6/8/14 I purchased the dal staff & then farmed the cultists for a weapon. The hunter bow dropped after a few kills, go figure. But lucky for me, I only had to kill 56 mobs before my wotlk weapon dropped. Not as good as my cata one, but certainly better than the argent lance that I had equipped when I started Vashjir. Back to Vashjir.
Level 87 Vashjir
So, Vashjir glitched again. That stupid wall. This time the gm wasn't so helpful, but to no fault of his own. He logged my toon & found the npc to turn in the quest in the cave with the fp. He put my toon right next to the npc that I needed to turn in the quest. Unfortunately, when I logged my toon, the npc wasn't in the cave but behind that blasted wall. Eventually he got frustrated with me cuz when he was on my toon, he had access to the npc, but when I logged on, I didn't. So, finally, he turned in my quest and picked up the 2 follow up quests. After completing those 2, I couldn't turn them in because the npc was BEHIND THAT WALL! I opened another ticket. As it turned out, there was only one more quest behind that wall. So the next gm turned in my 2 quests & picked up the last one for me. Problem resolved.
I've been somewhat following ironcow's path to 90. Now I'm a little worried. He didn't start cata until 88 after Ice Crown mobs no longer gave xp. It seems after 88, he did Hyjal & Vashjir (up to that wall). I don't see where he did Deepholm, but I see where he did Uldum. By the time he did Uldum, he was already 89. So I have decided to save what little is left in vashir until I ding 88. Not sure what Deepholm will hold for me at 88, but if it's anything like it was when I went there at 87, it could be disastrous. Deepholm sucked & I don't look forward to going there.
6/11/14 Been doing dailies & grinding. Finally got to 88, so I'm now back at Vashjir. I'm 1-1/2 bars into 88 after doing the 3 iron dailies & up to the quest "It Will Come". The comments on wowhead are horrible, filled with doom, gloom, & death. So I checked to see what my first druid did regarding it. Unfortunately, no notation about it. I know I did it on hunter. So I checked our forums here. The only 2 who commented when I specifically asked about this quest were both ranged, and it seems the difficulty is for mdps. So unless any irons have additional details about this quest for mdps, I guess I am passing on it. It seems if I don't do this quest, I will lose out on an estimated 10 quests. Bummer. I hate not doing it.
Off to Deepholm at 88 and 1-1/2 bars. /Shiver

Level 88 Deepholm 6/12/14 Completed 11/110 quests here. Doing so gave me about 1/4 bar xp. My first druid completed 71/110, so I should be able to get that far before I have to really watch it. However, my first druid did get a cata weapon early in Hyjal I believe, whereas this only only has wotlk weapon. The zone is as hard as I remember it. It takes 3 rounds of combo points for mobs level 82 to down. I also need to drink after each kill lest an unexpected mob shows up & I am too low on mana to survive. I'm not sure how much of a difference getting to 88 made. I can see that level 88-89 is going to be excruciating. Still hoping to get to 89 before Midsummer Fire holiday is here. That would probably take many, many hours of grinding. Argent dailies only give 8k xp now, and the cultists are giving 1090 xp. So it would seem that it's only worth it to do the 2 cultist dailies when I grind. Interestingly this druid already has 100 more total quests done than my first druid. Not sure how that happened as I always follow my same route. Over time, I have modified my route, so maybe the first druid was started before then. Tomorrow is another day. 6/13/88 I have hit a brick wall. I have the quest, "Fragile Values" to do. I need to get the mallet off a trogg. Very worried about this quest as it entails 2 troggs & a possible baslik. I guess the only safe thing to do is to get my dead druid up to that quest & try it out. I didn't save any quest gear on that toon, so it will be painfully slow. That toon also has the cata weapon, whereas this one only has the wotlk staff. What may make it somewhat equal is tester might still be 87 by the time she gets to it. In the mean time, I have been grinding. I kill 200 cultists per hour. Ouch. I did learn that if I start my day grinding instead of ending the day with it, it doesn't seem quite as mind boggling, boring. Today I put in 2 hours of grinding compared to 1 way more painful hour last night. I did pass the quest that killed my first druid, now my tester. The tension was very high as I hunted down mobs that wouldn't eventually have a pat. Sometimes it entailed waiting for spawns. It took a very long time to kill 15 mobs I needed to finish the quest. I had to shadowmeld twice, once when I forgot to drink, and once when I got an add. At this point, I am not really sure if I can handle 2 mobs. I'm at level 83 mobs now, & they're beating the tar out of me, forcing me to use most of my mana. At this point, boss mobs don't seem to hit quite as hard, so even though they have more double the xp, my mana stays at a comfortable level. The only boss that gave me worry was the elemental boss in the cave at Silvermarsh. He spawned a bunch of adds, & my mana started getting low. I panicked. I started to dps down the adds, which was wrong as eventually they do despawn. I'm fairly certain even with my mistake of dps'ing the adds, I could have downed the boss, but a hunter got tired of waiting for me to finish, so he did so for me. Deepholm: 88/110 Kills: 18,889 Level 88-6/20, 30% Quick update: Decided to try the caterpillar on my tester. Although she has a better weapon, she is only level 87, so I believe that probably puts the 2 druids on equal playing grounds. Woot, tester was able to kill the caterpillar. I also decided to try one of the monkey looking humanoids that was level 84 with 108k xp. Woot, killed it too although I was almost oom. I will have to calculate the per hour xp with the caterpillar so that I can compare them with the cultists. With regards to the quest, "fragile values", I was able to do that successfully too. This is how I managed it. I rooted the trogg that was a side-kick. I then taunted the boss mob. As the boss mob ran towards me, the basilisk ran away. Because of how slowly I kill, I re-rooted the trogg, and then I killed the boss. Being the lazy girl that I am, I then shadowmelded to get out of battle with the rooted trogg. . So, do I continue questing in Deepholm or do I just go grind caterpillars? Well, one thing is for certain, I need to grind them for at least 1 hour so that I will know the hourly xp I will get if I grind them. The one thing that did sadden me is that I duel spec'ed my tester. The very first quest reward on the air ship taking me to Pandaria was a staff. But because I didn't have a spec chosen, it was only offering me caster staves. So I hearthed off the ship & duel spec'ed, and then I returned to the air ship. By turning in the quest in feral, I was able to get a feral staff. But, cry, now I will have a nasty red X next to my ex-honorable dead 87 druid. I so wish there was a way to be able to remove our toons. 6/16//14 Deepholm : 108/110 Kills: 19,188 level 88-13 1/2/20 I opened up Mop & have been farming the caterpillars. I can do 27 to 30 per hour, so it gives me double what I would get with wotlk dailies. Been finishing up Deepholm, and using my tester. My tester is level 87 but has a cata weapon. For the quest Therazane's Mercy, the boss High Priestess Lorthuna was easy & she didn't hit too hard. I just stayed inside her room & stayed out of her purple circles she casts. I seem to recall there was a mob on her platform, but I never saw him. But the other boss for that quest, Boldrich Stonerender, was a nightmare. I wasn't sure I could do him. I had to use shadowmeld on my tester because she was very close to dying & and the boss still had over 1/2 hp left. So I left & learned heavy embersilk first aid. The boss can be rooted. So I used Nature's Grasp & Entangling Roots when I need to heal/bandage up & regen more mana. The other bosses did less damage than I could regen mana to keep full. The last boss, boy, I thought I was going to die of old age before I downed her. Did I mention she has over 500k hp? Wow, not sure how my priest will ever manage to down her unless I regen mana fast enough to dps. So far, I've only did it on my tester. Again, I was able to keep full mana & hp. Just have to stay out of purple circles & hide when she does that nasty cast. Wowhead said a mage and a stone giant would help, but they didn't. Eventually, about 1/2 hp, the boss turns into an elemental, and shortly after, Therazane jumps in, keeps agro, & kills. I tried to get in the killing blow just incase that was required, but I didn't & it wasn't. Someone said that the dailies open up about 1/2 way through Deepholm, but they don't. I literally had to go to the end. The only quest I didn't do & isn't required for dailies is the glop. He is required to get the glop daily & maybe even the broodmother daily, but otherwise, he isn't required. Best not to do him because he is a big pain even for normal toons. 6/16/14 Omg, omg....The Robble's Wobbly Staff just dropped. Woot!!! Oh happy days!

Level 88 Uldum: 71/105
Nothing really to say about Uldum. I did skip the water cave boss that spawns the snakes. I also skipped the quest with the chained up npc that spawns waves of 2 or 3 mobs with the final one being an elite. I completed the quests at Schnottz's Landing. The quest for the bosses on the ships & for the armor were pretty scary. I recalled them being a big pain for hunter. I have started the quests at "Oasis of Vir'sar which is the last quest hub in Uldum that I can do, but I will probably just grind the rest of the way through in addition to doing the quests in Mop that I can also do. Somewhere, sometime I dinged 89, and I am now 89 & 3 bars.
Kills: 19,502 Quests: 2563/3000

Level 88 and 12 1/2 bars
I'm finished with most of the fires, and in the process, I did a lot of discovery in Twilight. I only have 2 left in mop & 2 left in cata. I have quested out halfhill, including the planting the scallion & turning it in the next day. And I also picked up that treasure for a very yummy 450k xp.
I did 'Snap Judgment' and 'Bottletoads' at the Pools of Purity in Valley of Four Winds. I also did another quest there that my priest didn't do, "The Golden Dream'. With the priest, I thought I had to drink a tea, & I wasn't willing to drink any potion from mop content. But, it turns out you don't, so I did it on druid. That being said, it would have been a pain to do it on priest as the quest item is all the way through all the turtles & next to a sleeping boss turtle. Druid was able to stealth to it. I had planned my escape of jumping off the cliff should looting it awaken the boss.
I have also completed the 2 quests, "Spitefire" & "Orchard Supplied Hardware", at Nectarbreeze Orchard.
I am debating doing the 2 very risky quests at Tian Monastery, the one with the rope & the one amongst the tigers. I did them on priest because of a lapse in judgment in going back to my old ways in taking unnecessary risks. So at this point, I'm not sure if I will do them or not. I haven't quested out Tian Monastery yet, so I'll decide when I get there.

I fear my days may be over. With only a few more mobs to kill, my computer over-heated & turned itself off. I fear when I finally log on, I will find my beloved druid dead.
Before I logged on this one last time, I contemplated just doing dailies tomorrow for the last bit of xp I needed. But in my heart, I didn't want to ding 90 by doing a daily, so I logged on to kill the last 45 mobs I needed. But I fear I will soon learn that I did not survive & will not ding 90.
Edit: A miracle of miracles, I live! Woot! Not sure how. The mob was close to going down, but so was I. By close, I mean I was almost oom. I remember checking my mana & comparing it with the mob's hp to see if I would have to shadowmeld. I remember thinking I would probably make it but that this was the last time I engage in a fight with my mana that low at the start. As soon as I had that thought, my computer turned off. Druids don't do well at auto attacking. The mob hits me way harder than I hit him. I sit here thinking of ways I could have survived the dc. One way is that I de-spawned before the mob could kill me. (How many times have we wished that would happen?) The other possibility is that I actually killed the mob before he could kill me, but I honestly think his hp was too high for that. This still is a possibility, although unlikely, because I think I had just did a hot before I dc'd. My brain is a little foggy regarding that from the utter shock & disbelief of a dc with only 15 mobs left to kill to level to 90. But miracle of miracles, I live!

Phew what a relief. I bet when you logged on your heart was racing? I was confident you would be fine though because I believe in the ironman god who looks over us all at least for one near death. For example I once stepped off a cliff to certain death but somehow managed to land on the smallest ledge to survive it. I was so happy that I pressed 's' to walk back from the ledge only to immediately step off it as I was facing the wrong way! Splat! The ironman god only gives you one chance. Seriously though I'm so relieved you got through it

Whew!! You have no idea how glad I am to see that your druid lives! I kept thinking NO, that would be too unfair! So no matter how you lived through it, I'm just relieved that you did!

STV: level 30
Making a new druid as a backup. I don't remember druid having so much difficulty pre-wod. I'm pretty sure my other druids did everything my hunter did, although perhaps a higher level. It seems I'm pulling with moonfire, applying rejuve, and then fighting. Well, I went to visit the Kurzen bosses. The first one got me to 1/2 hp. I seem to recall that one being the hardest. Well, got to the second boss, Chiev Caulus. Wow, at the beginning of the fight I was already down 1/2 hp. I was quite alarmed, but still thinking I could do it, probably, maybe. Well, there was some 100 there & the next thing I new the mob was dead & my hp was full. In a blink of an eye. (level 31 on this boss) I then went to boss #3. Well, changed my mind. I figured I'd wait until at least 32 with new gear. But now I'm not even sure I should do these bosses. Pre-wod I new exactly what to do, where to go, & how to do it. Now I'm not so sure any more.

I can only speak from the perspective of a warrior but www.wowhead.com/npc=43911/chief-gaulus is probably the hardest of the 4 because of his Strom Strike combo. ( Which isn´t listed as abilities on WoWhead for some reason ) www.wowhead.com/npc=43913/chief-miranda is more anoying than hard since she heals herself. The last one, www.wowhead.com/npc=43912/chief-esquivel is easy until he hits 20%-ish when he pops Recklessness so just keep him at bay with Entanglement/Wrath and you should be just fine.
