I started my adventure in HFP at level 65. I even completed the rock giant quests. As usual, I didn't do that exorcism quest. I have never done it before as I had been warned against it.
Now at 67, I'm headed off to Zangarmarsh. Since I had charms, I did the holiday dailies, but really, I don't see the point in doing them. So if I have the charms, I will do them, if not, I won't worry about them. My route is planned out, and is independent of any extracurricular activities except at pivotal points which, at this level, wouldn't be until after the completion of Outlands. It's my intentions to not start Northrend until at least level 74. Druid can probably handle it earlier as did hunter, but it sure makes things a lot easier to hold off. At level 68, a daily will open in Borean Tundra, and by the time I get to Northrend, I should be able to manage the daily in Howling Fjord although I don't usually start HF until I am done with BT, so it won't be available right a way.
My first druid I made died in Nagrand due to dc. I wasn't in battle when I dc'd, but one of those air elementals found me as I was logging back in & killed me during the process. So should I have a need of a tester, she is there waiting to be called to duty. At this point, it's safe to assume that if my pally could do something. then the druid can too, and then some. A druid has way better heals & dps then poor pally.
Should I die in this endeavor, my successor will continue journaling at the point I leave off unless something noteworthy happens before hand.

Zangarmarsh completed with no mishaps. I elected to go in the cave in spite of the phantom mob. Fortunately for me he was no where to be seen. Wow, did the boss and his 2 side kicks in the cave. Druid is a tough little cookie. Even thinking she is as good as hunter. Maybe that will change the higher she gets. I also did the 2 naga bosses. The trick to disabling the pumps is to just fly down to it & not worry about clearing the way to it. There are more pats to clearing, making it more difficult. I was able to complete all quests.

Wow, my dreaded zone, Terokkar Forest, was a breeze. Druid has some nice abilities that greatly increase survivability like stealth & instant flight form. I completed most of the zone with the exception of the Big Worm quest line and other nasty ones there. I'm a level higher than I normally am at this zone, so I figured no point in risking it. I also skipped the big boss bird near the dreaded bird people. Brings back too many bad memories of my 67 pally's demise when I failed to interrupt a fear. Druid was able to kill those bird people before they casted or completed cast of the fear, but still a big pain to have to clear the area to summon down the boss. But then again, these are quests that I normally skip anyway, so Druid did everything my hunter did.

Level 70 and going to Nagrand
This is the first time I've ever hit 70 before going to Nagrand thanks to doing just a few days of the Holiday event. At level 68, I started doing the one daily in Borean Tundra. At level 70, I started doing 5 dailies on the Isle of Quel'Danas. I'm passing on the Naga, Belfs, and Demons even though my hunter was able to do them at level 70. I have also started doing one the Multiphase Survey daily. The one daily where you phase and go after mana worms is somewhat hard on mdps, so not sure I will ever do that one. The daily in Netherstorm is just too far away to worry about it right now. I will wait until I get there, perhaps.
I'm really amazed at how powerful Druid is. Maybe I see her more powerful than she really is coming from a Pally. I can see a risk in getting too cocky on Druid.

Nagrand is finished. Did everything I normally do without issue. The only difficulty was having Haala to turn in my tokens. Didn't get as many tokens as I normally get as, being a druid, I can stealth past mobs. But there was one small window of opportunity that I was able to turn in the Haala tokens. Did all quests there with the exception of doing the boss that needs to be summoned with skulls. Some of the achievement zone quests come from SMV, so I am at 65/75 quests completed.

Blade's Edge, Level 72
Beginning to question my sanity. I have been doing most quests here, including the ones I normally skip such as the bird people and Blackwing Coven quests. Started the daily Bash'ir Landing. Those mana worms aren't doing as much damage to me as I thought they would. Was 73 when I did the daily. I'm almost done with Blade's Edge. A little torn between staying in Outlands or moving on to Northrend. Pally didn't go to Northrend until 75, but not sure if that's necessary on druid. Netherstorm is harder than Northrend. And then there's SMV. Not many I do there. Early in the zone is a mechanical quest that terrorized me in BC. I've never done it on an ironman, and without it, I cannot progress in SMV. The dilemma is the longer I stay in Outlands, the lower the xp will be for mobs & quests in Northrend. Delaying it will make Northrend easier. Pretty sure I will out-level the start zones since there are two. Sigh, decisions, decisions.
I am running out of rest, only 5 bars left.

Level 74
I have 1 1/2 bars to go before 75, so I have decided to head to Northrend to open up the walrus daily, and the head over to Borrean Tundra to begin questing.
I ended up with 65/86 quests in Blade's Edge and 3/120 quests in Netherstorm. Wasn't my intentions, but since level 72 I have been mostly doing dailies as follows:
10 on Isle of Quel'Danas 2 in Hellfire 1 Flower 1 cub 3 from shatt
Didn't calculate it, but I think I've been getting about 1/2 level a day doing these dailies. I had intended to quest in Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley, but didn't have much time to play, and by the time my dailies were done, so was my play time.

Level 77
Didn't end up coming to Northrend until level 75. I opened up the walrus daily. Although he isn't required for the daily, I did kill the ex-elite in the cave and finished all the quests at Kamagua. I no longer fight the spawning sharks from the pools. Instead, I just run to shore and drop agro. A tad lazy, I know.
I'm now questing in Borean Tundra, getting ready to go to Amber ledge. Haven't decided if I will do Coldarra. Died there twice. Once to a dc that happened as soon as I mounted up. It's ok to be on a flying mount so long as you are not flying. But if you are caught flying by the elite dragons flying around, they will eat your face. I was barely off the ground when I dc'd. But before I could log back on, the elite found me, and I logged on to a ghost. The first death I ever had was here too. The boss mob with all the casters surrounding him. Even at 74, my pet managed to agro the boss by attacking one of the casters. So now I never do that one. But, I will probably out level the two start zones which is why I may not do Coldarra.
All I want to do is kill/quest, but alas, I have run out of rest which is really vital to me, so I must stop for a bit. I do have 3 1/2 bars of rest, but at this level, it's used up very quickly. Perhaps in a few days.

Level 77 and 18 bars
Coldarra is done. Guess I'm getting cocky and taking unnecessary risks. I'm feeling somewhat invincible compared to pally & monk. A disaster waiting to happen. Really need to start thinking about the risks I take. Since I will out-level the 2 start zones before I am finished, it was silly to do Coldarra. I did get a new belt for my efforts. Another questionable quest is going in the cave at Fizzcrank Airstrip. To do that quest chain, I would need to buy an overcharged capacitor from the AH.
My goal is to get to 80 before going to Dragonblight, following pally's example in zone & level. I figure if pally can do it, it won't be any trouble for druid. It's quite possible that I will hit 80 before even going to Howling Fjord, but not sure yet.
Did the dailies on the island today. Was a waste of time. Not much xp for each quests. Some classes may benefit doing them even up to 80, but it wasn't necessary on druid.
Druid still has awesome self heals. I think pally was 80 when self heals became really poor, so I expect heals to down at 80 too.

Level 78 Dragonblight
It was my intention to go to Howling Fjord after Borean Tundra, but I got so wrapped up in the flow of things, that it wasn't until 13 quests were done in Dragonblight and I had dinged 79 that I realized my mistake. I have decided to stay in Dragonblight because at 79, the mobs in Howling Fjord wouldn't be giving me xp.
Gear is dropping like mana from heaven for druid. I have a new chest, belt, pants, boots, and weapon. I know for pally and hunter gear was very beneficial, so I can only assume it is for druid as well.
There are a few quest lines I don't plan on doing. I will list them as an edit.
Kills: 7704 Dragonblight: 13/115 Quests: 1380/3000
I had a scare. Was vendoring, so I thought. Logged out to update armory & verify I hadn't done any no no's. Luckily I hadn't. Found a chest. woot, 41k xp. It's a chest I've found at least 2 times in Dragonblight, so I always look for it when I come through. I did the really big worm quest. Wow, their 11 sec poison ticks for 1/2 my hp. But druid heals are op, so I was able to heal through it. Finished the zone at 80 and 9 bars. Off to Grizzly Hills.
Kills: 8029 Dragonblight: 110/115 Quests: 1472/3000
Quests I don't do:
1. Thye Noble's Crypt. This quest chain has killed many of imc. You can actually go inside the crypt and kill this boss, just don't pick up the quest in there. But it is a pain. There are a lot of quick spawning mobs to get to the boss that you would have to kill again on your way out. Read what wowhead says. There's a lot of whining over this crypt. Once you pick it up, a bunch of mobs spawn. Boom, you are dead. I did do it on a dead imc to see what's up with it. I did manage to pick it up and hearth out. But that could have just been luck. I was warned early on not to do it. It's what killed a warrior friend who, I believe, was the highest level imc warrior. By not doing this quest, there are a bunch of quests that you will lose out on. But I still believe not worth the risk.
2. My Old Enemy
3. Mystery of the Infinite, Redux. No particular reason I don't do it. I just never have, and since I'm not familiar with it, I figured it wasn't worth the risk.
4. Mighty Manataur. He killed my level 80 Monk. I was on Wyrmrest when he killed another Monk who later went back to attempt it again & determined it wasn't killable by Monks. So although my hunter had no trouble killing him, I decided not to attempt him on Druid.

Grizzly Hills and Zul'Drak were uneventful. Druid seems to be able to handle whatever hunter could. Some things were eaiser for druid thanks to that amazing bird form with it's instant cast. Very powerful to be able to swoop down and harvest/collect things. And to be able to stealth past mobs to get to my destination was nice and efficient. Druid is dressed in a lot of girlie cloth. Will sure be glad when it's replaced with leather. I got a compliment on my uber gear. I told him if he thought my gear was uber, he should see my dps. He offered to take me through some dungeons to get me geared up a bit. Dragonblight: 100/115 Grizzly Hills: 85/85 Zul'Drak: 94/100 Quests: 1636/3000 Kills: 8756 82 and 8 bars and headed to Sholazar. Nice thing about Sholazar is I never turn in the bread crumb quest, so I always have a somewhat instant port there.

Sholazar 82 & 8 bars
Sholazar only took 6 hours. Short zone. I passed on Freya as she wasn't worth the risk. Based on the achievement, it looks like I lost 11 quests for not doing her.
I opened up oracles dailies, and after completing the zone & doing the dailies, I dinged 83. One of the dailies is for level 80's which game me confidence to start on Argent dailies.

Storm Peaks Level 83
OMG, just finished "The Drakkensryd" quest. Still shaking from it. You know the say, "whatever can go wrong, will go wrong". Well, it did, but I lived. Harpooned a riderless drake! Fortunately I was able to harpoon another drake before it de-spawned. And then worst of the worst situation, I aggroed another drake while I was busy fighting the one I was on. That meant I was in combat and would be unable to instant cast flight form should something go wrong. Luckily I was near the top, and I was able to harpoon the light/ornament to get off the drake. Thank goodness this took me out of combat. Now, if you will excuse me, I think I'm going to be sick.

Ice Crown Level 84
I started to do the open quests at Argent Vanguard. But just couldn't bring myself to mount the canon as it killed me once before when the canon blew up & threw me into the mobs, although that isn't suppose to happen, it is a common enough glitch to watch out for. Afterwards, I started the quests to open up Shadow Vaults.
with 6 bars to go before 85, I decided to check out Hyjal as was recommended. The mobs there were giving 3300 xp at 84, which will drop down to almost nothing at 85, however...They took twice as long to kill but weren't giving twice as much xp as Ice Crown mobs. They hit pretty hard, so I was worried about being able to handle two when an inevitable pat would show up. I would probably have to use survival cd's that i'm not use to using, and it would have possibly been like lock candy, "oh, I could have survived had I only remembered lock candy". hmmm.
So back to Ice Crown. Just finished the canon quest, "The Last Line of Defense". I've only ever died once on it, unfortunately it was an ironman. I've probably done the quest over 30 times.
A lot of Ice Crown is very scary, but just having gotten pally through it, they're fresh in my mind, and if pally can do it, druid can.
I will try Hyjal again when I am 85 and finished with Ice Crown. Sure hope I don't have to grind to 86. So tired of grinding. I'd rather be more pro-active in questing. Hoping to not have to grind until 88 and killing mop caterpillars.
Quests: 1883/3000 Storm Peaks: 93/100 (skipped the elite quests lines) Ice Crown: 49/140 (dang, still a lot here, although there is quite a bit I will be skipping) Kills: 10,004
Edit: Dinged 85, then did all the dailies. Wow, there were a lot of them. 3 standard, 3 at Shadow Vaults, 3 at Death Rise, 6 at Sky Breaker, 1 at K-3, 1 at blue ladies, 3 in Sholazar, 1 in Uldum, and 5 or 6 at Hodair. Whew, that was a lot. And for all that effort, I got less than 2 1/2 bars. The 3 standard, cub, flower, and walrus, only give xp based on 80-85. They won't give xp based on 85-90 until I hit 86. Sky Breaker quests were a pain because I've never done them before, so don't have planned route mapped out. I also have to read quests and even look up some of them. I went back to Hyjal to see if questing there improved. It did. Still took a long time to kill, but they weren't hitting me as hard. So an inevitable pat isn't quite so scary. Haven't decided yet if I will dailies/grind until 86 before moving on to cata. I didn't go to cata on my hunter until 86, and I had to do most every quest there in every zone. I believe the Druid has the survivability as the hunter, but she doesn't hit as hard. Heals, stealth, instant flight form are amazing for surviving. And although she doesn't have fd, if all goes well, she has shadowmeld. So far I've only used it to get out of battle for glitches and such. I'll repeat the dailies after reset and finish up Ice Crown quests today. The last of the Ice Crown quests are somewhat intimidating as I have never done them on any ironman toon before, and I vaguely remember them from regular toons.
Quests: 1942/3000 Ice Crown: 102/140 Hyjal: 7/115 Kills: 10,543
Did another round of dailies. 2 days worth gave me 5 bars of xp. Boy Ymeirheim daily sure is scary. Met up with a flagged npc again. He seemed to be chasing me while I was stealthed. I thought he had me there for a moment. Then I went into a building to get my last mob & 4 of them showed up. Luckily Alliance npc's showed up & engaged them in battle while I stealthed out.
Although I would love to rush through & head off to cata, I really think it's best to wait until at least 86. At this point, I think I might be done with the quests in Ice Crown too. Probably will just start working on Monk while I wait to ding 86. Total kills are no 10,719, which means dailies give me about 176 kills, +/- depending on the drops I need.
Kills: 10,719

Level 86 Hyjal
Druid is so not op now. Her heals took a dive. Rejuvenation no longer gives me an awesome initial heal. It's healing abilities didn't increase as much as my hp did. I now also have mana issues for the first time and must carry water. It's mana intensive to pop in & out of cat form to heal. It's really only an issue if I am chain pulling or fighting a boss or getting an add.
Beginning of Hyjal I had a pretty big scare. Needed to kill the slave driver who has a side kick. Unfortunately, I also aggroed a hunter. Only arriving shortly before in Hyjal, I wasn't sure what the druid was capable of. I won, need I say more? It did get my mana precariously low, and that's when I bought water. I over did it a little. I bought 120, and after finishing Hyjal, I still have 86.
"The Gatekeeper" had me a little worried. From experience with hunter, I knew to clear. With how slowly I kill now, I was concerned with respawns, but it didn't happen. I also wasn't sure what kind of damage the boss does. Turns out, the boss does no damage to me. The summoned npc's keep all agro. Killed the boss, I win, wait, no I didn't win, no credit, no quest completion. Boss is an instant respawn. Do I dare kill him again? Will the adds spawn before I can kill him a second time? Should I look up the quest to find out why I didn't get credit? Naw, he's here. Go for the throat. This time I used Moonfire for added dps seeing how I didn't need my mana for heals. Woot, boss dead & quest completed. I turned around, and lo & behold a 90 pally is there. No clue if he attacked the boss too. If he did, it was at the end of the fight, so the length of the fight seemed comparable to my first attempt.
Dag nab it, can't kill Desperiona before the buff wears off for the quest "Death to the Broodmother". My pally couldn't either, but pally had way less dps. My hunter could. I didn't use moonfire because I did have to heal. But it's quite possible I can do both. I didn't monitor my mana, so I will when/if I come back. The xp is 43k instead of the standard 27k, so it's worth it to come back after I hit 87, maybe. Since I didn't do this one, I will wait on it's twin, "Magma Monarch" Have to look that one up as I have forgotten if there are any issues with it.
I was hoping to be free from dailies, but I see that's not going to happen. Hyjal gave me 10 bars, but that included 2 days of dailies. Dailies I did/do are Argent, Hodir, Shadow Vaults, Death Rise, Uldum, 1 in Hyjal, and our 3 "iron' dailies. I stopped doing K-3, the blue ladies, Sholazar, and the air ship. I found the air ship dailies just too blasted irritating. And still with all these and finishing Hyjal, only 10 bars. Hoping Vashjir's glitching door doesn't glitch this time.
