buying new gear, but even one point of armor is probably worth it. I picked up Archaeology but didn't have enough gold for a mount. Travel form is almost as fast as a mount, so I wasn't too upset. Had a couple of digsites in Ashenvale so I decided to do those. The digsites took longer to do than I liked and were also more dangerous than I liked. I might hold off on leveling archaeology until I'm a higher level. Or at least wait until I'm higher level than the zone I'm in so the enemies don't see me as quickly. The xp was ok, but I'm not sure it was worth it at these levels. I did get lucky and have a digsite spawn near forest song, which had no enemies what so ever. I liked that one. I also liked the gold I got from selling the artifacts. Gave me enough to buy my riding skill.
I managed to get from level 21 to 23 in Ashenvale. I was pleased with the amount of XP I got in that zone. However, I almost died. There is one quest near Raynewood Retreat where I was gathering the corpses of dead Dryads. I messed up and drew the attention of 3 orcs, they had sunder armor, and just one stack got rid of all my armor. If I hadn't have shadowmelded when I did, I would have died. I had about 25 health, and one more hit would have killed me. I was much more cautious after that. I didn't get all of ashenvale explored, there were a couple of places I felt weren't worth visiting. The XP wasn't worth it. Perhaps if I was a little higher of level I would have checked them out, but as it was I was still shaken from my near death experience.
After that I headed to Duskwood. There was a nice chain there to gather pages of a book. Other than that I didn't do many other quests. I'm not too fond of worgen enemies as they can leap and some even stealth, but I never felt like I was one hit from death. It did however get me to 24, which is where I am today. Like the other human zones, there were too many other people gathering herbs and ores so I decided to leave the zone. Since I finished all the quests and found all the exploration points in Duskwood, I'm now off to the Wetlands. Should be interesting. Hopefully since it is 20-25 it should be pretty easy.

Had a productive day yesterday, went from 24 to 27. Not bad. Didn't do much today.
First off, I went to the Wetlands. I had planned on not doing any more archaeology, but as I explored the wetlands I came upon a couple of sites and...they weren't that bad. I think the main difference was that I was level 24 instead of 20 so the enemies had a much larger range at where they saw my. I suppose that from now on, if I'm in the area and a couple of levels higher than the digsites I might consider doing them. In the future it might be necessary as they might turn out to be my best source of income. For personal reasons I have forbidden the use of the AH, so I am vendoring all the herbs and ore I collect. Money is a bit of a concern and the fact that the archaeology items give me a gold or two per completion might allow me to buy flying mounts in the future.
I also am not allowing myself to fish, but I can cook as long as it is veggies. I'll be leveling cooking mostly from the dailies I think. While I am allowing myself the cooking daily, I'll only do it if I actually wander out into the world afterwards and get more than twice the XP as the quest. I am not going to be solely leveling through the cooking cooking daily. I haven't picked up first aid since I can't buy cloth from the AH so I can't level it. So no bandages for me. I hope I don't end up regretting that decision in the future.
Unfortunately, the Wetlands is no longer a good place to gather minerals. Too much copper, and right now copper gives me only 10 xp, compared to the 200-220 I get from higher level ore. For now, Ashenvale might be superior since it has less copper and more tin. So, once I finished exploring and doing all the digsites in the Wetlands, I returned to Ashenvale and explored the digsites there. I hit level 27 and 150 archaeology at about the same time. As I was maxed out on archaeology skill I decided to return to Stormwind and get my next rank. I still haven't completely explored Ashenvale, and the missing explore points are bothering me, so I'll be heading back to to that and get the remaining digsites.
At Stormwind I decided to visit the Darkmoon faire. There are a couple of quests there for skinning, mining and archaology so I decided to turn them in. I also did the turtle ring toss, the shooting range and one race thing, but i have never done the race before and while it might not be dangerous, I decided not to do anymore. I'd rather not die to something really stupid like a race. Plus, the games didn't seem to give me any XP so I'm not sure it would be worth it. On the other hand, I could get a hilarious rubber(?) sword. I'll have to think it over. I did get a bag from the Faire for one ticket, it's twelve slots and it's a white item, too bad it is unique. Fortunately, because I'm not killing things, I don't have much inventory issues. But still, a practically free 12 slot bag isn't bad. Also got a pretty flower. Now I am duel wielding a flower and pickaxe to symbolize my professions.
I didn't realize it at the time, but I dodged a bullet in the faire. I was tempted to do the mole whacking game instead of the shooting range, but decided against it since it seemed more violent and my character is a pacifist. Turns out, if I had done it, it would have given me a kill. Now that would have been a bad way to fail.

Today was a pretty good day. Made over 40g and got 4 more levels to hit level 31. If I hit 40 I'll be able to afford my next rank of riding skill. Yay. Also, one more level and I'll be able to equip new leather armor and I'll finally have a hat to wear. I have already bought them so I don't have to return to town to buy them when I hit 32.
I started out the day in Darkmoon Faire. I saw some hints to sell the bag you get for one ticket back to the vendor and I decided to do it. I really need the gold. I think this might be because of the profession mission the faire offers, I had 17 tickets. Buying and selling them to the vendor got me 42g 50s. I had considered spending one ticket on a Last Years Mutton, but since I'm not doing a combat run, weapons are not a high priority for me. Also, as I was thinking it over, I considered the fact that I am such a pacifist that I won't kill fish, so would it really make sense for me to run around with meat in my hands? I think not. I'll keep my pick axe and flower or now.
Once I had that gold in my pockets I returned to Ashenvale. I wasn't quite done in the zone and I wanted to get to level 28 before I went to the next level of zones. It was only one more level so I hoped it wouldn't take too long. I did a little more archaeology and finally explored the two explore points that I was missing. It was rather uneventful, which is fine with me. There were three zones for me to choose from to go next, Stonetalon Mountains, Northern Stranglethorn Vale and Arathi Highlands. Since it was closest I choose Stonetalon.
Bleh. The enemies were mostly level 28-29 instead of 25-26 like I was hoping. Maybe I was just in the wrong parts of the zone and there were lower level areas I just didn't notice, but worst of all, it didn't give me much xp. I could have forgiven high level enemies if there were a decent number of quests and good herbs and ores, but the only quests I could do in the zone was the one to go to the zone and another to go to Desolace. And the ores were mostly tin with a bunch of copper mixed in. Copper only gives me 10xp, tin gives 200, but I was hoping for Iron which would give me over 200xp each node. Herbs were ok, but not great. None gave me less than 200, but I didn't get as many of the over 200xp herbs. One dig site gave me issues so I decided to leave it for later. The artifacts were too close to groups of mobs and I was afraid that I would pull whole groups. I pulled one enemy trying to dig for artifacts and he got me to half health much too quickly for my liking. So, I'll come back in 5-10 levels when they won't see me from as far away. I only got 3/4 of a level in stonetalon before I finished exploring everything. To be honest the herbs and ores in Ashenvale were just as good as Stonetalon, but the enemies were 5-10 levels lower. If I had realized how terrible Stonetalon was I would have just avoided it completely and did one more level in Ashenvale. I ended up finishing off my level in Ashenvale anyway.
I was so annoyed with Stonetalon that I decided to take a short break to rest and eat before I came back to level some more. I decided to head to Northern Stranglethorn Vale. I was hoping that it wouldn't be another Stonetalon. Luck shone upon me, because it wasn't. It actually was pretty good. I don't think there was a single copper node, and I actually found iron and a lot of silver, both of which gives me the full amount of xp. Which was something like 230 or 240. Tin is still worth mining if I see it but won't be for much longer. In a couple of levels I'm going to start seeing it give me less and less xp. The herbs were also quite good too. Lots of kingsblood which gives me full xp. Some bruiseweed which is like tin and capped at 200xp. But, the bruiseweed was mostly in the troll ruins guarded my lots of trolls so I mostly ignored it. I got two levels in Northern Stranglethorn Vale and ended up hitting level 31. Plus, I was actually able to do a couple of quests. There weren't a ton of quests, but it was more than none so I'm happy.
The main downside to the zone was that there were a lot of stealthed cats, they were mostly in the southern part where it is a bit more high level. But they actually didn't hurt too much, although cats do have a bleed to watch out for. That will break stealth. Luckily I was high enough level that I could usually see them before they could see me. I did have to shadowmeld from them once, but other than that I mostly avoided the stealth cat areas. Like in Stonetalon I did have to abandon a dig site for later. It was in a large troll area to the south where the enemies were around 28-30. The northern part of the zone is mostly level 25-26 enemies so I was pleased with that. I was able to gather herbs and ores in relative safety in most of the zone. Also, lots of large open areas for me to run away like the coward I am. Unlike Stonetalon's cramped canyons. Blech.
I am hoping Arathi has similar ore and herb compositions to NSTV. If there aren't as many stealthed enemies I might be leveling there for a couple of levels. If not, I'll be back in STV soon.

Started the day in Stormwind. Before heading up to Arathi Highlands I decided to do some errands around town. First I got the cooking daily to bake cookies for orphans, then I smelted all my ore for a couple of extra silver. I know that some people frown upon doing cooking dailies, but since as far as I can tell they aren't against the rules, I'm going to do them. I'm not going to log on just to do the dailies, and if I start to notice that most of my xp is coming from the cooking dailies I will stop, but as it is right now I see no harm in doing the cooking one before I head out to gather herbs and ores for for the day.
I went back to Harrison Jones to see if he would train me on my next tier of archaeology, but once again he told me no, I need to be level 35. Boo. After that disappointment I took the tram to Ironforge and prepared to head to Arathi. I could have taken a gryphon all the way from Stormwind but I wanted to save a couple of silver. I don't have a huge income and I would really like to get my mounts as soon as I can. Flying will make things so great, so I really want that as soon as I can get it. That's like, 225g though, and I have to get epic riding first which is 40. And because I'm not allowed to do quests where I kill things, my reputation isn't the greatest. My highest reps are honored. If I'm extremely lucky I might make it to revered by the time I can buy flying, but I'm not counting on it.
Before I made it to Arathi Highlands I noticed there was a digsite in Loch Mordan so I decided to stop off there first. If I hadn't been 10 levels higher than the enemies there it would have been difficult to do, but as it was I had no issues. What concerned me though was when I mined some tin. I noticed that instead of giving me the 200 xp like I expected it only gave me 160. That's...not good. I had planned on leveling until at least 33 before heading to the level 30-35 zones. If Arathi was filled with tin and lower level herbs I might have to head to the higher level zones earlier. I had planned on going back to STV if Arathi wasn't any good, but this messed up my plans. I might have to decide if I wanted to level quick or safe, and I wasn't sure which was going to do.
Filled with trepidation I entered Arathi and looked for my first node. Right near the entrance I found...MITHRIL? Oh, wow. I hadn't expected to see mithril yet, that was the tier after iron. This was great news. If the ore and herbs here were the higher level herbs I could level here a couple of levels before having to move on. Most of the nodes in Arathi were Iron, with only a couple being tin and Mithril and all the herbs there were all good. This was excellent news, my plans weren't ruined after all. I got one level in Arathi allowing me to equip my level 32 gear. I now had a sweet hat. Hoorah. Not sure how much a different the gear will make but, if it allows me to take one more hit while running away it will be worth it.
After I got the level I decided to go over to Hillsbrad Foothills. I had 2 dig sites there and it was a lower level zone so I had no issues digging up the artifacts there. It actually wasn't bad for ores and herbs, but the were all tin and briarthorn so I was getting about half the xp per node that I was in Arathi. Honestly, I probably should have went there instead of Stonetalon. Ah well. Lesson learned. If I was horde I'd go there instead of Ashenvale. Got half a level in Hillsbrad, not bad actually. More than I was expecting although the digsites helped a lot. I stood and looked at where Dalaran used to be. Lots of memories there of my first server. I miss the purple bubble.
I was getting tired when I returned Arathi to finish up my level. I was starting to go into autopilot mode, which is not good. Luckily I made it to 33 with no issues. Although, in my sleepy state I did muse a lot about the herb Khadgar's Whiskers. I wonder what they were called before they were named that. Khadgar isn't that old, he's like what 60 at most? So, what were they called before? I bet there are people who still call it by the old name. And why does the plant in my inventory look nothing like a whisker? I wonder what Khadgar feels about a plant being named after his beard. Whiskers is another name for a beard I think, right? Did he discover it? Was it considered a weed and he found a use for it? Or was it named after him when everyone thought he died going through the Dark Portal the first time? And why that plant? Is that why he saved off his beard? He didn't like that the one thing people know about him was his beard...not say his magical prowess? And now I'm going to have to look up the lore of the plant. Stupid sleepy self.

So, I did in fact, look up Khadgar's Whisker. Unfortunately, none of my questions were answered. I did find some fan lore that I might adopt. There was a post somewhere giving some descriptions of herbs, and basically it said that before Khadgar's Whisker was called that, it was called Sage's Whisker. I like that. Even if it isn't from Blizzard I'm going to adopt it as a personal cannon. Nothing about why Khadgar shaved, can't say I'm too surprised. Wowhead has a funny image for Khadgar's Whiskers, there were plants, plants, plants, and then...beard. I laughed. But now that Khadgar has shaved, jokes about gathering his beard instead of the herb are no longer going to make sense. That makes me sad.
Anyway, onto why you are probably reading this. My progress on Myira. Levels 34-35 were mostly uneventful. I started out in Arathi Highlands and made gained about 3/4 of a level before getting bored and heading up to the Hinterlands. Surprisingly, had few issues in the hinterlands, and was even able to get a few quests done. The enemies were a bit higher level than I liked, but I don't think anything was above my level. I never felt safe, but I didn't feel like I was in danger of dying. I had two digsites in the hinterlands. One of them was easy, despite being in a troll area. There were a number of people questing nearby and they killed most of the enemies. I had two quests and a dig site in Jintha'alor. I probably should not have attempted to do them, that area is basically an outdoor cave, and I made a promise to myself not to go into caves. I did the quests anyway. The main issue I had with them was the blood I needed just wouldn't spawn, I ended up having to go to the very top of the area to find any blood. I probably spend an hours or two in that area alone, and considering there were many herbs spawns, it really wasn't worth it.
There was a quest to burn some masks, I might have been able to do it, but I have been avoiding quests that require me to destroy things. Not because I don't feel it is a pacifist thing to do, but because I have no idea what Blizzard will decide is a kill, and I don't want to get a kill for burning an inanimate object. If I had another character high enough on the server I might have used it to test the quest, but I really didn't feel like it. It's not that much XP anyway.
I made it half way to 35 when I finished exploring the Hinterlands. Since the herbs and ores were basically the same as Arathi Highlands I decided to finish up my level there. The zone itself is a bit easier so I feel like I can gather more faster. Less running away from things since they don't see me in the first place. Once I hit 35 I went to Stormwind and picked up my next rank of archaeology. Finally Harrison Jones felt I was worthy enough to teach again.
From there, I took a 3-4 day break. I meant to post the previous stuff earlier, but I wanted to get a nice update and wasn't sure I would have enough with just two days. I forgot to take into account how wordy I can be.
So, today I had the time to play Miyra again. From Stormwind I went down to Cape of Stranglethorn. At least, that was my initial plan. I made to to Northern Stranglethorn, when I saw a I had a bunch of digsites nearby so I decided to do those first. Went to Redridge and did one there, then returned to Northern Stranglethorn and did three that popped up there. One was partially finished, but it was much easier now that the enemies were green. Between the digsites, rest XP, and gathering herbs and iron, I quickly got to level 36. Then, I went to the Cape like I had originally planned. The Cape was great, there were ores and herbs everywhere. Most of the enemies were level 30 only a few were level 33 which meant most places I went enemies didn't see me until I got real close. Only one slight problem. Iron is no longer giving full XP. The herbs in the Cape were fine, just Iron wasn't giving full XP. Won't be long before Iron won't be worth gathering. Well, I should be able to do two more zones before iron becomes completely worthless. Perhaps Southern Barrens or Desolace will have Mithril. I suspect they won't, I think Arathi Highlands was a strange anomaly. If I don't see Mithril soon, I'll have to just ignore mining for a while until the ores start giving me xp. For now, Iron is worth mining, it's only 20-30 xp less, but that will change soon.
I'm not sure what my plans are now. I'll probably see if I can get a level in both Southern Barrens and Desolace. If I can't get a full level, I should at least get half a level each. There are 2 digsites in Azshara that I'm tempted to go after, I'm just concerned that since that is where Goblins start once they get off the Goblin only areas that it will be too dangerous. I might have to have another character that I don't care if they die check it out first. I seem to remember there being a horde camp at the entrance that would kill any unsuspecting Alliance, but I can't remember if that changed after the shattering. Or, I could wait until flying when it should be much safer. No idea what I'll do.

Very quick Q... how do you pronounce your name? M-eye-rah M-ee-rah M-eye-ray M-ee-ray I pronounce my name M-eye-rah most of the time, but sometimes I use M-ee-rah. Mostly the first one though.

So, had a pretty good day today. Got 3 levels, one more than I had initially planned, meaning I hit level 40. Whoo. Faster mounted speed yay. Now it really will be worth it to mount up instead of running around in travel form...unless does travel form get faster too? I'll have to look into that.
So, to start out I had a previous ironman who had died but was of a similar level check out Azshara. It was surprisingly safe. While there was a horde camp near the entrance, it was far enough away that I did not have to worry about wandering into it. I suspect, that since the mobs that are around the entrance are all alliance night elves, that I got confused when I remembered it being dangerous. It would be dangerous to horde, which was what I was likely playing when exploring Azshara. Silly me. I am glad that I waited to dig up the dig sites though, one of them was in a bad spot. It's in an area where, if horde questers will have a group of companions with you, so the mobs travel in packs of 3-4. Luckily they were only level 17 or so, and so I had no issues avoiding them what so ever.
After that I decided to stop with archaeology and explore Southern Barrens. Southern Barrens wasn't too bad. A decent amount of quests, however herbs and ores were nowhere near as good as Cape of Stranglethorn. I did freak out a little when I did a quest to load a cannon. I don't know what I expected, but I turned the quest in and the cannon fired. Luckily it didn't kill anyone. I don't think that cannon actually does damage, but in hindsight I should have known better than to do a quest that requires me to fire a cannon to finish it. I finished up the barrens and got somewhere around a level from it. I was pleased with my progress. I had only expected to get half a level, but with the xp from the digsites, I had gotten over an entire level.
From the barrens I went back to Stonetalon to finish up the digsite that I had left unfinished then travel on to Desolace. The enemies at the digsite were no longer any issue. I did however have a huge scare in Stonetalon. After I finished my digsite on the southern portion of the map, I saw that one on the northern side opened up. Deciding to do it next, I figure out the shortest path was to go down the hill to the west. I remembered that were guards there but I thought they were low enough level that I could run by them without taking too much damage. I wasn't entirely wrong. While I took a bit more damage than I expected, they didn't get me below half health. That was when I noticed that THEY PUT MY INTO PVP!!! I freaked out. I stealthed. Ran behind a tree. Panicked some more. There was an alliance base nearby, so I decided to stealth into it. My thought was that if I hid in there any low level horde wouldn't attack me, and high level...well...I was in trouble if high level horde attacked. And they were more likely to attack a base, but horde seemed to be behaving at the time. Probably stealthing behind a tree in the middle of nowhere was a better idea, but like I said, I panicked. Thinking about it now, I should have hearthed into Stormwind. I could have hidden in a building where I would be unlikely to be attacked. However all worked out fine, no horde saw me and decided I looked good to kill. But still, that freaked me out a lot.
I finally made it to Desolace and started to explore and do quests. Like the Southern Barrens, Desolace has a decent amount of quests for a pacifist to do, however like the barrens it isn't particularly great for herbs and ores either. While the herbs and ores give ok xp, there just aren't a lot of them. After finishing Desolace I was halfway into 39. I considered returning to Cape of Stranglethorn to farm herbs, when I saw that there were a couple of digsites nearby in Ashenvale that I could easily do. I bounced around between Ashenvale, Stonetalon, and Desolace doing the archaeology digsites as they popped up. It got me to level 40 and as I looked over the artifacts I dug up I noted I had a tiny chest of tiny glass animals. I thought that was cute, then I saw the value. 100g. Wow. That just about doubled the amount of gold I had. I am very glad I didn't forbid myself from doing archaeology. After buying my riding skill and getting the next tier of leather, which I won't be able to wear until 45, I still have over 200g. I might be able to get flying right away. I'll need 500g total I think. Almost halfway there. Still have 20 levels and a lot of digsites left, so who knows, I might get lucky.

There were three zones I was interested in doing, Feralas, Western Plaguelands, and Dustwallow Marsh. I have heard that the enemies in Western Plagulands lean towards the higher end of the range, so I'll save it for last. I was closer Feralas, and even had a digsite along the way in Desolace, so I decided that I would try out Feralas first. I had hoped to see Mithril in Feralas, but unfortunately none was to be found. Before the shattering Feralas was a decent place to farm it, but not anymore. Too bad. Iron is swiftly becoming useless. Right now I got about half the xp I get from herbs in the same zone.
Leveling went quite fast, and with only one digsite and a quarter of a map explored, I found myself at 3/4 of a way into a level. At the top of the map in feralas is a lake with a lot of dragons around it. A TON of blindweed grows around the lake. I probably gathered 30 nodes in one lap. It is one of the safer parts of the zone since the dragons are level 35-36 and decently spaced out. Also, blind weed both gives me herbalism levels and max xp. In addition to the amazing amount of blindweed, there were also a decent amount of quests for me to do. There is a chain to...basically recruit various wildlife. All you do is a use a horn and the animal disappears to go back to a base or something. I didn't pay a lot of attention. Sometimes a poacher will appear after you use the horn but they can be ran away from. Overall, I was probably able to do about 7-8 quests maybe. Not bad at all. Even if the herbs were bad I'd say it would have made the zone worth exploring.
There were a couple of digsites in Feralas. One was in Diremaul, the other one the Ruins of Feathermoon. Both weren't too bad to excavate. The enemies were decently spaced, and for the most part, the artifacts didn't spawn underneath any enemies. Plus, on Feathermoon island I got a chest which was worth almost 5K xp. And a blue bow which is worthless, but still, that xp was more than most quests. And even digging only gives me about 1K per try. So, that was very nice. Overall I was happy with my choice. I made it to level 42 shortly after I finished exploring the whole zone. I finished up grinding to level 42 at the lake at the top of the zone. So, I got two levels one more than I expected.
In sad news, Khadgar's Whisker is no longer giving me full xp. Fortunately, Khadgar's Whisker is only giving about 20 xp less than blindweed, so it is still worth getting, unlike iron. I am hoping it stays decent for another 3 levels. I don't want to hit to 40-45 zones until I hit at least 45. If the two other 35-40 zones don't have good herbs or ores, which I'm afraid they won't, I'll probably end up just getting as much explore xp as I can and do whatever quests I can find, then spend the rest of the time alternating between digsites and running circles around the lake in Feralas until I hit 45. Fadeleaf isn't giving full xp either, but I hate that herb. It is so hard to find, it's always hiding under bushes and it takes me forever to find the stupid plant. I can't wait until I'm no longer finding it.
I just remembered that brewfest is going on. I should see what quests and stuff I can do with that. I remember there being a few quests I can probably do as a pacifist, and one or two that I definitely can't do. I will have to check it out later. Might get a me a level or two so I'll hopefully be able to push into a zone where the herbs and ores are giving me full xp. So brewfest might completely mess up my plans, but considering my plans were run circles around a lake for a couple of levels I'm completely fine with that.

Still alive! Just kinda slow on updating my progress. Been kinda busy the last couple of days.
I am currently 45, and now can wear the next level of leather. And I hate it. It is the worst looking gear ever. I had to turn off my hat, but the rest of the gear I can't fix. I tried transmogging it, but it isn't soulbound so I can't do that. Bleh. I might go back to my old stuff which didn't look as bad but I'm concerned that I will get hit too hard if I do so. I guess I will stick with this for as long as I can stand it.
So, getting to level 43 was...fun. Traveled to Dustwallow Marsh. I had been hoping that it would be ok, but it wasn't. It was terrible. I found like 4 herb nodes during the whole time I was there. And the most common thing I found was life root. Life root gave me like 65xp maybe. Blindweed gives 525. So, yeah. There were a couple of quests, but nothing spectacular. With the quests, exploration and one digsite, I got halfway into 43. Then I decided to go to Western Plaguelands. After Dustwallow I wasn't expecting much. I hoped it would be better and it was. Sorta. There were a bunch of low level herbs, such as liferoot, but I also found some blindweed. The enemies weren't too hard to deal with, since I was a couple levels over the max for the level. I got to level 43 and then some in Western Plaguelands, it wasn't great but better than Dustwallow so I couldn't complain much. I finished up my level back in Feralas. That lake is very boring. I suspect I will be running laps around it for a while. It's great when I'm the only one there, since by the time I finish my lap all the blindweed has respawned, but if anyone else is farming it sucks. I found out that the hard way.
I still had some ways to go till I leveled, but decided to hit Thousand Needles early. That was perhaps a larger waste of time than exploring Dustwallow. I miss old Thousand Needles that wasn't flooded. I couldn't even do the quest to get the barge and get the boat. I had to swim around. Luckily I have walrus form, but still, it was paaaainfully slow. Found Mithril though. Guess how much xp it gave me. Guess. If you guessed 65, the same as iron now gives me you'd be right. Great. Just great. Ore probably won't be worth mining until I hit the Outlands. Or if I find some really low level thorium, but I have no hope for that. I am going to be stuck in Feralas forever! Bright side, at least I found someplace that gives me xp that isn't terribly high level. I didn't even get to 44 from exploring Thousand Needles. Decided to get 44 in Feralas so I return to the lake again. While I was going for level 44 a high level horde with the awesome mount that allows you to mine and pick herbs while mounted flew around and picked all the blindweed. It sucked. I wish I had that mount. Except, I couldn't use it since I wouldn't have earned it on this character so...not so useful for me I guess.
The next day I leveled to 45 at the lake. Only took an hour, which is about how long it has been taking me to level, so, while boring, it at least isn't taking me longer to level than it should. After I hit 45 I returned to Stormwind. I heard Brewfest had started and I wanted to check it out. I did all the quests except the ram racing one and the one to disapate the elekks. I didn't feel like running around the world for the elekk quest. I had tested it on a different character, and none of the brewfest quests gave me any kills, so I could have done them if I wanted to, but I didn't want to. I hate the ram racing quest, I'm too good at it so it takes me like 10-15 minutes to complete. So I didn't even bother with that one. Ahem, wait no. The reason I didn't do the ram racing is because it can be cruel to the rams, pushing them to race that fast for so long. Yeah. That's it.
I was planning on hitting 46, but I got tired and quit early. I only have one level 40-45 zone now, and that is Western Plaguelands. So, that one zone is going to have to last me 5 levels. Great. I am not optimistic about the zone. While exploring Western Plaguelands I wandered in and...didn't find much different herbs than the other plagueland. Maybe farther from the entrance it gets better.
I might end up circling that lake until I stops giving me xp then head over to the nearby digsites. At least they always give me good xp.

I am not dead! Not yet anyway. Spent the last week doing stuff not related to WoW. I just didn't feel like playing any of my characters. Finally got motivated today. Two things motivated me, first was the WoW Challenges Podcast. It got me thinking about my pacifist again, and wanting to level some more. The second was the fact that someone else is actively leveling a pacifist and getting levels quite quickly. Trildynae almost out leveled me! It's quite impressive, they got 5 levels in one day. I have no idea where they came from...I hadn't noticed them on the board, and next thing I know they are my level. Now I must out level them!
I made it to 48 today. Went from 45 to 48, which isn't bad at all. I had been only doing 2 levels, but I had a lot of rest xp, so that really helped. I was going to do the harvest festival, but it finished today. Um, oops. Hopefully I won't need the food. So, instead I did a couple of brewfest quests. Didn't do ram racing, still don't like it. Will pretend I'm avoiding doing it because I don't want to whip rams. Yeah. Totally not because I hate it.
Anyway, after brewfest I headed north to Eastern Plaguelands. It...wasn't as bad as I feared. Lots of Sungrass, which gives good xp, as much as blindweed. And I didn't have trouble finding nodes, so honestly, it wasn't a bad zone. The lake in northern Feralas is safer, but it is also a much smaller area and if anyone else is picking herbs it will really cut into your xp. There are a decent amount of quests and while I couldn't do the major chain, most of the towers had one quest I could do, so that was nice. I didn't do the quest to get pamela's doll. I probably could have, but I remembered it spawned adds and I didn't feel like having to deal with them. Also, I couldn't remember if the item on the ground contained the item I wanted, or if I had to kill the enemies to get the item. Decided it wasn't worth it to find out and moved on.
Most of the other quest I could do were uneventful, except on to get a ledger in an inn for some...uh...crazy guy up north. I stealthed into the inn all the way to the top floor. I looked around the rooms, couldn't find the book. Started to move into the last room and almost had a heart attack as a huge stitched abominated spawned on top of me. Fortunately I was still stealthed and he did not see me, although he did make the I've been alearted to a steathed creature noise. I quickly backed out and waiting for my pulse to return to normal. Then I saw it, I saw the book in the far corner of the room behind the abomination. This would take some planning. First, I left stealth and waited for the 10 seconds until I could stealth again. Then, I rooted him and stealthed into the room around him. Once I was on top of the book I opened it and picked it up. I should have shadowmelded then and stealth out of the room, but I decided to just run out and shadowmeld before I went downstairs. As I ran by him, he...I dunno punched me so hard I flew through the air into the next room, taking off a good quarter of my health. I instantly shadowmelded when I landed and stealthed as soon as I could after. I am so glad I decided to root him. If he had been able to punch me a few more times I probably would have died. Those abominations hurt.
However, that was not the only time I almost died. Before that, I was up north at the Quel'lethen Lodge and I decided to do the archaeology digsite there. As I ran up the path to the lodge I thought it was kinda odd that there were no enemies around. But, it had been so long since I had been in the area that I couldn't remember if maybe there were no enemies since the cataclysm or if they might have all been dead because someone killed them. So, I kept an eye out. I reached to top, and was able to get about 4 of the 6 digs done when enemies all started spawning. First there was a pat in the center. I was able to avoid them, but I kept my eye out and continued to dig. Found one artifact with an enemy on top of it and more and more enemies were spawning so I couldn't run away. I rooted him dug up the artifact then shadowmelded. The smart thing to do next would have been to stealth out then and there. But, I am not smart. I decided to try for one more digsite. I surveyed one spot and was preparing to move when I saw the patrol in the center coming towards me. At the same time, up the path came another guy. And here I was in the center with no where to go. Nervously, I waited for my stealth cooldown to come up, and I only had a couple of seconds to go aaaaand...the patrol in the center saw me. Shadowmeld was still on cooldown and everyone had respawned. I had no choice. I had to run for it and hope for the best. Quickly, I started moving and cast renew on myself, then I pushed dash and ran as fast as I could down the hill. I tried to avoid enemies along the way, but in my mad dash most saw me and started chasing. I made it to the bottom where a player rogue saw me...and quickly stealthed. I think they saw the train of enemies behind me and decided that they were not going to die today. Luck was with me and I was able to make it to safety. I had half health when they stopped attacking me, which isn't terrible, but I'm certain that if I hadn't used dash they would have gotten a lot more hits in and I might not still be alive. I decided that I'd save the rest of the digsite until I was higher than 46. Much, much higher.
After that, Eastern Plaguelands was done. I decided to get a level or two with archaeology. I did most of the digsites in the low level zones, I'll save the higher level ones for later. Now that I am 48 I might head back to the lodge and see if the enemies are green. If they are I might be able to do the digsite without them seeing me. Or...maybe I'll wait a couple more levels. I haven't decided yet. I have decided to go to the badlands as it is a level 46-48 zone, and since I am 48 none of the enemies should be higher level than me. At least I'm hoping they aren't.
I went to Ironforge to prepare for my trip. Next time I play, if it is still brewfest I'll do the dailies before heading out. Did one last thing before logging off for the night, I changed my hair! I got some cute pigtails and changed the color to white, so it doesn't clash with my outfit so much. Cat form is a pretty white color, so I think I like that. Unfortunately, as of when I wrote this, the armory is not showing my new hair and my tabard which is kind of disappointing. Perhaps changing my hair was a waste of money, but at least I resisted the urge to buy a 25g white ring that does nothing other than cost 25g.

Well, been a while since I played. Been even longer since I wrote something. Uh, probably going to have a slight break...have other things I'm going to do, will however write up my progress from 48-50 while I can still vaguely remember what I did.
So, I did some more brewfest. Was planning on buying clothes, but never got around to it. So, no hat for me. Ah well. I didn't really want the clothes that much anyway. After I did brewfest I headed back to Eastern Plagulands. I wanted to go to the badlands, and I had a quest to fly there, from Light's Hope. Really silly. Would have been a shorter path to go from Ironforge to Badlands, buuuut I did have some stuff I wanted to do in the Plaguelands. I checked out the dig site in the northern part of the Plaguelands, but the enemies were still yellow so I decided to not go for it. Perhaps if someone was around and killing I would have finished up the digsite, but as it was I decided to leave it for later. I did all the easy digsites on the Northern part of the continent, then I took the flight down the the Badlands.
Badlands was...ok. Enemies were a bit harder than I would have liked, but nothing too terrible. Took me way to long to get an explore point around a horde base, had to get much too close to explore it, but I was able to do it without alerting the guards. Ores were terrible as expected. Herbs were...ok. Discovered that blindweed no longer gives max xp. It still gives pretty good xp, but it means I won't be able to gather it for much longer. Kind of disappointing, but not surprising. Did find golden Sansam which gave 25 more xp per node, but...rather rare and hard to find. Badlands had far too many low level herbs for my comfort. Both Dragons teeth and Fire Blossom gave less than 100xp each and those were some of the more common herbs. The good thing about the zone however, were the two digsites. Both were up north. One was near uldaman and the enemies around it were level 35. While they were pretty densely packed, they were so low of level than none saw me. The other one was at dustwind dig I think. I don't quite remember the name, but there were a lot of dark iron dwarves around it. They were level 45 enemies or so, but it was such a small digsite that it was pretty easy to complete, plus, lots of room to run away which is always good.
After the Badlands I headed over to Felwood. And I have to say, Felwood was awesome. Most the herbs gave me max xp, and there were plenty of them. There were also a couple of areas where there were no enemies at all but lots of herbs which was great. There was also an area packed with millions of imps. That was not so great. Was probably a terrible idea to stealth through them. It was a tense couple of minutes as I slowly moved through them hoping that no one would see me. Ores was terrible, but that's to be expected. On the other hand, there were a decent amount of quests. There was even one to basically walk 50 feet and talk to a statue that gave me like 6K xp. Or was it 9K? I don't remember. It was a a lot for doing very little. I avoided the quest the statue gave me to break bee hives. While it isn't killing this, I am leery of quests that require me to break things, since Blizzard has made those types of quests counts as kills before. I also got to wash some squirrels up north. Teehee. So cute. I will probably stay in Felwood for a little while longer.
On another note, I noticed that there is a lot of Gromsblood in Felwood and it gives full xp. There is a place in Ashenvale near some demons Felfire hill I believe, that also has Gromsblood. No idea how quickly it spawns, but if it spawns fast that might be a decent place to level. I might check it out again when I have a digsite in the area. But for now I think I will stay around Felwood. I don't remember what zones i have next, but it might be a while until I visit the next one. Or, I might get bored and pick up playing. I don't know. I would like to get to Outlands...

So, I claim that I am busy have other things to do, then the next day I go from level 50-55. Okay. Guess I didn't have as much to do as I thought. Heh. Go figure.
Level 50-55 was actually pretty uneventful. Spent a large portion of it in Felwood. Probably two to two and a half levels there. Other than the multiple times I wandered into the imp fields and the multiple times I went into Shatter Scar Vale where there are infernals who can see through stealth, I really didn't have any issues. For the most part I wasn't in too much danger, but every time I entered those areas I questioned my life choices and how I seemed to always find myself in the most dangerous parts of the zone. Did discover that if I hugged the wall I could run past the imps pretty safely, but I never felt comfortable in those parts of the zones. Luckily the enemies in Shatter Scar Vale are pretty far apart so if I was seen I could Dash to safety, but still avoid those parts of the zone.
At around 51 I got tired of Felwood and headed down to Tanaris. Did a couple of digsites along the way, but didn't go out of my way to find any. Was able to do a couple of quests in the zone. Seaside Salvage was a bit annoying because the boxes you collect are in the water surrounded by giants AND they have a large chance to spawn an enemy who kind of hurts. Was able to do it safely by going into travel form and swimming away as soon as I looted the box. It was ok as long as I kept an eye on the giants and made sure not to agro any.
I had two digsites in Tanaris, both were really easy. Broken Pillar has no enemies around so it is very safe, while Southmoon has a couple of enemies, most are busy fighting alliance npcs. There was also an easy quest to collect tablets at Southmoon. Yay easy xp. Overall, I probably got half a level in tanaris. Nothing spectacular, but honestly, more than I expected. The ores there are terrible, and shockingly, few herbs grow in deserts. Who knew. Main thing that grew was firebloom that gives less than 100xp per node, which considering I can get 700 for gromsblood, isn't that great. Main thing to worry about in Tanaris are the Noxious Tunnlers. They are giants worms that hide underground and can be hard to notice if you don't see the rumbling dirt. And...worst of all, they are elites. Luckily, I don't think they move once they surface, so they can be outran, but that was a bit more excitement than I was expecting.
After Tanaris I went to Stormwind. Got next ranks in herbalism, archaeology and mining then I visited the darkmoon fair. Considered doing the bag trick but decided against it. I have enough gold right now to buy my flying mounts so I don't really need the gold. Didn't do much there, but was able to get some decent xp from the three profession quests. Did a couple of games and made sure to avoid the whack a gnoll game since that would give me kills which is baaaaad.
After that went to Searing gorge. What a waste of time, got 1 bar from exploring the whole zone. Then I went to Burning Steeps and got another whole bar. Whoo. Enemies are too high of level and the ore and herbs are terrible. Do not recommend visiting unless you have a digsite or something. Returned to Felwood and leveled up some. Halfway to 55 I got tired of Felwood and decided to head down to Un'Goro. There were a ton of digsites along the way, so I figured I should get to 55 by the time I reached it. And what do you know, I did, by the time I reached Tanaris I had hit 55. I got tired for the night and stopped there. Planning on leveling some more today, but who knows when I'll write up my progress.
Some sad new today. I saw that Trildynae has died at 68. I was looking up the different pacifists and I saw that I was number one and I gasped in horror. There was only one reason I would be number one, and that would be is if they died. And they had. That's really sad. Her progress was really impressive. And now I noticed that Serenella died too. I recall the three of us hitting 50 on the same day, and I thought that was kind of neat. But I now seem to be the only one alive. How depressing, and concerning. I remember looking at their characters and seeing that they took a whole lot less damage than me, which means I am apparently more reckless. If the more careful players died, what hope do I have? I hope this didn't put them off of pacifists and they create new characters, I like the competition, it keeps me motivated.
I am impressed though, I see there is a level 32 Draenei monk Bluegrump. I am wishing them the best, that seems like it might be a more difficult class since it doesn't have stealth so I hope they go far.

Didn't quite hit 60 last night, only got to 59. Still 4 levels in one day is not bad at all. Probably played as much as I did the day before, but no rest xp this time. Did 2 digsites then headed over to Un'Goro first, I am hoping to get about one level a zone, but who know well that will work out. If I am unable to get any xp from these zones I might end up doing a lot of archaeology or spend a lot more time in Felwood. Initial thoughts on Un'goro were not positive. The center doesn't have a lot of herbs and ores, however once I got to the outer rim I decided Un'goro isn't bad. Finally got thorium, small throium only gives 400xp, however large thorium gives about 900xp. Nice. Finally ores are worth as much as herbs. There were a lot of quests in Un'goro, about...7 or more. I gathered crystals and took the temperature of the mountain in the center of the map. I found Ringo, but did not escort him, I do not do escort quests. Talked to Maxamillian and became his squire. I did not rescue maidens because I am not familiar with the quest. I was uncertain if Max would attack enemies and I do not want that. I picked up and dropped the maiden quest and Max continued to follow me. And buff me. I would remove buff and he would cast it again. I was quite aggravated, however logging in and out solved that issue and he left me alone from then on. Near Max was a goblin who gave me two quests to dig up bones. While in Terror Run I found a research camp with a quest and a Silken Chest that gave me 8K xp and a blue item I will sell on a different character. After the quests and exploration I was only a couple of bars from 56 so I spent some time farming herbs and ores till I reached 56. For the most part I didn't see any devilsaurs...except for the one that spawned right in front of me as I was heading towards some ores in the hills. Fortunately he didn't see me, but that got my heart a pumping a bit. I'm not fond of the ores being in the hills, since it is rather hard for me to get to them on a ground mount. I probably spent more time running at the mountains going, is this the path up? No? Is THIS the path up? No? Maybe it is over heeeere? And then I give up because I can't find the one way up into the nearly impassable mountains. At 56 I headed over to the swamp. I couldn't really remember much about it so I had no idea how good of a zone it would be. However I was feeling pretty good. Even if it was bad xp I did have Un'Goro to fall back on. Getting to the swamp took me through Searing Gorge, and I now has two digsites. Valley of Ashes is small, but has lots of dragonkin. I was high enough level I didn't have any issues but I wouldn't recommend doing it at level. Next site was north of Chiselgrip, it was also small and packed with enemies, but I felt I had a lot of room to run so it wan't too bad. Plus, there was someone questing nearby so they killed a lot of enemies. Entering Swamp of Sorrows was different that I remembered. I hadn't really played the zone since before Catacylsm, so going through Redridge Mountains to reach it was strange for me. I was used to Deadwind Pass with the evil high level birds of doom. It was actually rather safe to get into the Swamp. I am not upset about this change at all. The most exciting thing happened outside of Bogpaddle, and probably scared me more than the devilsaurs. I was gathing an herb when I hour a loud explosion and my character flew a couple of feet in the air. I remember thinking, "WTF? I'm dead. I just died. I just got killed." Turns out, there are mines around Bogpaddle. Luckily I did not die, and they did not hurt nearly as much as I expected them too. I was expecting them to one shot me, but only took a quarter of health. I was much more careful after that. Only 2 quests in the zone. One to collect Draenethyst crystals, and one to collect Prayerblossom. However, it is an excellent source of herbs. Lots and lots of Sorrowmoss in the streams. The herbs made up for the fact that there are no quests. I had been planning on falling back on Felwood or Un'Goro, but now if I need levels I will go to the Swamp. I easily got a level in the Swamp. Considered getting one more, but decided to go to Winterspring instead. If Winterspring was terrible I would return to the Swamp. Winterspring was easy to get to. Druids get a portal to moonglade, and from moonglade one can run through some caves straight into Winterspring. I had through that the Fulborog's there used to attack on sight until you got rep, but now I guess they don't? Or maybe the one of two quests in Felwood made them not hate me completely. I don't know. All I know is that it was safe to run through the cave. To be honest, I didn't like Winterspring much. There were a lot of quests, but I always felt like I was one step from falling to my death. You see, I have this issue. I like jumping off of things. I suspect my number one cause of death is death by falling. While druid's can take reduced damage by switching to cat form, sometimes that isn't enough, and if I fell off of some of the hills in Winterspring, even cat form wouldn't have saved me. On the one hand, I was very alert the whole time, sometimes I get careless but not today. However, being alert did not prevent me from making terrible decisions. There were a couple of quest in Winterspring. Some, Like Falling to Corruption and the Mystery Goo were easy enough. Then there was the one in Everlook where I just had to go outside and got an easy 4K xp for just walking 10 feet. You Gotta Have Eggs was trickier but do able. When you gather eggs a Chimera is angered and attacks, but if you root the closest Chimera that is usually the one that will attack and so makes the quest much safer. No, the worst thing I did was go to Starfall Village and accept the quest to go into Ban'thallow Barrow. I have a couple of rules. Avoid murlocs, and DO NOT GO IN CAVES. I went in a cave. I spent the whole time going, "This is a bad idea. Why am I doing this. WHY" I should have turned around, but I hate leaving things unfinished. Luckily, I was a few levels above the enemies, so I was able to stealth practically on top of them without them seeing me. But if I had been seen? I would have spent the next two minutes in a corner waiting for the cooldown on Shadowmeld before continuing on. It was worth it though. Through all the quests I probably got about 20K xp. However, I don't know if I would do it again. It was an unnecessary risk, and while it turn out alright it could have easily lead to my death. I reached 58 in winterspring and got a pleasant surprise. Apparently druid's get outland flying at 58. For free. That's about 250-300g I don't have to spend on flying. Whoo. I did not expect that. Unfortunately, I have to wait till 60 to get old world flying. Too bad, flying would make the next 2 levels fast. I decided to get level 59 through archaeology, and through an amazing string of luck, got about 10 digs in a row in Stranglethorn Vale. That was very very nice. One of the artifacts I dug up was an Imprint of a Kraken Tentacle, which was worth an amazing 200g. Nice. I should have enough to buy the next couple of ranks of flying. I am very pleased. It was getting late, and so I headed down to the Blasted Lands. Gathered a couple of herbs in the swamp, then entered. I did one quest to scout the ships on the shore, bought some nethergarde ale just in case i actually manage to get the quest in the outlands and parked at the inn for the night. I am hoping to hit 60 today, and when I do, I plan on going to the outlands. Hopefully it will be safe enough and I won't regret this decision. I am so excited. This is the highest I've ever gotten in a pacifist or an ironman. So exciting! I no longer have any idea what I'm doing! Previously I had a vague idea of what to do from my non-ironman pacifist and my plain ironmans, but now...it's all new. Soooo gonna die. At least I am very familiar with the zones and quests in the outlands. Edit: Thank you for the kind words Thistlemane. I am glad to have inspired you and I wish you luck on your pacifist!
