All I can say is "Ouch". After the 6.0 squish making it to 100 under normal ironman rules is a pain. With Bliz, DC's and problems, the ISP oops, etc. Think I'll stick to traditional ironman rules.

Have no expectation of getting anywhere close to 100, but want to see how far I can get with the minimum. The idea of investing months in leveling only to die at 80-something, or something similar, seems very demoralizing. I can invest a few weeks and get to 30-something, and be OK with trying to beat that.

Well, I'm sure eventually things will get difficult, but I have already played an Iron Warrior to 27 (death by disconnect) and my current Naked Iron Warrior is 18 with no problems so far. Cool. Good luck.

OK, I finally caught my Naked Petless Iron Hunter, Fenakhuni, up to my Naked Iron Warrior, Fenakwarii, at level 18.
I was a little disappointed that with the benefit of an extra zone of questing for my Panda Hunter, and only questing with rested bonus, my Hunter only got about an extra quarter of a level compared to my Warrior. Don't know what the optimal strategy is for completing quests to maximize experience. Should I do all yellows and clean up the grays later, or do every thing as green? I think the higher level is better if feasible, but safety is paramount, so don't plan to chase many orange quests.
No problems for either so far, and I have completed the first tier of zones. Now I will use my warrior as a bit of a scout for my hunter, although I have done these so many times I don't think I will have any surprises. Barring a mistake on my part, I don't expect any issues until I reach the level 20+ zones, and should be in the mid twenties (at least) by then, maybe 30.

Got Fenakwarii up to 19, and decided I don't know if I can handle leveling two characters at a time, so I switched my attention to Fenakhuni and got him to 20.
When I run out of rested bonus I'll switch back to warrior, but I know these zones pretty well so don't need to scout things out for the hunter with the warrior.

Fenakhuni, dead at 21 (less than half a bubble from 22).
I can't believe this happened, killed by a mob nine levels below me.
Doing a quest in Darkshore, and all I needed to do was loot an item. Aggroed a mob nine levels below me, and not wanting to deal with it, I just ran, and ran ... and ran.
Eventually, all that minor damage adds up and I was low. Used the Panda ability Quaking Palm to stun it for four seconds to let me get away, and yet after the stun, he ran me down and continued beating on me.
At this point I was getting low so I tried a bandage, which in the middle of combat did minimal good.
Jumped off a small cliff hoping to gain some distance since I didn't feel confident in surviving a battle at this point since I do such minimal damage, but that was no use.
I suppose I could have tried my Disengage ability to create some more distance, but all my other attempts to do that failed, and I was in a bit of a panic and didn't think of it at the time.
I am utterly astonished, astounded, and mystified that the mob pursued me so far! I literally can NOT believe it!!!
I expected to reach the mid twenties at least, probably upper twenties, and possibly 30 as a Naked Petless Iron Hunter, so this death was very premature.
If nothing else, this should serve as a lesson to never take ANYTHING for granted as an Iron, as if I hadn't learned that before.
What would have been a nothing battle had, I just committed to it from the beginning, resulted in a death that may be the straw that ended my Iron experience.

Fenakwarii, death by disconnect at 21.
No problems to that point, and had plenty of upside. Mid twenties should be easy, and my next goal is to make 30, which I think is doable, but beyond that I do not know.
Good thing my subscription expires in 3 days since I think I need a break.
When (if?) I come back I want to play Fenakhunii, my naked petless Hunter who is currently gaining rested bonus.

After my subscription expired, I realized that you can play for free up to level 20, so I have been leveling up a variety of characters of different classes before I have to start paying again.
My petless Hunter, Mage, Priest, Shaman, and Warrior have reached 20.
Started a Paladin and got him up to 15, and my minionless Warlock is at 14.
Remaining classes are Druid, Monk, and Rogue (Death Knight seems near impossible as naked).
Druid played so many times in the past, and they are one of the easier classes (stealth, ranged dps, healing) in my opinion, so I may hold off on a Druid.
Monk will wait as well as, for whatever reason, people seem to have had some success with them (although might be some differences naked) so appear to be less of a challenge.
Mage has many escapes (blink, sheep, freeze, slow) so very easy so far.
Priest is also very easy (heal, shield, dot, ranged dps).
Shaman also going well with healing, totem which is like a dot, and ranged dps, plus instant cast damage.
Warlock, even without a minion, is very doable with fear, a dot, and healthstone.
Paladin, without a weapon you can't generate any Holy Power so you have no healing, but you do have an instant cast ranged dps spell which makes paladin stronger than warrior.
All of the ranged classes seem very doable as naked.
Warrior is a challenge, but making progress.
Hunter, without a pet or a weapon, is even more limited than a warrior, with only melee auto attack for damage.

Started a naked Rogue, and while I was gaining rested bonus, I avoided any quest which required killing which would use up my rested bonus.
I realized that, for some unknown reason, you actually walk faster while stealthed than normal walking pace, which made exploration quite a bit easier.
Got up to level 10 with only exploration and non-killing quests and I though I might give Pacifist a shot since my stats said I had killed 0 mobs and done 0 damage.
A short while later, after I had completed the exploration and what quests are available in the four starting zones, I checked my stats and noticed I had apparently killed 6 mobs!
WHAT?!
Finally tracked down what I think I did to foul up my Pacifist.
There is a quest in Dun Morogh where you have to free some Dwarves frozen in a block of ice. I purposely avoided the quest you do at the same time where you kill water elementals because I didn't want to kill anything.
Didn't occur to me that breaking Dwarves out of ice would count as a kill, but I guess it is the same mechanic as combat where the ice block has a health bar that you get to zero through normal combat.
DOH!!!
At least I discovered it before I got Herbalism and Mining which would have screwed up my Ironman also, although I am currently not eligible for Ironman either since at level 10 I only have killing blows on six blocks of ice.

Not actually faster than normal but a few expansions ago they did let us move at normal speed stealthed. it used to be like 30% slower or something like that while stealthed..... so much nicer now.

The tooltip on the icon that is displayed when you enter stealth mode actually says: Not much, and barely noticeable (in fact, without the tooltip I would probably think it's just normal walking speed), but definitely makes things easier stealthed. Exploration at walking speed in stealth mode with a much reduced aggro radius is very nice. Can do things I otherwise couldn't, which could actually be a bad thing at times. Venturing into Duskwood and encountering level ?? mobs snapped me back to my senses. (but I did get 80 exploration experience so well worth it )

That is a glitched/bad tool tip then because mine doesn't say the same and in the character window it shows 100% movement not 105%... still beats the old reduced rate though

The difference you are seeing is the Night Elf benefit of enhanced stealth. Brittle, I'm betting that your rogue is not a NE.

My Night Elf Rogue's normal movement speed is 102%, and 107% while in stealth.
Night Elves have Quickness, a Racial ability that gives a 2% movement speed increase.
