Fenak, Panda Warrior, dead at 32.
At 30, level 21 quests were doable, and level 22 quests were a little more risky.
Decided to do some exploration of Horde zones (Hillsbrad, Silverpine), and some a little over my head (Arathi). Together with the Plants vs. Zombies quests (not dailies), was able to make 32.
Wanted to finish off the Redridge quests, so did level 19 quest that was undoable at 30, pretty easy at 32. Wasn't sure about the next quest in the chain so I tried on my previous level 30 Warrior scout and was pretty easy, so was very surprised when it turned out to be fatal for my level 32 Iron.
Wanted to make 35, which is my naked max on my petless Hunter, but without Freezing Trap might have been tough.
While doable, battles were long and slow. Had finally gotten to the point of finishing off all lower level quests so I was actually doing quests and killing mobs that were no longer gray to me. The green level mobs were more of a challenge and I expected the level difference between me and my quests/mobs would continue to decrease, and increase in difficulty.
On a Warrior, mid-thirties are doable, but not sure about 40. Caster classes I suspect have a greater upside.
And with that, the Naked Man has come to end, at least for me. Do not plan on rerolling, and expect to have a very long, possibly permanent, retirement.
Enjoy.

Although i do think you should roll a paladin, slap on some armour, slam a shield on your back, grab a sword, and give iron man proper a last hurrah, get your name up there, then retire.

Thought I'd finish off my Iron career with a return to where it all started, with Ironworgen, a Worgen Druid.
Been playing Warrior, the most difficult Naked class, so Druid (the easiest imo) should be a cakewalk, and so far it is.
Made level 31 and just finished off Redridge and all the level 10-20 zones. Did some exploration and non-combat quests in the next tier (Ashenvale, Duskwood, Wetlands) but just started the combat quests.
While I do consider Ironworgen to be 'Naked', I have slightly tweaked my guidelines to allow starter gear only since I really like the style of Worgen caster (Mage, Priest, Warlock) starter gear. Think I'm wearing Priest gear for now, but I do have access to all three styles. It does give me a buff from true Naked, but I don't think 8 armor will be that much of an advantage over 0 armor. Plus, I look so good, and people won't keep asking me why I am naked anymore.
With healing, stealth, and Cat form combat that is far more effective than punching things with my fists, things that were undoable on a Warrior are absurdly simple as a Feral Druid. Unlike Warrior, I think I still have a LOT of upside from here.
My subscription just expired, and I have real world things to attend to, so I won't be back for a while, but Ironworgen will be ready when I return.

So, I figured since I was leveling my Naked Druid, I had something of a scout for one last attempt with a Naked Warrior, so I'm taking advantage of the free play to get to level 20 before I really take a break. I did decide to switch to Worgen for what I consider to be a better racial, Darkflight. While Panda's Quivering Palm was useful, running away from combat at high speed is more valuable to me.
First hurdle to overcome was killing a level 9 named spider. Couldn't kill at level 9 or 10 so I thought I would level up my First-aid to get the Heavy Linen bandage which could make the difference in a tough fight. Came to find out that after the cataclysm sweeps the mainland under the sea, the First-aid trainer is no longer accessible. Ground spiders and banshees to level 11 which made the spider doable.
Next hurdle was killing level 10 mobs Baron Ashbury and Lord Walden. Not doable at levels 11, 12, or 13. Killed a lot of Brown Stags to get to level 14 which was all that was necessary.
Next challenge was the level 11 Ogre in the mines. Didn't know if level 14 would be sufficient or not, but turned out to be easier than Baron Ashbury and Lord Walden.
The rest was very easy and got out of the Worgen starting area at level 15.
Hard part is over for now and have a couple levels above my normal status after leaving the starting zone, so in pretty good shape for my best Warrior run yet.

Fenak Worgen Warrior up to level 19 with completed quests ready to turn in for 20.
With the extra levels I needed to grind to get out of the Worgen starting area, I am at my most advanced level yet at this point. Completed the exploration and non-combat quests in the four starting zones, and most of the non-combat quests available in the next tier. When I decide to renew my subscription and turn in my completed quests to make level 20, I will then begin the combat quests in the level 1-10 zones. Think I am two, maybe three, levels ahead of my best prior pace so looking good.
I really do have real world issues to focus on now, and I have procrastinated long enough (I'm very good at that), so I will be taking a break until later (not sure when). Feeling very positive about the future.

After multiple deaths, with a high of 32, I decided to make a change.
As an Arms Warrior, it seemed that difficulties started in the low thirties, and not that I had maxed out, but I felt I needed to do something for easier further advancement.
Decided that Protection was the most powerful spec with a stamina bonus, Thunderclap at 14 (instant cast, 6 second cooldown, and probably three times the damage of my unarmed auto attack), and thus was born Krikor Worgen Protection Warrior.
Thunder Clap was a HUGE boon and made combat much quicker and easier. Hardest part was advancing far enough to get to new zones I haven't done countless times before. I have played as an Iron almost exclusively for the past 5+ years. Playing a zone as an Iron for the first time, with a hazy memory of what things used to be, on top of all of the changes and new things, made for some tense encounters.
Had a few unexpected run-ins with PvP mobs that resulted in flagging me and produced some heart stopping moments before I could hearth out to safety.
Did get a couple more abilities, unavailable in Arms, that really improved my survivability. Last Stand (30% health buff) at 32, combined with Dark Flight (racial 40% speed buff), made flight from combat much safer. Ignore Pain (ignore 90% of damage for more health than I have fully healed) at 40 made challenging named mob fights easily doable.
My Warrior spec change to Protection did just what I hoped, and I added 8+ levels to my highest Naked Warrior, and 5+ levels to my highest Naked of any class.

My Warrior spec change to Protection did just what I hoped, and I added 8+ levels to my highest Naked Warrior, and 5+ levels to my highest Naked of any class. ... and with that I have to report the death of Krikor Naked Protection Warrior at 42. Was able to advance beyond my previous Warriors, but began running into the same type of issues. At 41, level 34 quests were more of a challenge than I felt comfortable with, and I was running out of quests to do. Met my demise as, once again, I was jumped by a lower level PvP mob hiding around a corner. Never in any real danger, as I out leveled him by many levels, but hate the fact the getting attacked flags you, even if you don't attack yourself. Easily ran out of combat, and across the path of a level ?? Blood Elf effing effer son of a mother on a flying mount. Thought he was going to toy with me and let me go as he followed me as I ran. When I stopped to hearth to safety, he just watched until he finally struck me down. After death, I did go back to see if the quests that had held my back at 41 were doable at 42, and they were, so I do feel like I had more of an upside. 140 hours, 1000+ quests, 42 levels. With the coming changes for level scaling, I don't think I will have the option of fighting mobs 5, 7, 8 or more levels below me, so I think my Naked Challenge may be coming to an end. I had the time to play for a month and a half to log 140 hours, but now I don't. It would probably take me three months just to get back to the same point, and I think I read that is about the time the level scaling will take affect. Do have a level 36 Naked Worgen Druid, which could easily level. Did Stitches in Duskwood in a matter of seconds, where my Warrior had a long challenging battle at 37, so I could continue with my Druid, but there goes the whole challenge I was looking for, the most difficult Naked class to level. I even felt a little guilty of resorting to Protection spec on my Warrior. With that said, I think my Iron experience may have officially ended, along with WoW in general (I still haven't bought the last expansion, and don't plan to get the new one either). Best of luck to all on your continued exploits. Enjoy!

On that note, when we finally get Classic servers, you should try out a naked Warrior back then. I did it back then and in Cata and had a blast. I never really got high in classic, but in Cata, allowing everything except wearing gear, I got as ight at 56, enetering Swamps of Sorrow. Since buffs, talent trees, skills and consumable were different back then it led to some interesting changes. In a world, where Thunderclap is your main DPS skill besides auto attacks and you still regularly used Battle Shout and Demoralizing Shout, stacked up on various potions, scrolls and buffs or in Cata's case profitted from the profession bonus, it made the challenge more bearable and actually fun imo.
I really recommend doing that. Even if you would allow deaths, just trying to get far is actually quite difficult. I remember dieing several times on my Dwarfen Warrior in Cata on some of the Burning Steppes Quests, it was still fun as hell using several consumable to finally beat a named quest mob.

While I did previously state that my Naked Challenge may be coming to an end with the advent of scaling mobs. I didn't feel it was fair to abandon without giving it a try, so with 7.3.5 I created a Naked Panda Warrior.
My previous strategy was to level either a Worgen or a Panda for the extra low level questing zone in order to maximize my experience. Don't know if that really matters now with the scaling, but did give it a try. So far unable to get a Worgen beyond level 7 and the quest to kill the captains on the ships before the cataclysm. May try leveling up to 8, but with scaling may never be able to get over that hurdle.
Was able to get a Panda out of the starting zone. The only real hurdle was Guardian of the Elders, undoable at level 9, but successful as a Protection Warrior at 10, with 4% health to spare. Whew! In the past, there was a stamina bonus for Protection Warriors, but with 7.3.5 I can’t find any evidence that is still the case, so not sure if that was responsible for defeating the Guardian or not.
Finally got to Stormwind at level 14. In the past I generally out leveled mobs by at least 5 levels, so I thought with scaling in effect (making that impossible) I was justified in going Protection for the added Thunder Clap damage.
Did all of the different beginning zones. The starting areas do not scale so was able to do those areas with ease for some added experience, but the rest of the zones do scale, making combat a challenge, so I focused on exploration and non-combat quests.
Did all of the Alliance 10-60 and 15-60 zones (except Ashenvale which has been reclassified to level 15 instead of 20). Currently sitting at level 19 with 16 completed quests to turn in to get me close to 21. Plan to also do the Ashenvale exploration and non-combat quests which might even get me to 22.
With mobs scaling, exploring zones might be a bit easier. I stumbled into Duskwood across the bridge from Westfall at 19 and encountered level 20/21 bears instead of the normal 24/25. Also, exploration experience scales as well so get substantial exploration experience from all zones. May even be worthwhile to visit some low level Horde zones for full exploration experience (instead of the usual 10 or 15 exp per subarea) and a couple levels right there.
Also, I believe (need to confirm this) that the starting zones are scaled 1-20 instead of 60 like all of the other zones. This means I might be able to complete some combat quests with lower level mobs (but again, I need to confirm this). If I can reach the next tier of content (level 25-60) zones, I can try to explore those and do any non-combat quests there as well. Hope to be able to make 25 before I am forced to do scaled combat with mobs my own level.
Naked combat looks to be a challenge. Have done some battles to test the waters and was able to defeat mobs in the late teens, but can’t go toe-to-toe with them. As a Protection Warrior, I can Thunder Clap for good damage and a slow. That allows me to get enough space to get distance and waste time to Charge in and Thunder Clap again. With 2 charges of Charge for a Protection Warrior, using that rinse and repeat strategy was successful in defeating mobs, but not sure how far that can take me.
Plan to wait until March before I resubscribe to level beyond 20, which will give a month of 31 days instead of a paltry 28.
Not sure how far I can get in the Naked Challenge as a Warrior in 7.3.5, but I’m looking at high twenties (crosses fingers). May also try a Naked Druid as well which should have a far higher upside. Time will tell.

So far unable to get a Worgen beyond level 7 and the quest to kill the captains on the ships before the cataclysm. Finally defeated the Captain Anson with a more than adequate 8% health remaining. In the past, there was a stamina bonus for Protection Warriors, but with 7.3.5 I can’t find any evidence that is still the case, so not sure if that was responsible for defeating the Guardian or not. Got my Worgen to level 10 with 306 health. Respecced to Protection and got boosted to 396, a 90 health jump (nearly 30%), not bad. Next challenge is the big spider, Rygna. In the past, I would get there at level 9 and have to level up to 10 to defeat her. This time I got there at level 10, with no necessary grinding. Tougher battle than before, and had her down to 4% when I got knocked down to 1%. Way too late to run, and I hoped my next hit would kill her, instead I made an unintended visit to the graveyard. Looking at the numbers, I probably would have needed 2 hits to do 4% damage, and my 1% clearly didn't last that long. I think she is defeatable, but she's not the big hurdle to overcome. Baron Ashbury and Lord Walden are the real challenge here. Before, I believe I had to grind stags from 11 to 14 to beat those guys. While Thunder Clap at 14 is a big boon, I seem to recall it was still a challenge last time, and with mob scaling in effect, not sure if it is enough. For now I'm just going to let it go and wait until March to continue with my Panda. If I make another Warrior attempt, I'll see about getting a Worgen out of the starting zone, but not now.

I managed to get my naked Ironman priest to 30. I died yesterday when the distraction from the quest in Redridge backfired and drew their attention instead. Three elites and a dragon took great interest in me. On the plus side, I know it's possible to do the bravo company quests leading up to that point. At least on a priest. A combination of shield, instant heal, and psychic scream can get you pretty far.
I've also started a naked warrior. He's only level 7 or so. Had to skip the ice troll in the starter zone, but the other quests haven't been too bad yet.

Nice to see someone else willing to bare it all!
No combat necessary for those Redridge quests, but with scaling mobs now, the expanded agro radius might make me uncomfortable. And there's also the chance of some glitch.
Starting areas don't scale like the rest of the zone, so come back later and show that troll who's boss.
Lots of exploration and non-combat quests to do to advance a few levels.
Good luck.
