I was here to argue to allow green gear, but then I thought about the green azerite gear I've gotten on my main, and I see there is a green man challenge now, so I've changed my mind on that. Something has to change though. The ironman challenge shouldn't be sitting and playing Plants vs Zombies for weeks on end. I vote for talents.

As far as talents go, Tinman does allow that. Worth a try, if that's what you're looking for.

you needed a tank pet would survive longer, I disagree. I've experimented, trying to change my pet to tenacity, and personally I've found ferocity is best. It hits harder, which is important because you want your enemy to go down quickly, and if your pet dies you always have the heart of the phoenix option.

Definitely no fishing or any other tradeskill that grants easy 'risk-free' dailies. Ah right, I forgot about the dailies. Good point. Don't we already have a challenge where you can use green gear? Isn't that what Tinman is for? Tinman doesn't permit green quality gear. I think a Green Man challenge as seperate to Ironman is a pretty cool idea, but I still want talents for Ironman itself.

So i got to level 19 and logged out... Logged in again and i logged in at the graveyeard i have no idea how i died? i have been stood in the same spot now for 10 minutes where my skeletal body is nothing has attacked me or is even close? thats hard to take I'm so sorry, deaths like that are the worst I'll never forget leaving my character by the flightmaster in Andorhal, thinking a village would be safe, only to be killed by a freaking minuteman. Basically never log out until you're safely in an inn. A capital city is best if you can manage it.

I'm not sure about green-quality items, but I do think we could consider the following:
Talents Food buffs (They can't be tracked anyway, and they only really become useful and significantly available after level 80) White-quality enchantments (rugged armor kits, sharpening stones, scopes, etc) *edit* or even just enchants. How much can you do with junk gear? *edit* Oh, and fishing!

After some thought, I've decided that it's time to prioritize. With my alts, my new main, and all the things I want to do before BfA, I just can't justify having an iron to work on right now. So I did an experiment that I'm curious about - do white armor kits and white scopes count as enchantments? (They do) And spent a fun few minutes trying to suicide my iron (Panda was a good choice - nearly impossible to kill with falling damage) used the love tickets I've bought so far to get a couple of lovely dresses, (they're uncommon quality now, btw) and deleted my iron and my tin.
I will create new iron in BfA. The rules do feel like they need a little bit of fine-tuning right now anyway.
To everyone else, good luck!

The first 20 levels are so braindead easy anyway, I don’t see the harm in it Less than they used to be Eh, they're still very easy.

I think they might balance out some of the zones. Draenor sounds like a hack job. Otherwise I agree - I doubt there will be a lot of change, especially as their focus is now on BfA. Levelling normally *is* a lot more fun now.
If they do make changes, I suspect it will be to heirlooms, which won't affect irons either way.

You're aware that it's possible to disagree with people who are presenting a viewpoint without getting personal? I'm just curious here, because I've been hanging out on the official forums, and if you think this thead has crying in it, you've not seen people complaining about the allied race rep grind. Anyway. I would welcome talents, for a few reasons: First: I started Ironman partly because I wanted to get better at my class. While I've never gotten all the way to 110, there's no doubt Ironman has made me a better player in general. Playing my main feels instinctive on a new level now. However, I do find it frustrating that I just can't use certain abilities while I'm playing my irons, and it means that even achieving 110 on an iron will only be able to teach me so much, because Ironman is, inherently, that seperated from the rest of the game. I see the point of proving that you're so good at a class, you can get to max level with crap gear, with no xp buffs, and without dying. I still don't quite understand the point of proving that you're so good at a fraction of your class you can etc etc. And as we're not allowing talents, why allow anything that you're given after level 1? Why allow use of anything other than auto-attack? Hell, why allow mounts? Technically they're buffs. Suck it up, cry babies! I mean eventually the rules feel a little random sometimes. Not allowing talents when we've been forced into specs just seems pointless now, tbh. When we're still using common or junk armor and weapons are they REALLY such a HUGE buff? Green gear would be quite the buff. Not convinced talents would be, but maybe I'm underestimating them. I would argue that the challenge would remain just as hard, and still much harder than it was before 7.3.5, with talents. Hard enough to stay a true challenge. (And for those who feel it isn't, there's always the naked man challenge.) I want one talent and one talent only. If I could pick a talent it would be this one: Trailblazer. I MISS MY 30% SPEED BOOST. Running around at a slow speed is agony. Just plain agony, I tell you. And finally, I'd be rid of that "you haven't chosen any talents" reminder.

Level 22.
I have one Nightborne I'm trying to level to max level as she's gonna be my main. I have my old main, who I'm using to still occasionally farm rep. I have 6 other level 100s and my ex-iron 102, who I'm using to farm the Love is in the Air mount. I also want to get those level 100s into Class Order Halls, since I've heard you can make a lot of money that way, but suspect, like Garrisons, that'll change with BfA. I also don't have nearly the time I had over the holidays.
Basically, I've decided Love is in the Air would have been awesome at level 100, but in my 20s it's kinda pointless. So far normal quests are just as doable and, since there's no giant run around, slightly less time consuming.
I was going to finish all the zones that cap at level 20, but now I wonder if there's much point to that. With so many zones to choose from, if I ever get to a quest that's impossible I can just look for another quest.

Level 21ish. (Tin is at 22).
Love is in the Air is too depressing. I keep thinking of how great these dailies would have been for my previous ironman. Ugh.

Why are Bloodthirsty allowed green gear? I always assumed it's because they would have to fight mobs their own level, can't make xp otherwise, but now level scaling is here the same is true for everyone. Are there other reasons as well?

It is with sad heart that I have decided to leave wow after 10 years...level scaling sucks; I wish you all the best of luck! Sorry to read this. Personally I love level scaling. It's a pity it's made ironman so hard, but I've rarely enjoyed normal levelling this much.
